- Samsung has launched new Galaxy S-series models, and at the entry level position, the Samsung Galaxy S24 takes over from the Galaxy S23, but what's changed? Has Samsung done enough to upgrade this compact flagship phone?

I will stick to my S23 for 3 more years.
Same no matter what
Agree
Same , not worth price of upgrade and specially for markets without snapdragon gen 3
@@GreenElectricEarth totally agree. I the reason I got the S23 ultra from the S22 ultra was the upgrade from Exynos
Lol yeah fr
I always stick with a phone for 3-4 or sometimes when broke 5 years
I really want to buy a new phone in the end months of this year
I have a S20 FE which was a beast at its release, was a cheaper option of flagship phones
But I really want an upgrade, eventhough my phone is still working perfectly
But I can't have UI 6.0, which is one reason, the second reason is that I want to upgrade my phone camera, bcz I love taking pictures
Watching this on Samsung Galaxy s8
Miss the notification light
S8+with 2/3 rd of the screen burnt in...😂
Galaxy s3 here
S8 was a revolution in phone technology.
S20 fe here but I'm defo due an upgrade my phone is shot
S23--- SNAPDRAGON PROCESSOR!!!
S24 in usa will get snapdrango 😅
@Not everyone lives in the US however
@ exynos
S24 great phone with 7 years updates🤗 I have the Exynos version and have nothing to complain. Battery life is excellent and the phone is superfast. Ai functions are great and very useful 👌
Exynos is practically the same thing.
I see a lot of comments being negative towards the S24 from people who already have a S23. If you're contemplating upgrading up one generation, that's the problem right there. Break out of that compulsion. People expect too many upgrades per year. No one said you have to buy it every year.
same of you samsung fans wont say that about the iphone 14 and 15
Yeah exactly, you can always go back and trade it in for a higher gen phone later. You dont need to spend all that money on pretty much the same phone with a few new features that are not that important, at least for most.
@@presto4009 yes we will, upgrading from a 14 to a 15 is stupid unless your dying to have a type c charger. The s23 and s24 are too close to demand an upgrade. Now if your on the s21, or s20 it's definitely something worth looking into
@@heres.ray64honestly tho, the upgrades from 14 pro to 15 pro are bigger than those of from s23 ultra to s24 ultra
I've had my S10e for nearly 5 years and now upgrading to S24... that's the way to do it. I think it's really unnecessary and financially brainless to upgrade every two years
Still S23 better deal since it's price drops
But its only 100€ difference in Europe now
S23 is better in the eu since snapdradon is better than exyenos@@lauraburagaite4404
@@lauraburagaite4404 Retailers haven't reacted yet, the s23's price should drop significantly in the coming few months.
@@lauraburagaite4404its many different
@@lauraburagaite4404dont forget we get the exynos chipset again in the s24
S23 + Snapdragon 💯
Thats what i have
YES I'm sticking with it
The new Exynos 2400 is actually not bad. There are multiple benchmark tests as well as battery tests and gaming tests on youtube which shows a huge improvement in the Exynos chip. It's actually competing with the gen 3 snapdragon pretty well. I pre ordered the S24+ and am feeling confident about it.
@@sircameaIotwe don’t want it to compete, we want equal performance if we’re paying the same price
@@BigBoss7777777 you're contradicting yourself. It IS competing when it has equal performance lmao
S23 still rocks 🤩
Yup
The galaxy S23 is so refined that it doesn't even need more refinement for a year or two.
Yeah they should have upgrade the camera and ram of the base model tho. I'll stick with the s23 for now
the s23 honestly looks more premium
Exactly bro, I was also thinking the same
Tbh you could even keep it for longer. I'm still on my S20e and it's still a great experience 4 years later
@@Fcmoleicester no it's not lol
@@dappadondadda100 You got cameras on me mate?
Bro they look the same😂
S24 looks premium ❤
Tbh S23 looks more new gen in my opinion
S23 design is GOATED
In short:- if you already have s23 no need to buy s24 not worth upgrading
If s23 will get s24 ai features then it isnt worth upgrading
@@jokast8861no it not you know they have an AI app you can download
how about when you currently own an s8?😂😂
@@jokast8861 you thing it will get it?
How about when u currently own an A54. Upgrade to S24 or maybe S23+?
I'm very happy with my s23. No need to upgrade. And don't want to have exynos😂
Same😂
Great dude...i also go for s23 in this year mid...august september..2024..😅
Exynos 2400 is wiping the floor with your snapdragon gen 2 😂
@@sircameaIotyeah and it’s newer and more expensive. It’s not better than the Gen 3 is it which is what it’s competing against
@@BigBoss7777777 It's quite on par with a few area's where it's lacking just a little bit. But definitely a big improvement since the last chip. I'm happy to buy the s24 :)
At this point, no one cares about these tiny incremental changes 🤷
They’re not for the people who bought last years phone.
@@Brian-wp9er you'll be fine with a 3yr old phone. You don't need this garbage.
@@emu256 Did you read my comment? Or do you just feel like arguing? Because I was agreeing with you.
@@Brian-wp9er your comment made it seemed like you could use this phone if you have a phone that's at least 2yrs old. My point is that phones have gotten so good that you can get away using a 3yr old phone
How is this a garbage?
Bought S23 last week after huge discounts was offered. Not worth buying S24 when u r getting S23 fr mch less.
How much did you pay and which version did you buy?
@@andya.4612 i bought s23 256 GB version. Offline. 69999/- was selling price. 5K samsung upgrade as i had s21Fe apart frm that 5K off HDFC card. Total 59999/-. I exhanged my S21Fe fr 15k. I really hope they wont break the s23 via updates on purpose just like apple does..its such a nice phone
idt samsung or android does that.. only apple loll
Samsung said they'll support it for like five years
Every galaxy I have ever had has never broken just because a new phone has come out. My galaxy s20 which I've had for 4 years still worked amazingly up until I dropped it for the 100th time and the charging port broke. This was totally my fault. Was so sad to have to get a new phone because it was still such an amazing phone.
It's crazy to me how much they've managed to narrow those bezzels on the s24...
S23 better cuz use snapdragon.
I think one of the biggest points to make is 7 years of os support. That is insane. That's so good there's no reason for me to buy the s23 over the s24, even though its cheaper, because it'll last literally twice as long
@@AB-yp7nc there are 3rd party warranties. Plus my s10 plus is still running strong with a good case and I'm not particularly kind to it. Short of helpless mechanical failure, I'll probably be fine.
Well I just upgraded from a s9plus to the s24plus and my lady has the s24 ultra so I'm diggin it 😎 🤙 it would last me another 7 to 8 years
for me, the design didnt change too much but is more pretty now in the details. the sides remember me iphone and i really like the iphone's side (sorry grammatical erros, english is not my first idiom)
I have the s23 plus I've had it for a few months now I love it. I have the lavender one 😁💜
Lavender is my favorite one I hope they bring it back for the s25 or s26
Great summary!
Not too sure if there is any point upgrading from s23 to s24
keeping mine 5 years
Never upgrade ur phone after 1 year better to wait 4-5 years

@@jonathanbenoit-mj9cv but do people really need a new phone to do the exact same thing on them?
I have a S22 but im contemplating upgrading
I have s22, I'm def upgrading.
@@Bleek904 I think I might. What are some reasons u think it's worth upgrading?
@yungcee321 I'm going off the design, and Battery life on the s22 sucks. I fell in love with the s23 camera software, so I know the s24 better. I wish it had the QHD, but I have the S9 tablet + for all that. I'm a fan of packing Heavy Artillery in a small phone. The only reason i thought about the S24+ is for the QHD but i don't want the 6.7 screen 😕.
Same here... battery life on s22 is horrible!
I have s21 and am still not sure whether I should upgrade or not. Cause my s21 works just fine. It has no lag, and battery life is good enough to last all day. Last year, I watched a couple of s21 vs s23 comparisons and came to the conclusion that it's not worth upgrading and decided to wait another year. Now that s24 came out, for me, there is literally no difference between it and s23, given that AI software will come to the latter pretty soon. Also, in my country, I can get s23 roughly 1.5 times cheaper than s24. So now I have to decide between buying s23 now or waiting another year for s25, and neither of these options seems ideal.
No Snapdragon variant in the future??
S23 is the better choice in places that have exynos s24. There are literal tests showing snapdragon s23 being better than exynos s24 in terms of power and efficiency. S23 is snapdragon exclusive
I saw some gameplays on s23 + exynos 2400.. It performs well actually .
Not better why do you thing they increased the vap chamber on s24, because snapdragon gen 3 and 2400 get heat more than snapdragon gen 2
Watching this on s23 ... even this has got AI features now... this makes upgrade even less important
Upgraded from my Honor 8X (bought in 2019) to the Galaxy S24 (quite an upgrade hehe :P). Planning to stick to it for longer than my 8X.
Time to get that green s23 plus, and stick with it until its support dies
can the sound be any more soft
I got the S23 FE for $180 unlocked and paid off I love this phone on Straight talk will keep this phone for a while
S23 is the best phone since the S10 line up
If you buy a flagship phone ..you are rich anyways... You can buy new one every year anyways...
Its the one who can't afford think about using for 3 years 😂
Meu caso😅na verdade não vejo necessidade de ficar neste frenesim
Where to get that yellow green wallpaper on the s24 plus?!!
I wish the back of the phone was curved like the S21
I have s23 and my s23's bezels aren't as significant as yours in this video. Strange
Went from a S10 to a S24 recently. Lasted me years without any issues. Samsungs are amazing phones if u take care of them.
A vast majority of the AI features in the S24 series are straight from Google.
Where i cab get that s23 wallpaper u used
Sorry, are the cameras exactly the same size? I need to buy some camera protectors but can't find them foe the s24
Im s24 user now and bezel is crazy. so this phone is nice with case. iPhone thick bezel may be telling us that dont use case 😅

I used the S21 Plus for 2 years until I upgraded the S24 Plus last week. The reason I upgraded was due to storage. My S21 Plus was the 128 storage. With my S24 Plus Cobalt Voliet, it's 512 storage.
S24 great phone with 7 years updates🤗
I have the Exynos version and have nothing to complain (I'm not a gamer). Battery life is excellent and the phone is superfast. Ai functions are great and very useful 👌

How do I turn off my galaxy s24
how can i get that clock for s23?

Is that marble gray color?
Welp. I was waiting for actual battery life update

The design is same as the cheaper ones ,such as a54 s23 fe😅
Upgrading from s21 fe (exynos). Which one is better, 23 or 24?
Is it worth upgrading from S21 5G?
A big setback to choose Exynos 2400 for international market.
i dont get why people say the refresh rate on s24 goes from 1-120hz, it actually goes from 24-120hz
Watching on s23 ❤❤❤
Only reason i wanted to shift from s22 to s24 was for battery but this Exynos in india has changed my mind. Seems like i gotta wait for another year 🌝

Whats with the people who have s23 hating? You DON'T have to buy it you not buying it wont damage Samsung in anyway as long as your phone is working and has no problems at all dont update.. i had the Tcl 30 xe and upgraded to a s24.. all im saying is sont buy the s24 if u don't really need it
Just upgraded to an s24+ from an s10🗣🗣
24's frame is flat while 23 is curved.
The S24 is an incredible phone, and so is the S23. There is definitely no need to upgrade one generation, but also nothing wrong with upgrading if you really want. Also, now is a great time to upgrade from a few generations ago to an S23 Ultra, because of the price drops. There will be no disappointment, I'm certain! I still love my S23 Ultra and won't upgrade for at least another 6-12 months.
6.2 screen of s24 without increase in size? Please check your facts since the s24 is a smidgen taller
Thanx! But where can I buy oder get this amazing yellow palm Wallpaper? I want this...! :D
Ha, this was on Samsung's demo unit in the hands-on session so I assume it's part of the preinstalled collection.
I have a S21 Ultra for almost 3 years. I'll probably keep it more 2 years minimum before upgrading
I have the S22 right now and planning to upgrade. Ima wait on S25 and assess the difference then.
Samsung's design was heavily inspired by iPhone and Xperia. Their signature design was the old S-S5 series haha.
Upgraded to the exynos s24 from a redmi note 11 and I'm so satisfied
it's worth to mention that some AI features will remain free only until 2025
wait,, the s23's edge frame was already peel off?? omg😭😭 i wanna buy the s23 but i hate it when peeling off
The flat edges bum me out, personally. I came over to Samsung after wanting to replace my iPhone 7. I went into Apple to get an upgrade and when choosing a phone I thought they felt really uncomfortable to hold compared to my 7, as well as a bit underwhelming as an upgrade. I went into a store with lots of different brands and just thought immediately that the Samsung (S21 being the new model at the time) felt much nicer to hold and the refresh rate felt nice. The display not having that ugly "notch" along the top edge sealed the deal.
Ultimately they all do the exact same things, so the rivalry has never made sense to me. If phones are moving over to having so many corners though that is a shame to me
you forgot to mention the 7 year update..
No quad hd display and no 12gig
i like the flat design but i dont like the exynos chipset😢
What should I upgrade to, the s23 or the s24?
I still have the S21. I'll probably keep it until it breaks.
Bought a s24 yesterday, exynos, for £450, upgrading from an s20plus, couldn't leave that deal slip tbh as my battery is starting to fail..
And you dont have that much difference that justifies the investment yet. The AI features will be available on S23 via update.
I still have the S7 and honestly love it. Now I can't decide if I should upgrade to S23 or S24.
It seems like there are some downsides on both sides and it doesn't help with my indecisiveness 😅🙈
Stop renewing phones annually.
I love my S23 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
No complaints here. Bringing out the S24 made the S23 price drop a bit. Yay!
Good video.
Watching this from my S22
I changed this year from an iPhone 11 to an S23. I would've picked the S24 because it's just so good. My only problem was the Exynos processor that can overheat easier and more, which is a no-go for me, really sad. I love the design of the S24. Otherwise, shame Samsung went back to Exynos.
Well, I've had my s23 for a year and a half. It has no cracks or anything like that. It completely shut off and wasn't working. Keeps freezing with different screens as well.
iPhone user here. May be switching it up and grabbing this bad boy up. I love the boxy shape phones but can’t wait to get my hands on this. I’ll still be using my 15 Pro but have this for my work phone!
s24 trying to be iphone so hard
And we clown on apple for not changing their design
With Exynos 2400 there's a major missing piece in the puzzle. There's a big question mark on its long term efficiency. Long term battery life. Long term performance. Just for that reason S24 is a big time upset.
