You are young, and I think you are at that age where being liked is important, but as you get older with more life experiences, that will not matter. Don't be afraid, you are missing out on people who will accept you. You will know then that they like you for who you are. Girls you are both beautiful
Do not compete with our younger sister, you don't need to put her down to feel pretty. and that breeds strife and jealousy for no reason. You're both pretty and your sister's hair is beautiful as well, I love the braid updo reminds me of locs
11:38 as a dark skinned black girl i always find it crazy how the colourism works over for you guys being too black you guys skin tone is actually pale from my pov
A dark Latina or Asian would be considered light in the black community but in their community they’re dark compared to their ppl. So they’re able to experience colorism and benefit from it
i've been following y'all for a while now and i'm so glad we finally got a 'deeper' qna!! i'm half korean and half brazilian and can relate sooo much with you
As a Korean born and raised, now an American citizen, my Korean relatives don't even see me as true Korean. But looking around at Korean American, I can see why. Most don't know Korean history, culture or even speak the language. Some never been to Korea. And they don't really make that much effort into learning about Korea. Yet, I see some of those Korean Americans acting as they are expert in all things Korea when in reality they know nothing.
its most likely because of racism. when u grow up as a korean in america, u are always the "other" no matter what u do. its like almost the opposite to mixed asians like queenie. you look asian but u are culturally american. (instead of looking like a foreigner but being culturally korean) no one ever accepts u in america even if ur born and raised and know nothing about korea. not only that but they will remind you constantly of how different u are. america is not the melting pot it claims to be. especially for asians. its called the "perpetual foreigner myth" for a reason. korean americans shouldnt have to put any effort into learning about korea. they are american. but because americans are racist and dont see u as one of them, korean americans feel forced to learn things about korea. its the process of racialization. its not their fault. and you blaming them for acting like experts ignores the long and painful history of racial hostility against asians in the u.s. assimilated diaspora do not need to understand nor do they claim to understand everything about their homelands because they do not live there. u may live in america now, but it seems u do not understand what its like to have such a fractured sense of identity in which u literally r pulled in both directions due to no choice of ur own except where ur parents decided to raise u. u may have made a choice but it is not their own choice to make. and frankly its so annoying when asians from asia act like asian americans are trying to be entitled little brats when in reality, immigration is often a very traumatic and life altering thing to endure, especially for 1st generations who came during difficult times historically. who cares if they never been to korea. there isnt simply "one" definition of "koreanness" that exists. korean americans are experts in their own right, to their own experiences, just as u are urs. that isnt wrong or bad as u assume.
You and your sister are twins and both very beautiful. Also, Koreans treat Korean Americans like foreigners too based on the fact that they don't live there, they don't know what is like to live there, they're not involved in the politics etc of that country, and many are not that good at the language so communication is also an issue at times, and let's not forget the customs they're not familiar with. I think that's how it is for most non homogenous countries though. Anyone deemed different in any way are assumed foreigners or outsiders.
Gurllll people are crazy bcuz y'all are two gorgeous ladies!❤ My little sisters go through this though they aren't mix its just genetics. Haters are cruel 😭

I was born in Korea and Asian American but whenever I meet Korean people, they are always shocked whenever I talk in Korean (fluently) lol I think it's been like that since I was a teenager pretty much. This is in America but even when I visited Korea, it was pretty much the same experience.
13:26 I felt this SO bad as a blasian w light skin. I get told by my black friends tht I’m white and not “black” enough but my asian friends not only think I’m too dark enough to be asian, but tht I also have “black” features so I’m not asian (I look asian to my black friends and depending on my asian friends, I look black or asian). It’s gen so infuriating bc I can’t be accepted into either one and you honestly feel left out so I could deeply relate w this
also the difference in mannerism too. I grew up w both the asian customary mannerisms/culture and the african way too. my african American friends get annoyed and shocked tht I’m way too respectful and have too much manners and how I don’t need to be “doing all tht.” although, asians and african elders really like me so ig that’s a plus
11:00 lol honestly the fact that u even want to make an effort to make friends means that u r doing rly well shyness aside im too anxious to even glance at other groups let alone want to insert myself
omg when people say "youre not black" its sooo annoying 😭 because since people know my mom is mixed with black and white its suddenly "youre mixed" even though they know my dad is fully black they think im just white ☠
dada means auntie in some parts of romania,i literally call my mom sister "dada maria" i had a ex girlfriend from a different part of romania and she said dada means grandma in her area
I feel like if someone actually approached you to befriend you, you'd be very hesitant. I don't think it's necessarily due to the skin color per se. Strangers even at school aren't going to just befriend you out of nowhere. Tbh, I went through a very similar experience growing up in the US as an Asian especially back in late 90s/2000s. I've been trying to say that I'm just an American but like the issue you addressed, I get that look or silence which can be loud suggesting that I'm Asian or Asian American at best, not just an American even though I'm patriotic, a military veteran, drive big suv/trucks, and eat American food, and etc.
Thank you sharing you both are very pretty and funny 100% I would love to have y’all as my bffs (also what do you recommend to people who are going to Korea for the first time because it kind of want to go for the food)
Queenie, I love you so freaking much, if you could respond to me, it'd mean the WORLD to me. Your videos are just🤌🤌🤌 You actually made me interested in Korean culture, and make me want to travel to Korea as well. I hope you never stop making videos, because they're just so entertaining and funny.
That’s because blacks don’t like to acknowledge being mixed race themselves. It kinda goes back to the shame of slaverape. We were forbidden to acknowledge our mixture and after a while it turned to resentment towards personal mixture in general
I agree with Dada, when she said you’re both pretty just in your own unique ways. There’s so much beauty in you guys being your individual selves 😌, it’s not about who’s prettiest 😭. Also, it’s the same for us black people that are mixed race in America.. you grow up with identity issues and don’t feel accepted anywhere 😕
Gah yall look like twins 😍😍👭👭 but as an answer to where you fit as a race, I would simply say that you are" women of color" or say that you are biracial. I say this from experience. I had a hard time finding where I fit because I experienced the same thing growing up as y'all. I was too black the native Americans and whites and not black enough for blacks. However all three races are visible and shown in me. So in my mid-twenties I decided not to pick any race because it's not fair to the parents and grandparents of mine who are other races. So I decided from then on I would not try to fit into any One race and simply be A WOMAN OF COLOR. 🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️
Both of you girls are pretty. Both of you would get mad guys wanting to be with you in America. Low key if I was 20 years old my preference would be more (right sister in grey) but both of you are very pretty, and if I was you two, I wouldn't even answer that question (about who is prettier) blood is thicker than dumb questions. Great Q&A though.
Trust me, black light skin women and girls get the same thing. If one more person calls me an Oreo or says I can’t cook because of my skin tone…I stg I’ll lose it.
In America, groups are very real. If you’re not already in a group, you most likely won’t be “accepted” - Americans are not welcoming, they’re very closed off (I’m saying this as a born and raised American, who’s lived in different states)
Groups are real but its definitely very easy to join a group once you befriend a person from it. Maybe its place by place but in cali i find people to be friendly and easy to become friends with this all just depends on you as a person.
@@Jamiar I do agree with this. Once you befriend someone first, individually. But, joining the group itself by trying to insert yourself into it without knowing anyone is when they’re closed off
