When this came on in the club we lost our minds over here in England it's big at funerals and weddings and always brings us together even the feuding uncles😂 bring back the old way of spinning

so this was filmed in NY however if you ask a Bostonian over a certain age, we till a person will claim this song as ours lol. this is a hell of a hype song.
We had so much fun in the clubs when they played this every body white black pink …I don’t care this was amazing….every club played this it’s fun back then no one got shot….just party together
This song was HUGE back in the day... And most famously known for being in the movie "Mrs Doubtfire", with Robin Williams.. the first scene with his sons birthday party, this is playing! ❤❤❤🎵🎶👊🥰 Watch it, if you've never seen that movie. This song always gives me goosebumps, even after all these years! 👍❤️ Great reaction sir 😍 Btw, I'm 53
A weird fact about House of Pain nobody can really explain. To the best of my knowledge nobody ever gave them shit for being "white" rappers in the 90's when there basically were none, this was long before Eminem.
Gen Xers didn’t give a shite about white and black. It was what you had to say and what you brought to the table. We all agreed with what MLK spoke of. Character not colour of skin. Race relations were good.
Like the 80's music everything was about having a good time.. Nirvana came out everything was about depression.. called the 90's music to slit your wrist too. this was a refreshing song.. JUMP AROUND
what you say at 2:50 is spot on- this was my era - there's nothing like old school - there's only a few recent shit that's even worth listening to in todays rap- check who's the man by these guys- was the soundtrack to a super popular movie that had every rapper on earth in it waaay back in the day- these guys weren't a one hit wonder
One of my fav memories was a few years ago working at a bbq joint in a small tourist town during Mountains, Music and Motorcycles event. A tall, tatted bearded biker type was in line and this songs intro was his ring tone. He didn't answer his phone but muted it and i couldn't help myself, i started busting out lyrics. 😂 we had bikers, teens and a bunch of elderly folk music types yet the whole place started jumping. (Im a 5'2, blonde southern gal, biker was tall and HUGE) And i know every word and have for 20 years. It was a good day ❤🏍 🎶
I love watching this. The 90s had so much good music. Every genre came with a style. I'm always down for watching people listen to these songs. Even if it's not for the first time. Brings me back to when i was first hearing this stuff. It was all new. Nobody sounded like the besties, or cypress, or de la soul, krs one, tribe called quest... Any of them. The first time we heard all of those groups, was the first time anyone heard that kind of music. Same with rock, metal, alternative.. whatever. It was a very creative time. Well worth digging into. And we love taking the trip.
Here's two great videos to do reactions to ... The first is Jelly Roll's "Can't Go Home". He is with Struggle Jennings in it. Serious banger. ... the title on youtube is: "Jelly Roll & Struggle Jennings Can’t Go Home” - Official Music Video" The other is Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise" from 1995 ... the title of the video on youtube is: Coolio - Gangsta's Paradise (feat. L.V.) [Official Music Video]
hey man check out..put your head out ..house of pain..dig into it a little cypress hill and house of pain were doing lots of shit together look into it cause iy was fuckin great in the 90's
Haha, this whole song is about fighting.. "i came to get down" and "jump around." If you were about to scrap in the 90s thats what you said to kick it off.
@@CustmBug Not about murder? He says: "I shoot to kill... I'm coming to get you, spitting out lyrics, homie I'll WET you!" That's threatening someone with murder, my friend. The Irish mob connection is just inferred from the video. You're probably right about that part being nothing
@ he’s rapping about his rapping skills. .when I shoot the gift, I shoot to kill”. Shoot the gift is a reference to the gift of gab. For a rapper the gift is there ability to rap. Spitting out…lyrics. Yes’m the gift if rapping, not killing. Then let’s look at the more of the lyrics. I got more rhymes than the Bible’s got psalms. You think that is talking about killing too? I think you want it to be about Irish gangs in Boston, but that’s only in your head not in reality.
@@CustmBug The Bible is chock full of killings, murder, and genocide. Besides, I just said it's probably NOT about being Irish and then you go ahead and mention the gift of gab. Which is a direct reference to the Blarney Stone. So is the song flavored Irish or not? Are the lyrics violently mad-dogging his nemesis or not? I mean it's no big whoop to me, either way, but... What exactly are we arguing about? Evidence or interpretation?
@ The Bible is chock-full of killings? That’s your stance now that you conveniently left out some lyrics to try to prove your point? And I never said the song wasn’t or the band wasn’t Irish, I said it wasn’t about Irish gangs in Boston as you claimed. What the hell does Boston have to do with any of this? Can you explain that or are you just pulling more shit out of your ass?
This rap came out May 1992. I remember because my birthday may18th. At my birthday party, the Saturday after my birthday. We played it, that was the first time I saw my parents dance and jump around. At every party, this rap played at least 50 times. At parties, guys love watching all the girls' tities jumping when they all jump to this song. Y'all, only girls would dance and guys watch the jumping tities..
you have no idea how quick this packed the dancefloor back in the day....every time...and still will.
lol, that's for real, club banger bacc in the day
i was a bouncer in Boston in the 90s, when this song came on, i was soon breaking up fights lol

LOL. "Not everything has to be about murder" then the song continues...whoops. This was a banger back in the day though. Still is.
I grew up on this and it still hits 🤘😝

This track made the club bump back then. Crazy.
this one of those songs that was remove from jukebox at a Bar i use to hang at ... alcohol + this song = damage 😂😂
Bouncing in nightclubs in the 90s, i can say we always asked the DJs to not play this song because the place went nuts, every single time.
This song will always be a hype song ❤

What’s up Ireland 🥳
Do alittle research on the Irish history..
Fkn interesting..
You played this song or Hypnotized by Biggie in the clubs in the 90s, no room and I mean no room on the dance floor

HOP and others were what they are. Irish South Boston are the best but are wild as they come. Nobody is faster to go ahead and git at it.
Irish South Boston?
Haha, this whole song is about fighting.. "i came to get down" and "jump around." If you were about to scrap in the 90s thats what you said to kick it off.
Bust it ;)
not sure if i agree.. these lyrics are way harder than alot of the last decade of "rap" who only talks about designer clothes and drugs..
John McEnroe? Young heads have no idea who he is.
Bro the crap that's on the radio today is GARBAGE compared to this song!!!
tailor vs .. plaentary
Yeah, but.. This song IS about murder. Irish gangs in Boston as opposed to Black gangs in Los Angeles, but still...
The song isn’t about murder and has nothing to do with Irish gangs in Boston.
