I love your video's and you. I am not a teacher but I am in the IT field and need to support the teachers in software as well as hardware. So you are my go to for software.
I started using Google Classroom last year. None of us (teachers) received any professional development so I watched A LOT of RUclips videos, like this one. This one was especially helpful, though and in 14 minutes learned 5 tips that I already utilized in my own classes, so THANK YOU!!!
Well this WAS 1000% more helpful than any of the "trainings" we have been offered! Thank you for helping out a 31 veteran who had a typewriter in college :)
@@lisarispoli1017 Wow!! I am not sure my kids close to your age have ever even seen a real typewriter! Well, my 23 year old maybe... but only because he the production manager of the high school theater, and they have used them for props :)
Thank you so much for this! I'm a homeschool mom who just discovered Google Classroom and I nearly ditched it for the exact reason of not being able to see the week at-a-glance. I had created a classroom for each subject and topics for each subsection. (Example: Writing, Grammar, Reading all in the Language Arts Class) but we quickly missed being able to see all subjects for the week and easily see what was left for ALL subjects. Organizing by weeks makes sense! That is how I have always done it with every other planner whether it was paper or digital. The second issue we came across was color coding the subjects. That was the reason we created new classes for each subject (allowing different colors) which I think did more harm than good, so I love the idea of emoji color coding!! I was able to do this straight from my Samsung smartphone rather than using the Emoji Copy thing (in case anyone was wondering - it's the same emojis) Your video has revived my excitement for Google Classroom for my middle schooler. 😍
Thank You So Much! This is my first year as a teacher and I am teaching virtually and I am not used to google classroom so thank you for helping me make my google classroom improve! Sincerely, Mr. Mortes
i would definitely say.. your ways of teaching are to the point , innovative and clear.. will come back for more..and i would recommend your channel .Thank you Michelle .
I have a lot of coworkers seeking for easy /simple information about Google Classroom. Thank you so much for sharing this. We really appreciate your work❤️
I'm a student hoping to become a teacher when I leave school. @pocketfulofprimary has inspired me so much and reminded me of why I want to become as great of a teacher as she is 😊😊💕💕
THANK YOU!! You have taught me SOOOOO much about google classroom, drive, slides, and keep! I couldn’t have done distance learning without you. I am truly grateful!!❤️
I wish I could have discovered your tutorials earlier. They are so very clear and right on the money. I now have some direction on how to start my google classroom school year. I have shared your videos with my co-teachers. Thank you.
This is EVERYTHING! Honestly, as a music teacher, I have 400 students- so keeping my classroom clean and organized is like, huge. Not gonna lie... I've been struggling a bit 😂thank you so much for this!
Awesome presentation. After using Google Classroom for years, my district switched to Schoology. Hated it! I'm at a new district and they use Google Classroom. Needed a refresher course and this was amazing. Keep up the great presentations!
I have a lot of material and I like to allow students their choice of assignment. I have never been able to fluidly do this in class until now and I will continue with Google once we finally (hopefully) go back to school. I will assign a group of assignments to guide students to find a topic to work on and use the topics as material and once they have visited chosen place they may upload their assignments. I like your topic being the week students are in, excellent, thanks for sharing. This whole distance learning is a process. lol I feel like after 4 months I do not feel as apprehensive about utilizing this app. I think you will be getting huge views here. Congrats on a concise and most excellent video.
You are such a mind reader! My co-teachers and I were just talking about how to re-arrange our classroom to be simpler for the kids and then voila! You do a video on exactly what we need! You have been an absolute Godsend throughout this, if not for your videos I would have been utterly lost. Sending a big thank you and a hug all the way from South Africa!
Thank you! I had no idea I could cut down on what shows up in the classroom stream, nor had I ever seen anything like emojicopy! Super useful tips to make my Google Classroom even better.
I have been teaching 20 years and I am the a tech lead at my school. I love how wonderfully informative your videos are. I have learned so much from you and I consider myself pretty techie. Thanks so much!
Very helpful. Our school is just now moving to Google Classroom and this video helped conceptualize organizational concepts. I'm already envisioning how I'm going to translate my system into our Google Classroom. Thank you!
Amazing video! It was so helpful. With virtual teaching my google classroom was a mess. This video was so helpful getting it cleaned up.Thank you so much! Happy teacher appreciation week!
Your videos are always so informative and your explanations are always so clear. Thank you for generously sharing all of these tips. I am sharing your videos with my colleagues all the time, you have no idea how many people you are helping. Thank you for your generosity!

Thanks a bunch for this seminar. What an impressive tutorial ! I find it useful, and I'm ready to use it for my classes. Wow! I can't wait to watch the follow up videos. 👍👏🏾
What a great presentation - useful, fun, informative, and positive! As a pre-service teacher, I like hearing about, and seeing, what actually works for you in your classroom. The tips on creating a tutorial are excellent too. Many thanks for sharing!
I've used Google Classroom for years and never thought to organize it in this way. You cease to amaze me Michele. I always learn something from your videos :). Sending love your way!
My first Pocketful of Primary video and I am head over heals I found you! You information was useful, organized, geared toward efficiency and creates a setup that is best for the students. As well, you are joyful to watch. Thank you!
I'm not a teacher...that being said....I watch probably at least 1 of your videos every day LOL I am learning alot about how I could use these resources in what I do and it is CRAZY effective! Less work but more being done!
You really do an excellent job of explaining and demonstrating. I'm so glad you included all the tips. The one I might have added is that if you click on a student's name in the People tab you will what they see when they click View All. Great video.
Our training institution is just about to migrate to this new norm in teaching and for a self-thought trainer like me, your videos have always been my guide in this journey. I trust your instructions and suggestions, I love hearing your voice and I like looking at your lovely face. Thanks a lot!
As a parent I've been looking for any tutorials & pointers to help ease the stress & frustration of remote learning for my son & myself this year. Last year was a little trying at times Lol. Thanks for posting your helpful videos. I even found useful information from the ones geared towards teachers too.
I organize mine by subjects. However, for the next school year, I really like the idea of organizing by the weeks. I think this will help students that are absent find their work faster. I will also continue organizing by subjects (because I really like doing that) with a color coded system. Thanks for sharing! 🤗
You can also show your students on their view that there is the To Do list, and it's organized by week, as well as a subsection for Missing that also lists by due date by this week, last week, and "earlier".
Thanks for the video. I like the idea of scheduling content to push out to students, using symbols to organize items and making a walk through tutorial for students to use.
Yeah Michelle! I love the video this week. By watching your video, I feel like I have my Google Classroom organized. I love how I can click on View all because I've been going through assignments through the classwork and that's been driving me crazy! Also , I have one mom who keeps asking me what assignments are still due. So now I can refer back to that page. And the emoji's! Oh my goodness! I'm loving it! Once again, Michelle ..thank you for your amazing videos! You are an incredible teacher and I'm thankful for learning something new each week with your videos. Have a great week!
Michelle - I have watched a lot of your helpful instructional videos/tutorials and they have been an amazing resource for my teaching practice. I have always found Google Classroom a little disorganized on the student end and your tips have helped me organize my Classroom for this coming school year. I very much appreciate you taking the time to make these. I can tell that you are an amazing teacher and that your students are lucky to have you. :) Thanks, again!
Thank you, Michelle! I have learned so much from you and I am getting much better at presenting my lessons (especially Google Slides) by watching your videos. You have truly been a lifesaver!
Thank you! I seriously think you may have just saved my sanity!! The LMS I am currently using is way too complicated! I am switching and using your tips to help me get through this year!!
Your examples for organization is awesome! What I would like you to review more is the grading process. Using Google forms, I usually have to go back and forth. And shortcuts?
🥰I really have learned so many computer tidbits from you! You caught my attention when I first heard you say "I like to do things in rainbow order".... SAME!
This video was extremely helpful. Since we are beginning virtually, your tips for items to focus on while doing a screencastify for the students was spot on!
