What surprised me the most watching Sinner's highlight videos in this tournament is just how MUCH he resembles Djokovic: sliding bh/fh, slapping return winners, neutralizing huge shots, etc. It's almost as if we are witnessing Djokovic's 2011 all over again.
It ain’t a cream, it’s a spray. I am 66, I live in Italy, I have this stuff as a default in my first aid box at home. And so other millions of fellow seniors here, for the simple reason that at my age, without this ointment (and the active principle in contains aka clostebol), any cut, abrasion, etc. would take ages to heal. Clostebol was used as doping stuff by the East Germany athletes back in the 60s and 70s. By the 80s was abandoned even by them since is a deeply ineffective and inefficient anabolic steroid . And it doesn’t give any immediate advantage (like say blood self transfusions), it will push the muscular mass if one starts to take quantities measured in grams for periods of months. In Jannik urines were found traces of the metabolite accounting for some (I believe 27) billionth of a gram. As Andy Roddik well said “if he (Sinner) really took that shite to enhance performance, he’d be not just number one in ATP ranking, but number one as the worst doper in history “

-- Consistently hitting to both corners (PERCENTAGE GAME) -- Randomly coming to the net (NET PLAY) ...would've increased Fritz's chances, but he unfortunately didn't have such skill set that only Sinner Alcaraz Novak possess right now -- THE NEW BIG3‼

Sinners a nice guy. Either he’s innocent or he doesn’t feel guilty because he knows they’re just levelling the playing field. There’s a very strong possibility that tennis is like cycling from a PED standpoint
It looked to me Sinner edged Fritz in the battle of long rally hitting where Fritz didn’t believe in his consistency he had to go for some shots to end the rallies but often missed them. This is the mental, not physical or technical, aspect of the game that imo he needs to improve.
Anyone who writes that Sinner is doped is essentially one of the following categories: either he is a hater of his, or a toxic fan of others, or a troll who only wants to provoke, or someone who speaks by hearsay without knowing the facts, the rules and the ITIA documents. The ruling of the independent tribunal, with the positive opinion of experts including WADA itself, says that "there is no fault or negligence on Sinner's part for the double positivity to Clostebol". Between the notification of the suspension in April and the ruling in August Sinner was able to play because he filed an urgent appeal bringing evidence of his innocence, an appeal that was accepted given the evidence in his favor, all those who complain of preferential treatment either did not file an appeal in time or did not have sufficient evidence to have it accepted. The mistake, in any case not his, still cost him 400 ATP points and more than 300 thousand dollars, the prizes of Indian Wells. This does not mean that he was at fault, but it is provided for by the rules when there is a positive even if it is not your fault and is independent of any disqualifications. The facts that demonstrate his innocence: - A billionth of Clostebol is equivalent to the tip of a teaspoon in an Olympic swimming pool, ridiculous to think that it is doping and not contamination. - All tests before and after Indian Wells are negative, Sinner has done more than 20 in the last year, in addition to the biological passport that proves nothing strange. - Clostebol was used by East German weight lifters in the 80s, since then many other better substances have been used for doping - There have been several cases identical to Sinner's due to Trofodermin, those in which there was neither fault nor negligence had the same outcome as Sinner (for example the one mentioned by many Bortolotti), the difference is that not being famous and not having enemies they did not create a stir. I know that like flat-earthers many will continue undaunted, fortunately they do not count for anything and will remain confined to some social media, I should say that I feel sorry for them but I would be lying.
You are absolute right, Sinner is the chosen one to take over tennis after the big 3, and he is on course to break all the big 3 records in the next 10+ years. He has no rivals and will cruise through the slams with little effort.
I'm also a big Sinner fan, but Carlos is going to take some slams for the next 10 years and someone else might come along (Fonseca, Mensik or others we don't know yet). He definitely has a chance to win as many slams as the big three, but he only has two so far so let's wait and see what happens.
Considering the rumour: In general the athletes are told they failed the drug test, and then not specifically which drug they tested for. In Jannik's case, his physio knew right away "ah yeah it be Clostebol", and because they knew - they could file against the preliminary suspension. This is my understanding. For reference, Tara Moore failed a drug test and she had no clue what it was, couldn't file against suspension, etc. Turns out... she ate contaminated meat... at an official ATP location... So it was completely out of her hands. She basically got shafted lol because she was in the dark and innocent at the same time. But yeah my understanding is that they just knew right away what the fail was for, and hence could set in motion the counter suspension.
I think he probably did because it has proved to be so polarising. I hope we can all move on soon too. It has now got to the ridiculous point where some people seem to hold him personally responsible for every other decision the ITIA ever made.
What if Sinner or someone in his camp is lying? I don't think he is or they are but it certainly is possible. It would be helpful if someone analyzed whether taking clostebol could be enticing to someone like Sinner. Steel man the 'he might have done it' argument.
If someone in the team is lying it would be because he has been corrupted to actually make Sinner fail. Sinner did only take damage from this since no doping can be achieved in tennis trough clostebol that need months if not years of application at any quantity to make a difference.
I believe in Sinner and that he didn’t dope. But, if he tests positive twice and gets almost no punishment, it would look really really bad. Basically, anyone from this point forward can use this same excuse and point to him so that they don’t get punished either. Testing negative >>>>> infinitely better than testing positive for any substance in the list. If this case stands, what’s the point of testing at all. Any positive result, no matter what the reason, needs at least 6 months ban or there is literally no point in this process. Sinner tested positive, it wasn’t his fault but it was his teams’ fault; ultimately, he still tested positive and should NOT be treated as if nothing happened, which is how it is currently handled
Johaug got 2 year suspension but her case was a bit different. She really used the lip balm albeit she did not know it contained clostebol. The national team doctor bought the cream himself. He also assured her that it's not part of WADA-prohibited drugs. He resigned though but of course, Johaug has to suffer the consequences. It was believed that she received the cream with full packaging that had a doping warning in it.
Actually, WADA got a 3 week extention because it was not happy with the 50 document ITIA gave on the ruling. So it asked for further documentation allowing itself till end of september to decide.
why I don't like Fritz as a person, although I respect him as tennis player is the same reason why I don't like Zverev. They are both arrogant, self-imposing personalities. something in the lines of - I'm too good to be loosing, and I'm better then you, so that's why I should be winning. There is a thin line between being self-confident and being arrogant. Jannik and Carlos never crossed this line as of yet, Zverev and Taylor..., oh boy.
It's interesting because I completely agree about Zverev, but I don't see it with Taylor (yet). Tsitsipas and Kyrgios also fall in this group in my opinion. They're acting like they should be winning more while the other players are just better than them and have actually corrected their weaknesses, it makes it feel like they're entitled.
is the fact that the lab is in Montreal and quote "in Montreal Canada bunch of French speakers over there" relevant? From an American with French Canadian heritage who happens to speak French.
I had to read this a few times because I thought you were talking about me!! I’m American with French Canadian grandmother. I hear the great grandmother on that side only spoke French !!
Fritz always shows a little too much disappointment in his losses, most of the time noticed in his press conferences. But that’s OK if he takes losses seriously and works hard to get better, which I think he did.
Well whether Sinner is innocent or guilty, nobody knows for sure. But the incontrovertible fact is that he was treated with kid gloves compared to other players under similar circumstances. That is totally unjust and unfair. He should have been at least placed under interim suspension till completion of investigation and tribunal verdict. But instead he was given a free pass and how anybody can deny it. 😂😂😂 And the whole episode was under wraps for over 5 months making it even more murky. Sinner's skipping of Olympics on the flimsy premise of Tonsils only accentuated the whole opacity about it. Even that stripping off 400 points became a farce as Novak would have become No 1 for two more weeks in such a scenario.
That's not true. A tennis player ranked 350 in the world, who had the same problem as Sinner, was treated in exactly the same way. He was innocent and did not serve a single day of disqualification. Do you want to understand that the cases of Halep and Sharapova are different?
Tennis needs new fans. Nick Kyrgios and Novaxx Dkovid are awful. Will be interesting to see how many Serbians leave the sport - Matt you will have to let us know about the stats ❤ and if you consider Serbs as real tennis fans when they leave the sport
Matt, with all respect, even the guys you play at your local tourneys are likely to be on something. Doping is part of every sports, from professionnals to amateurs. I don't blame the athletes, it is a requirement for them. That being said, Sinner and his team are real donkeys for being caught, in an environment where nobody wants to catch you.
What I know is that he got caught, his results were canceled, his atp points and prize money stripped away from him. The ITIA and tennis instances tried to minimize and cover the story, which backfired terribly and ended in PR disaster. That's the facts. Embarrassing to say the least. What I also know (judging by your litteracy down below) is that you will get trolled forever with this story. Enjoy!
@@dejavu5838 The only trolls, together with haters and "superficial" people, are those who make accusations without knowing the facts, fortunately your opinions don't count for anything.

Matt, Fritz is extremely soft. Look at him! There is no way he is putting the endurance/gym work required to be a world class tennis player. No muscle definition anywhere. Even Janik is starting to look more defined and he started out as a twig. I feel like he has coasted on his serve and reach and now it's showing. No way he will ever be great.
@@deelak2329 He didn't fail anything because he's done nothing wrong. If you're at work and your colleagues accidentally stick a company belonging into your pocket would you call yourself a cheater or responsabile? Would you be happy to lose the job and everybody to cast doubts on your integrity.? What goes around comes around. Think twice before wishing an innocent to be attacked in any way. This can happen to everyone and it's a disgrace for Sinner which he didn't deserve.
Two doping tests done 8 days apart, not months, no one talks about the other 20 done in the last 12 months, all negative, in addition to the completely regular biological passport, when you stop it will always be too late
How many excuses for Sinner, this is unbelievable. As far as I remember, tennis players who missed doping tests were suspended for a year or more. Troicki, for example, received a 16-month suspension because he couldn't give blood for a test, not because of the presence of any substance. If something similar were found with Medvedev or Djokovic, they would probably be publicly lynched and suspended for at least 5 years. Double standards as always...
It is a million Dollar Business!!! Keep dreaming no one is cheating in tennis! All who believe somoeone is innocent just because he appears a nice guy,,,keep gatekeeping
You are obviously a no-brainer hater. Look , Sinner is as honest as a tennis player could ever be and in any case, you can never win in tennis through doping. You can if you run 100 meters at the Olympics. To be winning in tennis you need talent which doesn't come with dooing.
Twice like in two samples taken one week apart (and after that nothing, in other countless samples taken). Clostebol takes over 15 days to fully metabolize, make the math. And to gain any advantage (enhancement of performance) he should have taken a million times the quantity found for over 6 months.

But yeah my understanding is that they just knew right away what the fail was for, and hence could set in motion the counter suspension.
Come back to talk about how Djokovic is continuing to save the big 3's name.
The drug theme was way too long. Absolutely unlike Matt spending so much time on such a boring topic.
I think he probably did because it has proved to be so polarising. I hope we can all move on soon too. It has now got to the ridiculous point where some people seem to hold him personally responsible for every other decision the ITIA ever made.
Where's my 2025 AO Coffee Break Tennis coverage!? 😡
One more question - where did you read the rumors that the ATP tipped him off? Would love to read that
As often we watched Djoker taking those magic potions……
Johaug got 2 year suspension but her case was a bit different. She really used the lip balm albeit she did not know it contained clostebol. The national team doctor bought the cream himself. He also assured her that it's not part of WADA-prohibited drugs. He resigned though but of course, Johaug has to suffer the consequences. It was believed that she received the cream with full packaging that had a doping warning in it.
Wada did NOT appeal, sorry haters
He is too good to be loosing that's why he plays tennis. Though, after tennis he may loose some arrows.
Great analysis…JS dossage missing
is the fact that the lab is in Montreal and quote "in Montreal Canada bunch of French speakers over there" relevant? From an American with French Canadian heritage who happens to speak French.
I had to read this a few times because I thought you were talking about me!! I’m American with French Canadian grandmother. I hear the great grandmother on that side only spoke French !!
my Father was French Canadian, my mother was first generation American, her parents came from Canada. We spoke French at home. So howdy--et bonjour--
Thank God that PavvyG the joke might leave tennis with his stupid banner with Jelena the equally silly wife 😂
Fritz always shows a little too much disappointment in his losses, most of the time noticed in his press conferences. But that’s OK if he takes losses seriously and works hard to get better, which I think he did.
Doping SINNER! 😢
Love the analysis but taking shots over a dude’s expression after he loses a title match is low
And the whole episode was under wraps for over 5 months making it even more murky.
Likely scenario was that physio tried to heal a blister or some type of cut Sinner had, fast with that cream or spray...
Likely scenario you are such an hater.
There would have been Andy instead of Andre if Taylor had won.
Is that the deal?
“A little disrespect to Taylor Fritz”… she knows she will not see Taylor there again….
Tennis needs new fans. Nick Kyrgios and Novaxx Dkovid are awful. Will be interesting to see how many Serbians leave the sport - Matt you will have to let us know about the stats ❤ and if you consider Serbs as real tennis fans when they leave the sport
The Young 2
Matt, with all respect, even the guys you play at your local tourneys are likely to be on something. Doping is part of every sports, from professionnals to amateurs. I don't blame the athletes, it is a requirement for them. That being said, Sinner and his team are real donkeys for being caught, in an environment where nobody wants to catch you.
You don't know the facts, the rules, the ITIA documents, you know nothing
What I know is that he got caught, his results were canceled, his atp points and prize money stripped away from him. The ITIA and tennis instances tried to minimize and cover the story, which backfired terribly and ended in PR disaster. That's the facts. Embarrassing to say the least.
What I also know (judging by your litteracy down below) is that you will get trolled forever with this story. Enjoy!
@@dejavu5838 The only trolls, together with haters and "superficial" people, are those who make accusations without knowing the facts, fortunately your opinions don't count for anything.
@@dejavu5838 So not only are you uninformed, if you say you read my notes that I wrote in the comments and you repeat the same nonsense it means that there are serious problems of understanding.
Ugh, this turned into a Sinner apologist video. No thanks. 🙄
I appreciated it
Dopers man dopers
Haters man haters.
‘Sinner’s team’ does that include his thrown under the bus massage therapist LOL

Wasn't Darren Cahill Simona Halep's coach? 🤔
jk apropos of nothing, IMO
PM, Haleps coach, admitted to have given him supplements - DO RESEARCH THEN WRITE
Oh I’m sure sinners coach will explain very thoroughly. They’ve had 4 months to think up the script for the damage control!
Sinner is boring as fuck, no thanks
Nobody cares about you.
Call me crazy, but I just don't trust a guy who failed 2 doping tests
You have to trust justice…we are living in democracy not in the middle age
Call me crazy but I just don't trust you, hater.
@@FabioSangiorgi-vu5eg I didnt fail two doping tests
Doper wins, tainted legacy
frustrated
How many excuses for Sinner, this is unbelievable. As far as I remember, tennis players who missed doping tests were suspended for a year or more. Troicki, for example, received a 16-month suspension because he couldn't give blood for a test, not because of the presence of any substance. If something similar were found with Medvedev or Djokovic, they would probably be publicly lynched and suspended for at least 5 years. Double standards as always...
So, dodging doping tests 2 or 3 times in a row is ok for you? 😂😂😂 Why would anyone do it? I can only think.of a reason.
Djokovic and Medvedev would probably have been treated in the same way lol.
You are obviously a no-brainer. Back off hater.

The moral of this tennis story is: Sinners, not saints, win Grand Slams... Hey, pass me some of that "massage cream."
I see you got all the facts right. 😂
It is a million Dollar Business!!! Keep dreaming no one is cheating in tennis! All who believe somoeone is innocent just because he appears a nice guy,,,keep gatekeeping
Okay so then everyone is cheating.
You are obviously a no-brainer hater.
Look , Sinner is as honest as a tennis player could ever be and in any case, you can never win in tennis through doping. You can
if you run 100 meters at the Olympics. To be winning in tennis you need talent which doesn't come with dooing.
Accidently by fizio but twice??
Twice like in two samples taken one week apart (and after that nothing, in other countless samples taken). Clostebol takes over 15 days to fully metabolize, make the math. And to gain any advantage (enhancement of performance) he should have taken a million times the quantity found for over 6 months.
People have too many opinions but very little useful information to validate them.
You obviously don't know anything about doping. Refrain from cluttering chats.
Cheaters don't have a guilty conscience, nor do you have to be a psychopath.
You don't have a moral compass if you don't feel guilty after cheating. Sinner seems to not be that way.
Sore loosers haters don't have a guilty conscience.
