I bought these headphones just before christmas. Man they are beautiful - lovely design. And great build. I have left them running for days now for burn in. I can really hear a difference in the sound after 75+ hours of playing. They are really starting to come alive. The sound was good out of the box. Maybe a bit muffled sound. That is all gone now. The sound is amazing. Clear, distinct, pretty open sound with great punch in the base. Out of the box I thought the base took over and overshadowed the vocals, but that's all gone now. These headphones really need a good burn in period. I'm looking forward to hear what they bring after 200+ hours of burn in. I've tried them hooked up to my Macbook Pro 14 inch and they sound good but when hooked up to a headphone amp - my god - night and day. You really need a headphone amp to make these headphones justice. Silk Sonic is a great album for showing off the 7200. I'm using the Bluesound Node paired with the Pro-Ject Head Box S2 headphone amp. I'm a happy customer. 545 dollars/518€ including tax in Sweden.
I do have this headphone for about 6 month and I can only agree. They are fantastic! Never heard the 9200. They probably sound different but better? I use a Questyle amp and this combination delivers an addictive sound. Besides they are very comfortable, you can listen for hours and hours and so on discover your music again. Hidden details that open up, it’s magical!
hey man, can I just ask a question, what’s the deal with the high price? usually premium headphones like bose & stuff retail around £300, I only want them to listen to my apple music, do these have more purposes?
Also, would you rate these competitive compared to some similarly prices open backs? Say isolation was not a factor, would you consider these over say, an LCD 2? Thanks for the video, greetings from the beautiful Southern tip of Africa.

They sound good @@TheCurtisdavies
Kia ora. In the context of their respective price points would you say this is as good value or better than the Ah-9200?
How is the mid bass for kick drums and bass guitar?
I have both too, ah-d7200 and t1 mk3, which is you favorite?
