I really wish that people would start from the beginning where they mix the risen. Tell use how much to poor in a cup with A or B or risen and hardener. I'm a newbie on this. I'm trying to make book marks but I try many different ways and never comes out hard, it comes out very bendy. Please help me out????????
Hello Julie 😊. I'm so sorry if I skipped over steps. Sometimes we RUclipsrs forget that some viewers are brand new, and we forget to include steps that we do on autopilot 😳. I reviewed my videos to find one were I show each step. Check out video #177 suncatcher. I think it will fill in the blanks I missed. Re bendy resin, there could be a number of causes, e.g., the resin you're using, mixing process, or even the weather. I have been using Magic Resin, and I rarely have any problems. Sometimes, the bookmarks will be a tiny bit bendy, but that's not really a problem. I hope this helps. Again, apologies for any frustration. Hang in there, resin is sooooo much fun 😍
do you have any tips on getting rid of bubbles stuck in the edges of the bookmark which I can’t really see until I unmold and it creates chips on the edges
Just beautiful! I 'm just starting with resin, bookmarks seem like a small item.. Could you tell me how deep the bookmark is? It seem to be quite think and its not a measurement that the mold makers supply..Would want bookmark to damage someone Bible.
Hi Jodie :) The resin I used on these hardens completely in about 20ish hours. It's Table Top and Art Epoxy Resin. Deep casting resin usually takes about 3 days to completely harden.
@@aurapourswithbarb7776 okay thank you! Mine has been past the 3 days and is still a bit bendy 😑 i got a heat lamp. Fingers crossed 🤞 that it will help
Hi Isabelle 😊. Not with my bookmarks, but sometimes with other molds. Try filling the molds a little more. If you do get a little ridge on the edges, you can file it down.
Hi There :). I pretty must just take my best guess at how much I need, but usually the manufacturer will have charts based on the size of the project you're doing. The other thing I've seen some people do is fill your molds with water, and then pour the water into a measuring cup to see how much resin to make. Make sure you don't get any water in your resin tho (dry your molds out really well before putting resin in them).

Wow. I like it.
Thanks Karen! 😊

Hello 😊. Yes, lightly run a toothpick around the edges right after you pour them 👍
Beautiful
Thank you Kimberly ☺️

Hello Bill 😊. Bookmarks are typically about 1/8 th inch thick. No worries with damaging books. Have fun, but be warned...resin art is addictive 😉
And u can try using a heat tool with silicone molds..its safer than blow torch..
After ruining several molds, I finally discovered that the best way to get rid of bubbles is to spritz with alcohol...boom!
@@aurapourswithbarb7776 thank you for ur time..I will try that
Why do I keep getting a line down the center of my bookmarks?
Hi, that happens from time to time, a spritz or 2 with alcohol sometimes helps, but honestly, I usually think it looks kinda cool ☺️
@@aurapourswithbarb7776 it happens all the time with my bookmarks and I can't sell them like that.
Sometimes I make little swirls with a toothpick if there are lines or things I don't like.
Amazing dear, your my idol
Awe...that's so sweet of you. I'm honored 🥰
I have read some where you can spritz alcohol to remove the bubbles. Have you tried that? I am about to try resin for the first time.
Hi Karen, now that you mention it, I have heard that before... Forgot about it. Will def give it a try...thanks!!!
Have fun! Possibilities with resin are ENDLESS ❤️
Hi Karen. I tried it...AND IT WORKS! No more ruined molds...THANK YOU! 😊
How long did it take to completely harden plz & ty 😊

have you experienced "meniscus" issues with bookmarks? How have you remedied those?

Hello..can u please tell me how you measure resin and hardner??do you measure the diameter and depth of all the molds??m new to resin..

@@anjalijoseph7164 You're so very welcome! Enjoy!
Have you experienced your resin drying flemsy and not hard?
Hi Tiara. Not with Magic Resin. It will soften if you leave it in the sun, but otherwise, no probs.
