- On 16 June 2019 my husband and I were involved in a horrific car accident that left us severely injured. After a week in hospital, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away. I then became a widow at the age of 28. In this episode, on the 1-year anniversary of his death, I share my grief and healing journey.

My husband died suddenly Christmas week 2016. He was sitting in his chair on dialysis. He was a beautiful soul and my best friend for 35 years. I’m thankful that God allowed him to be apart of my life. It was worth the pain. I miss you Gary. One day I will see you again.

Thanks for sharing your story. I lost my husband December 1st 2019 at age 28 after a year of marriage. I was 4 months pregnant at the time. My world almost crashed, what kept me going was the baby growing in me. I knew I had to be strong for the baby. He was a loving man, he looked forward to fatherhood. Two weeks after he passed, I had a scan and I got to know we were expecting 2 girls. I remember how the tears rolled down my face as I laid on the bed in my doctor's office that day. All I kept thinking was how much he prayed to have twins (girls) and we are getting that. Only he is no more here. 4th of May 2020, our girls arrived. These girls mean the world to me. It is my prayer that God continue to be our strength.

I lost my baby boy 3 years ago and I’ve always struggled to tell the story. The healing journey has been a roller coaster. This passed weekend was his birthday and I tried my best to find everything in me to sing a song I wrote for him. May God continue healing our hearts. ❤️

Your story really touched me. I lost my husband just over two months ago on 21/06/2020 so this is still very raw for me. My husband was shot and killed whilst trying to save a dispute at a gathering. I am now a 36 year young widow left with 3 beautiful children aged 2, 8 and 11. To this day, I dont know how i am still standing. My husband was my rock, my soulmate my everything! I was 29 when I lost my husband. He passed away while I was taking him to the hospital. My daughter had just turned 3 years. It's been 7 years now. The pain is still there and I miss him very much too much. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him. What has helped me is I totally relay on God on everything. He has helped me through the pain. I am still single raising my daughter but I am at peace. God has been Faithful 🙏

Hugs gal,I lost my husband in 2017 at the same age as you and it was like a dream because we talked and then later the phone was off only to find out he got involved in accident and died instant and believe me the pain was like I want to die too because the things that followed until today I accepted that he is no more so I can raise our two beautiful children...and praying to God to give me strength and to make our paths easy

I am balling my eyes out as I watch this as you have just taken me back to when I lost my husband at the age of 26 in a car accident , we were also travelling together and he swived the car to protect me from the other car hitting my side as he was driving and I was sleeping next to him , he died in my arms when the paramedics arrived , I know the darkness the pain to speak about , the wanting to breathe life into him OMG sis , no person should have to deal with that , it’s been 12 year I live with it everyday , but God has blessed me with a partner who understands me and allows me to have moments and hold me throughout without any feelings of jealousy or anything but understanding that the accident is part of my life , even when I wake up screaming cause I just woken up from a dream where I relieve that day , it a long journey you are about to partake in it’s not easy nor fun but it’s walkable with Gods grace and the family love . I know how you feel💔 last year I was in a car accident 26 may 2019 with my boyfriend he passed away on the accident scene my son was only 4 months And I was 23 years I was also asleep when the Accident happens but one thing I did I forgave my self yes I’m still in the process of healing but healing becomes better and better just keep on praying and thank God for giving you a second chance of life

Its one of the toughest thing to lose a partner bcoz of the bond that exists .I lost my dear wife in 2014 , left behind 2 kids very young in age .It wasn't an easy journey that's when I released how important women are in our lives as men . my mum went through the exact same thing 20 years ago. She lost my dad when she was 28 . It was just me and her left. I was 3 years old. He just died mysteriously. Fast forward 20 years later, she is doing well and I’m now 23. My message to you my dear sister is that it is well. God will heal your broken heart. I became a widow at 26 after only 2 years of marriage my husband was shot and killed by gunmen. It was a shooting between gangs and he was in the vicinity. I remember begging him to stay home there was things to do cause I wasn't feeling well. But I said he wouldn't be long just going to kick some ball. Less than half an hour he had left I heard gunshots. My life as never been the same. He was a good husband.

As I listened to your story, I totally related to mine. I had just turned 30 when I lost my husband. A mother of a 2 year old son then and 9 months pregnant too when he died. My daughter was born 5 days later after losing him. I feel your pain as I know that type of pain you are going through. And even though It's been 16 years now, it's still fresh..My kids have been my strength that every time I look at them, i tell myself to be strong, better, work hard and provide for them to be better because i know that's what my husband would have done if he was around. My husband passed away January 23, 2022 leaving me with our 3 year old son and 3 month (at the time) now 6 month old daughter.
