Glad you guys enjoyed it. That was my fifth and last Dead concert. They were really off (Jerry couldn't get it together) and we left early, probably during that awful space jam. Been a Deadhead since 1976, but even the best have their bad nights.
My Denton buddy Eli set me up by the entry gates before they cut the ribbons across each gate. I still see all the heads falling out in the mad dash to the front of the stage. We wound up smack dab in front of Jerry on the cyclone fence. A very packed scene but fun show watching Jerry turn into a large raccoon for most of the show. Good times!
That explains it. All of a sudden it turned into a mad rush. I remember. "Packed scene" is right. Are you saying they let everybody in without tickets?
