I do not like the layout of this house. You never ever place a refrigerator in the dining room. They needed to make the kitchen larger and put the refrigerator in there. All bedrooms should be towards the back of the house. You never have a door to a bedroom open into the living room where you will come into contact with your guest. Also a guest bathroom that opens into the living room is a terrible idea. There is no laundry room. The bedroom tiles and the bathroom tiles do not match whatsoever. The first floor is boxy it does not flow. The only thing that I like about this house is the balcony. With all that space, this house could've been beautiful but is not.

It’s sad truth about how we approach everything as Ghanaians. Most people will tell you that as long as they can get a place to sleep in it they are comfortable. We just don’t see any value in design thinking.
I agree with you. There is something unsettling about the building and you couldn't have said it better.
I dont like yard. Too much tiles. I use to trees and plants. Layout is not utilized properly. Nice balcony though

House too dark inside. Window style and security bars could be different to allow more natural light. What about security glass that have invisible steel feature built in? Black tile also contribute to darkness of house. Kitchen small. I know in West African kitchens have doors and are not open concept built. This is very strange for Americans where the kitchen is an integral part of Black American's home and lifestyle and not separated from living space by a door. Also the bathrooms are extremely narrow. Outdoor no greenery or relaxing space, i.e patio/ bar-b-que area or play area for kids
Overall looks like house was designed without thought to light, use of space or functionality. As a African American women I would not buy this home.
If it was me I would get a bull dozer and start from scratch. This house has no design or functionality. Shame what a waste of land. 🤦🏽♀️
This house has a lot of potential. With all that land space, whoever buys can do a lot of things with it...even improve the inside how they want..lots of potential for desired changes.
The land looks more like 100 by 100 or even bigger...anyways, back to the video
I seriously hate seeing those window steel bars in Ghanaian houses. I understand why they do it but it feels like looking at jail windows. Am disappointed with the downstairs hall. A house like this deserves a grand entrance hall, also the kitchen should have been bigger with all that land. Nice house though but I feel like wasted land space. Too much tiles not enough grass and trees, plus the person could have made a mini basketball court or a pool.
Right on point. Outdoor space is ☑️. Beautiful house. I was expecting larger rooms too. Beautiful kitchen but small. A lot can be done with the outdoor space if the new owner want to add more.

Lots of room for changes for someone who wants different. Anyone who buys can adjust to suit their own taste. Different people like different things n some people have simply learned to live within their means. I bet the owners own this outright n no one could kick them out. Some folks with their 'grand' homes, especially in places like USA only 'own' the house as long as they keep paying that long term mortgage. God forbid something happens to them and they can't pay for a few months, the mortgage company or bank kicks them out n they are either homeless, or still even worse off than these people. Some folks just don't need to impress anyone. They have what they know they can afford n sometimes they live in better peace n a lot less stress than some with their grandiose this n that. Everybody do their own thing.
If you want to buy n change to your taste ..awesome, buy n change, but why so much criticism of why owners don't have grand this n that. Maybe they just don't care for that, the way like you do.
I feel like if someone is going to break in, they are going to do it no matter what.
@@WAAA51 Yeah sure. Yet that being said, deterrent make it less likely to be targeted and takes them much longer and make it more difficult which means it will stop a lot of possibilities. It's like putting money in a vault, or alarms in your home, or having dogs for protection. None of it will stop some, yet it will likely stop most since they will prefer easier targets where they are less likely to get caught in the act.

@@galaxymultimediaentertainm7035 Its ok. We are all learning. I asked because in Africa we are used to building small rooms in houses even when the site size is big like in this video. As a builder, I'll be working with a 2000 square meter(20,000 square feet land) and I prefer wide rooms, etc.

The large white upright appliance is not a fridge but a standalone air condtioner as opposed to a split level AC one fits upon a wall. The upright appliance is a lot nicer for use in a large open plan setting.

A box sitting in a sauna ! A 4 bedroom house with large compound , not a single plant or greenery in sight, no pool and no car port for the a car. Greenery will add value to this property and car port will hide the cars away . Finish is not my cup of tea. You can build a stunning house with 270 000 ghs !

Ample land, but horrible house design from the outside. Choice of color in paint is dull as well.
Are the security bars able to open on the windows? If not, this is a safety concern if fire traps you in.
If you think it’s ridiculous to install burglar proof windows at you homes in Ghana because thieves will break in anyway the I’ll suggest you actually don’t need to lock your doors and your cars. Burglars will brake in anyway 🤪🤪. In a country where security is poor your safety begins with you. As a builder myself I advise clients to use iron bars and not the hollow pipes for burglar proofing. Where we don’t have 911 ooo.
