I need to buy a car trailer then so I can transport 3 smalls at once. Plus you could buy the small car trailer and pull it with your pickup and make money that way and get to keep all the money
19:12 if you aint sure where each vehicles goes, u can just get in the vehicle and open the map, the destination will apear. Each vehicle type has their own delivery point. Ex: Trucks to Truck stop/mechanic etc
The gates take your vehicle weight, but they won't fine you if you go over the limit. Currently there's I think two weigh in motion stations that will fine you 3k if your vehicle is too heavy, but by the time you get into that weight range it's more like cost of doing business. Also for the ghosts I've learned that it's better to hit them with the corner of your vehicle instead of full on, so they bounce off to the side instead of potentially going under your vehicle.
A tip for when you do end up owning a truck is to rent trailers at the trailer store instead of buying. The 40ft container trailer costs 50K to buy, but is only 50 to rent per 10 minutes. This way you can haul different trailers when you feel like it.
I am playing with a controller and remapped most of the controls because the default layout isn't that great. Happy the game lets you do this, the rebinding menu is really good.
you're wrong atleast from my experience, we use heavy chains strung over the logs and tightened down with binders.. you're not allowed to legally haul anything in the US without it being strapped down
increase cruise control with the page up and page down keys, also i use manual mode with no assisted shifting.. this allows me to keep my engine cooler and get more out of each gear, this game is realistic in that when you're in a low gear you got more power but you spin easier, the button for interior lights is L
When you're controlling the Lomax trailer ramps, you're not locked into that stupid view, you can click and drag the screen (in first and third person) so you can see where the ramps are going 👍🏻🙂
Motortown appears to be outtrucksimming truck simulator 😅 The detail and the interactivity of the trucking job here makes ETS2 / ATS’s lack of innovation almost unforgivable at this point! Keep on truckin’ 😎
@KerboOnYT yeah it was something in that area, maxbe i even changed it to numpad.... I watched the next episode after the comment and saw you figured it out
That yellow flatbed trailer you had, If you buy one you can take it to a mod shop and put ramps on to make use of the upper deck, good series.
I saw that trailer mod on a Mr Bug video and it's a great idea. The car hauling looks like some good money and it's interesting. Thanks for watching!

Really wow, this game just keeps getting cooler
If you go to the Gosan truck on the west edge of the map you can "rent" trucks for much cheaper than owner share.
20:02 if you own the “Lomax” lowboy trailer, theres a ramp you can add on any mechanic, to load vehicles easier onto the top part

The ghosts are more of a problem for autopilot. I really wish you could turn them off. Thanks for watching!

I've just been spawning them in at various places around the map where they are available and using them for free.
it looks cool old graphics but looks fun
I don't mind the polygon style graphics when there's solid gameplay. The physics feels really good.

You were at 1% cargo damage right after you landed the truck, so it wasn’t your fault
I saw cabover and was hoping it was the freightliner from Terminator 2. Interesting series.
looks to be based off the flt64t
Love this game, makes me wish I had it heh
and yes there is weight check spots, its not like ATS where you have to stop but you will get fined 3k if your truck is overweighted
That's good to know! Is there any visual indicator for the location of these check spots?
@@KerboOnYT yeah they're big blue signs above the road, and blend in with road signs, they're hard to spot so dont feel bad if you hit one.
I may be wrong, but irl logs are not strapped, they stick to one another pretty good with just gravity

They have to be fastened, at least in Missouri. It's big chains though and not straps from what I've seen in person.
I am sure that trailer could have fitted at least 2 more logs (keeping the S.C.-meme going here, lol) 🙂Thanks for the video, and take care.

I had to use manual shifting in the next video. Things get a little crazy. Thanks for watching!

I discovered that later. Thanks!

You can change cruise speed with numpad something... 2,8?
Page up/down
