“You’ve gotten a lot farther than you should have, but then you haven’t met Frank Horrigan either. Your rides over Mutie, time to die.”
Burned into my brain
Frank horrigan is the definition of metal balls bigger than the sun being metal wielded in between the legs.
"Wait, let's talk about this"
"We just did."
It’s crazy how long ago the game came out
“Your not a hero your just a walking corpse” 💀
I really love how based on the power armor lore you still need a full chassis to operate it, but Frank Horrigan is just so goddamn huge that he wears the full pieces like regular armor.
iirc it's like fused to his skin as a part of him so it's more like he is the armor now
it's a special PA made for him, he's that big
Also not only is it specially made for him but also he is still so huge that the armor doesnt even cover him 100%
@@MynamemaybeTOMMY They could've at least fitted the gaps in the armor with a cut proof fabric with a thin kevlar under
Don't really need to. Even a normal super is funxtionally heavily armored just due to their skin.
Dudes are insane @@Silverin_
"He could rip a deathclaw in half with his bare hands."
Enough said.
''Don't fuck with this bodyguard''

One of the most deadly? No dude he IS the most deadly. That dude is a living dreadnought on fucking steroids.
I mean he's a boss and our character kills him pretty easily. I'd say we are the most powerful character.
@@christosarcher8759hell no. Anyone new to fallout could not get him on the first try
Plus the player character had the help of a death squad and turrets as well, theres just no way to make it out of there without cheesin the hell out of em
Mama Murphy beats him.
Must keep in mind we are the "chosen one"
Fun fact: He is the only final boss you can't use Speech checks on.
What? I am completely unaware of any speech checks you can do against Frank himself. You can convince people to help and hack his turrets but I'm pretty sure their ain't no way to talk your way out of that fight
@@FourthIdentity-gu2zk oh shit auto correct changed can't to can

@@Wanys123 As far as I remember... yes... but I could be wrong to be honest. I played Fallout 2 the last time 15 years ago.
[Speech check passed]
Frank: "Cool story, time to die."
He was pretty much a behemoth with some lvl of consciousness. I hope one day we can see another variant of him in the game.
fo76 had a doctor that turns into a behemoth but he was screaming in pain and couldnt talk as well as frank
I keep here people say this. The behemoth is 20 feet tall. No he’s 12 feet he’s a big ass super mutant
@@GalaxyNewsRadio_fallout 4 behemoths are smaller though
Better he was more agile as well as strong as a small behemoth with all that intelligence still present, army of franks would be unstoppable, he’s basically what fev was made for in essence a super solider better than everyone else even power armour opponents
He’s not a behemoth. Maybe like a “Super Mutant Master” from FO3 or something
Yet through all of this, he’s still a homie asking what the boys want for Lunch.
I just got into fallout, where do I read up on more stuff like this?

If on console, FNV, F3, then F4
If you also want get an in-depth Legends version of lore, there is also online what is called the Fallout Bible, the story of what would’ve happened if Interplay never went under and sold the IP to Bethesda.

His death animation tho 😬
Bro 100% got a bloody mess proc on that deathclaw
I remember kill that deathclaw in 2101 back in the days. It was the first time I use my power armor
I feel like Frank is what the pre war scientists were intending to create through FEV, and the dumber, ordinary super mutants would all be failures in their eyes, while the Master saw them as his angelic soldiers of perfection
Even the master considered the dumb ones to be failures, he considered them to be better than humans simply because of what they were, but his goal was to make a superior being, and he did succeed a few times, the key was it usually required someone with no radiation exposure whatsoever to make which was rare in the wasteland.
Most of the mutants on the eastcoast are vault tec experiments on vault dwellers thag escaped, the ones out west were designed to be super weapons from the start.
Prime muties created in Mariposa like the Lieautenant or Marcus show what the Master actually wanted to create. Frank also happened to be positively affected by the FEV like those two

Because like with everything nowadays, it has become a trend on tiktok. Even though nobody there has actually played fallout 2, multiple people have done these "edits" on Frank Horrigan which basically just ballooned his popularity. The same can be said about The Courier.

Plot
Plot armor> power armor
Im going to say exactly what some other dude said about frank horrigan, “the devs literally said the only reason the player is able to kill frank horrigan is because of the story, so that it continues.” Frank literally went out not due to the damage from the player but his own armor malfunctioned.
@@Memeskazzy the most likely outcome was getting a squadron of enclave solders and hacking the turents the chosen one wasn't alone but Yeah after he gets shot in half he literally stand up on his hands crawling/ walking towards you and smack talking before his suit gives out on him

Love that he has such a normal name. First time you hear “Frank” you wouldn’t think he’s a bulging mass of muscle intent on ripping you in half.
Imagine the level of loyalty it takes to be like, "I've become the thing we hate most...... _learn from me,"_ and not only open yourself up for experimentation, but to hit the back end of that like, "Be a shame to waste all _THIS,_ time to go back to work!"
I like to call him the only ultra mutant to ever exist, just sounds cool
Yeah i'm pretty cool
Thanks for the reminder that the Enclave's president was Richard Richardson
A super mutant behemoth that never lost his intelligence
Dick Richardson… now that’s my president
Imagine the re did fallout 1 and 2 but in the 3D open world setting! That would be super cool! The story to both 1 and 2 is actually really good and I think would be amazing in the modern fallout style!
So, the Enclave hate mutants, but actively further mutated Horrigan?
Yes, because who's going to let something like "principles" or "morals" get in the way of having a 12 foot tall super mutant in power armor as your personal bodyguard?
They're fine using mutants as tools of destruction.
@@AnarexicSumo seeing as how they put mind control hats on deathclaws
The ironic thing is, if you play fallout 2 you actually discover in the lore that the oil rig wasn't intended to be a vault and as such seeped radiation. All the enclave are mutated. If you compared them with baseline vault dwellers. This is why they were raiding the vaults for clean test subjects.
I mean, if said mutant is still very much inteligent and loyal to me, then i see no problem
"Whos the most powerful character in the game?"
"F R A N K"
I’d love to see a vanilla 3D representation of him as a boss someday.
I love that Dick Richardson equates to Dick, son of Richard in old English.
So, with a modern slant (not sure how long ago Richard became synonymous with Dick), his name would be Dick, son of Dick.
Why am I seeing so many videos of Frank Horrigan this week? Is it because of the TV show?
They put him in 76
Oh? Really? Where!?
Yes it's because of the show ... Fallout 4 got a next gen update and because the show season 1 plays in California/ Season 2 in New Vegas.
PS: Of course people who don't know the franchise also play F1 and F2 and Frank Horrigan is the most badass villain even though he dies in F2.
So they put him in fallout 4 not 76 then.
I think if they randomly put him in the show his mere presence would be it's saving grace.
So he is basically the hulk in a power armor with a mega patriotic soldier mind
Fallout 1 and 2 remastered would be so cool
999 hp, he had a phase knife that looked like the predator's wrist blades, he moved like a mythic deathclaw and stung like a dozen Cazadors. He kicked my arse so badly the first time, because i wanted to talk to him and not just trigger combat by activating the turrets - what a mistake. After one or two more tries, I killed him AND everyone survived.
In the epilogue, the game says Vault 13 and the Arroyo survivors built a city using the GECK - I wonder if we will get to see it in the show?

They basically created the Fallout version of Bane
"You aren't a hero. You're just a walking corpse"
So frank became a mutant doom slayer
I mean in fallout 2 Frank punched the Deathclaw so hard its body ruptured.
Where is it stated he ripped it in half?
It certainly doesn't seem like that's what Frank is doing in the scene, he literally forms a fist and twists it as he punches.
I think the developers just had limited opportunities
@@blackwolf_365 i can agree with that but thats actually kind of my point.
If he ripped its arm or ripped it in half it would make more sense if he just walked up and lifted his open hand to it... but they actually took the time to animate Frank throwing a punch at it with their limited tech.
This is why i am very confident he punched it so hard it's body ruptured.
@@jacobniemann4756 sounds fair
I remember getting a set of power armor in fallout new Vegas or fallout 3, where whenever I would wear this certain power armor, it would automatically inject me with stimpaks or other chemicals when I dipped below a certain threshold. Adam smasher inspiration maybe?
Cyberpunk was originally a tabletop game. Adam Smasher was the GMs "game over" event to finish the camapign. He wasnt really meant to be beaten and the fact that V can beat him 1 on 1 gives him stupid scaling
I don’t understand your reply I merely wondered if there was any influence on the video game rather than the tabletop. I have the TTRPG for Cyberpunk mind, solid game!
Adam Smasher is older, so if anything it would be the other way around. I doubt either influenced the other.
A mistake turned Space Marine.
There needs to be a spiritual successor that's damn near the same guy. This was TOO WELL DONE to be used just once.
I want a fallout mod where he is just constantly after you like Nemesis
He's basically Fallout's version of Adam Smasher
I wonder if he was inspired by him at all, they're so similar.
Frank has a melee blade, i know this because you can give yourself that weapon with the use of an inventory editor.
I'm always reluctant on fighting deathclaws but that guy I would never want to fight under any circumstances after seeing him snap the neck out of a deathclaw. He's even stronger than a regular supermutant, wild
Frank my beloved
Adam Smasher vs Frank Horringan
Who wins?
Frank is much bigger, stronger, tougher, smarter, luckier, and more charismatic,
with a gun that can liquefy other's in power armor,
a retractable punching power "knife" that is at least 3 feet long.
He punched a deathclaw hard enough,
it's body ruptured,
which is a creature that is tough enough to withstand small nuclear explosions.
Adam Smasher is faster,
with much faster reaction time,
but his weapons wouldn't hurt Frank enough to get him the win.
But, remember, Adam's speed,
comes from hacking his enemy's perception to reduce their reaction speed.
The Enclave tech is advanced,
but old-school,
no wireless internet capabilities,
much like America's nuclear silos,
made that way so you can't hack them,
so Atom might not be able to hack Frank's stuff,
except maybe his communications device.
Frank does have cybernetics,
but they are unlikely going to have wireless connectability,
meaning they can't be wirelessly hacked.
If the speed boost he get's,
is just from hacking into someone's perception,
to make them preserve him has moving faster,
then he loses his speed advantage because Frank (probably) doesn't have wireless Bluetooth enabled cybernetics.
Perhaps Adam could cause Frank's earbuds to explode with hacking?
At least just make the earbuds make noises and stop working.
If Frank can hit him,
Frank wins.
If Frank can't hit him,
then Adam would run out of ammo before doing enough damage,
then he'd run away berceuse he's smart.
The worst Adam could do is disable Frank's communication device preventing Frank from calling in backup,
try to go fast,
but realize Frank's brain and eyes aren't wireless accessible,
so he can't blitz Frank,
then Frank shoots him with his plasma canon which liquifies mater.
If Adam can go fast,
then maybe he could get behind Frank and stab him in the neck?
That might just make Frank angry.
Adam is like, 9-10 feet tall.
Frank is at least 12 feet tall,
at most 18 feet tall.
Frank could wrap his fingers around Adam and snap him like a twig.
If Adam can hack Frank's perception to reduce his reaction time,
then Adam might win by speed.
If Adam can't hack Frank's perception,
then Frank wins pretty much in every way.
So he is a post apocalyptic cyberpsycho
Just occurred to me the President is literally “Richard Richardson”
We need Frank For Fallout 5, make him a nemesis over the wasteland who just appesrs randomly and you either gotta run or subdued him until you are strong enough to take him out
I don't trust Bethesda to do him justice to bring a legend from the dead
All that to be killed by a vault dweller
Grandchild of a vault dweller* the chosen one never lived in the vaults
My fall out 4 Character is called frank. So is this boss. I think my character made it to a different game. Good for him.
Imagine a game where the master or a similar type being comes back with the goal to unify the wasteland and it finds horrigans DNA/research in some way.
so how did you beat this dude in the game
The lead dev said you only get to win because the player has to be able to beat the game, in other words you only won because plot armor.
in game though you can convince a squad of Enclave troops to assist you in fighting him aswell as hack two turrets to also help in the fight.
The original Adams smasher
They turned Frank INTO a Tank
Pumped with so many chemicals they gotta keep him pumped to keep him alive
how the fuck are you supposed to kill that?
You turn the turrets against him and convince some Enclave to help you fight him. After that just pray to god that he doesn’t kill you first
With a little help from some friends
Here’s what I’m thinking. In the Fallout tv series, the Enclave is still a VERY prominent figure in the wasteland, and because of that, it means that the events of Fallout 2 haven’t taken place yet, which means that Frank Fucking Horrigan is still alive, which means we get to see this bastard run everybody’s fade again. Can’t wait.
The show takes place after the games man
It takes place after fallout 4
the fallout show is set like a 130 years after fallout 2.
Fallout shoe takes place like 30 years after fallout 2.
Fallout 2 happened way before the TV show is placed.
Bro literally one punched a death claw

Frank Horrigan:
I wonder if that PA he wears inspired the feral-suppression serum the ghouls use in the TV show.
I kept drawing parallels between him and Adam Smasher in Cyberpunk.
My head canon is that Frank was the first Behemoth in lore, which is why he was seen as unique
Would be interesting play as Frank Horrigan and see these things happening to him.
