the cost of building a house in eastlegon including the land starts at $250,000. East legon lands starts at $200,000 and it cost at least $50,000 to build a simple 3 bedroom house so total is a minimum of $250,000.

Yes people are building on every piece of land available in the cities and towns in Ghana but that in itself has good and bad implications. Without HOA’s(Home Owners Associations),, everybody does whatever they want and build without putting in proper drainage along the front of their homes hence directing water to neighbors properties or into the supposed roads and streets. Come raining season the roads get really damaged then citizens blame authorities. But the same citizens are part of the problems. Also land used for farming has all disappeared in Greater Accra because everybody wants to live in Accra so the need for housing is so high and property development has became lucrative business. Please people don’t rush to Accra only to come and add to the problems. Come to Ghana and go to other regions where there is a need for investments into agriculture, manufacturing, healthcare, and education, just to mention a few lucrative areas where you can invest in reap good benefits and also enjoy living in Ghana. Plus you can get the land far more cheaper and build your house for far more less money in such other places than buying land a plot that is less than a quarter of an acre at East Legon, Trasacco area, Adjirignanor, East Airport for example, for USD500,000.00 before building that mansion for another $500,000.00. Do your research well, you will not be able to afford these areas that you are seeing. Nice to see and dream about but you will not be able to play where the rich in Ghana live.
