Back in Spring 1995 (when this remix came out), Frankie was doing Sound Factory Bar with David Morales (their first joint gig together), and I went to see him, even though I knew it was gonna be a MADHOUSE, because he was hitting his peak as a remixer / producer then, doing Michael Jackson, Karyn White (with the criminally underrated mix of 'Hungah'), Joi Cardwell, etc... EVERYONE was there... He was doing overseas gigs, and he flew back from Japan to do SFB; his limo at the time broke down, and he was sent an emergency limo to EXCLUSIVELY take him to SFB, because he was REAL late! I was waiting in line to get in at SFB that night, when a white limo pulls up, and I KNEW that had to be Frankie, so I went up to it (with my CD singles / CD's of Frankie's remixes), for his autographs... He told me he was FRAZZLED, because of the late start (AND he was by Himself), so he said he would sign EVERYTHING if I would help him bring his records into SFB (which almost got LOST at customs!!), into the Club! OF COURSE, I jumped up, and helped with his six MILKCRATES (...a REAL DJ!), got into the Club FOR FREE, and he signed ALL my CD's, Lisa Stansfield's 'Change', 'Welcome To The Real...', 'It's Hard Sometime', Karyn's 'Hungah', and, many others, but 'THIS TIME' (Chante's), is the closest to my Heart, and I will NEVER FORGET that moment.....which I almost DID!! P.S., he also told me (at that time) his current favorite mix was "I Want U (M&M Mix)" from Rosie Gaines, which he PLAYED for me, at Sound Factory Bar!! THANK YOU FRANKIE, for EVERYTHING!! (RIP)

When she breaks into the chorus, the song just soars with Terry Burrus on that classic piano backing. I would love for her to perform this live on tv as a tribute to Frankie Knuckles along with Sounds of Blackness performing "The Pressure" remix. I think this would be a fitting tribute to him.
