Joe Rogan had him on his podcast, where he talked about how this track had been played at more sporting events than any other song ever and how he still gets paid for it
I worked in a nightclub in the early & mid 00's. If this song came on it unofficially meant that ALL service stopped. Mostly cause 90% of people just went to start dancing & jumping around as soon as it started. But also all the staff would join in. So you'd see 5 or 6 bars with all the staff leaping about like loons. Fethin Brilliant times & no one ever complained that they couldn't get a drink
When Steve Winwood came to America to perform.. the audience was shocked he is white..! after hearing him on the radio. Spencer Davis Group! Check it out
I just LOVE when younger people learn/realize that white people were just as big in rap/hip hop back in the day! If your young.. you only think Eminem.. Not knowing white people in rap/hip hop was a thing since the 80's and early 90's.. especially people like BEASTIE BOYS! Eminem is NOT the first... just the first to perfect it! lol
The members,Everlast had a good solo career and founded the hip hop supergroup La Coka Nostra along with DJ Lethal and Danny Boy O’Conner,DJ Lethal went onto the band Limp Bizkit and Danny Boy O’Conner bought the house from the movie The Outsiders and runs as a museum now
As many Larry Bird videos that you've watched, you didn't notice the lead singer was wearing a Larry Bird jersey? The album this song was on came out the same year Larry Bird retired.
I'll be honest, only noticed the jersey because I was half watching, didn't notice the 33. I feel ashamed of myself. The only time I ever really watched Basketball and cared was the Bird/Parish/McHale era. (dear god I hope nobody saw this before the edit) Thanks for the information on that being the year he retired. I know the song well and never would have known that. :)
This song is thirty years old even long before eminems time they were the white OGs of rap they are from Boston that’s why you saw Celtic symbols and pipe bands
I was in high school when this came out- imagine going to a huge house party .. jam packed.. this song comes on and the whole party starts jumping around at the chorus, arms up in the air ! I cannot tell you how big this song was- I loved it then.. love it now! Great reaction!
@@debbymccormick7761You and were partially right. Everlast and Danny Boy were both born in New York but moved to California. This song came out before the internet and somehow my childhood friends and I thought they were from Hells Kitchen in Manhattan. Maybe it was filmed in the bars in Hells Kitchen and that led to what we were told. Separately my cousin Debbie’s mother was a McCormick from Brooklyn. Funny coincidence.
And being Irish heritage, it's pretty sweet to have these guys in the rap game, so much that Eminem himself gave shout outs to them during his acceptance speech ❤💯💛👏👊😘🥰 Thank you for your reaction. The way I see it, is music doesn't have a color or nationality, or Country, or religion, or genre... We all come together through music!!! ❤🎶🎶🥰 I think Marshall really broke down so many walls and this band too ❤
I'm loving watching Black People's reaction to finding out that House of Pain is White white You have been one of the funniest ones yet😅 even my Wife of 5 years almost just asked me (You mean this whole time they have been one of You White Guys?!) such a strange thing to hear from one spouse on the couch 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I just told her If this is his reaction now I can't wait until he sees KC and The Sunshine Band and watches Play That Funky Music White Boy yes the video is kind of scratchy because it's way back in the '70s that song came out but I can't wait to see your reaction on that one 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I was still in The Army when this song came out We would start singing it before jumping out of planes when the door came open at over 35,000 ft or more.! I'm 55 now And I think these guys are now older than me.?
if you're the best old school reactor you should do another song besides this one which of course everyone knows - they play it at every nba game- try who's the man by this same group or fed up- then you'll be the best old school reactor- because everyone on earth reacts to this

I feel like EVERYONE knows this song, you can be 19 today and know this song from the 90s. This song definitely has moved through the generations.
Yeah it’s really hard to believe he hasn’t heard it
NGL, 41 years old and just learned they were white. xD
I also used to be able to Karaoke this if I'd wanted to, which makes that fact extra sad. Haha
Side note: Found you on the Larry Bird vid, which was great. Might notice he's wearing a Celtics jersey. We crazy white boys up here. ;)
Joe Rogan had him on his podcast, where he talked about how this track had been played at more sporting events than any other song ever and how he still gets paid for it
Why does he get paid for it ???
@@kerry-j4mroyalties
She’s he wrote the lyrics. That’s 50% of the song. The man who made the beat gets the other 50%
Nope. AC/DC Thunderstruck is played more.
@@HammerJam007 LOL okay go take that up with Joe Rogan.
Sooo don't discount the Irish. They will go at you, especially if you are English
I subscribed off this reaction alone.

This song is thirty years old even long before eminems time they were the white OGs of rap they are from Boston that’s why you saw Celtic symbols and pipe bands
There not from Boston. They are from the west coast L.A.
You're very well-spoken for a teenager. You have a moustache. You must be about ready to graduate high school.

It's putting history behind life. A great way to think. Never stop seeking out and learning History.
Everlast also recorded as Whitey Ford-- you might recognize some of the tracks off of Whitey Ford Sings The Blues. Carlos Santana guested
Letssssss goooooooo
Everlast started as a rapper for Ice T and Rhyme Syndicate then did his own thing.
This gonna be good
Just to give everyone context, they are from an area in Manhattan which was historically really bad, thus the name. Hells Kitchen. Great name.
They weren't from New York I believe they were from California
Boston

This song was every where when it came out . I was living in California at the time and these boys were east coast
