Just a tip, you can add a strap under any heat shielding, if you plan on putting it back on. The more straps the better, the less you can see, even better!
You can't be serious. You too the whole pipe off... Had it free and out in the open... And the you put it back on before you wrap it People who don't know what they are doing instructing other people that don't know what they are doing... Beautiful.
Oh, was the first 3 minutes a completely different video? You know, the part where you literally remove and reinstall the entire exhaust before you squeeze that wrap between the engine and pipe?
Tbh we all know we can wrap it with it off but what if a girl has this bike and they want to wrap it and not take it off the engine. Now they have this video to refer too. Good job sir, shoulda revved it up tho 😎😎
Okay, I'm green. What's the benefit of the pipe wrap? I like the black pipe! I can live without a lot of chrome (would prefer it!). But, the wrap? seems like a lot of work and I haven't a clue why....Thanks, all.
Hi Chris. It's our old pipe that we used to sell. Our supplier of the tubing flaked out on us. It's too bad because the pipes were really cool. Thanks, Lance at BCB

The nut is attached to a long bolt that goes over to the left side foot peg. You will have to hold that bolt on the left side of the bike when removing the nut.
Buddy didn’t wrap it while it was off and then proceeded to wrap it the wrong way. 😵 Remember wrap it from the tail to the engine. That way it doesn’t collect as much dirt on grime as the ridges of the wrap aren’t facing forwards
I’ve watched every one of y’all’s videos, I’m obsessed with these kits!! Wish I could afford one for my 95 Vulcan.
Surely must be easier with the pipe off
Redducati1199 yeah really, I thought that's why he was taking the pipe off in the first place.
Yes. If your pipe comes off easily it's better that way. Sometimes the mounting screws are too tight and you may break them trying to remove the pipe.
This helped a LOT, thank man!

Why did you not wrap it when you had the pipe off ??
Do you not use hi temp silicone spray?
Would it be ok to put the exhaust wrap on while the header pipe is off or does the header need to be on the bike first? Thanks
You can put the exhaust wrap either when the pipe is off or on!
Thanks.
If you soak the wrap over night and wrap it snug on the pipe then let it dry it will be super tight on the pipe.
You can simply achieve the same effect if you just let it run. It’ll steam up a bit but the normal heat from the wrap will tighten it up

Nowhere in the video did we say the pipe was removed. You shouldn't make negative comments unless you pay attention to the video!

Hi Dan, it is mainly for looks, however it does prevent the pipes from becoming too hot, so you won't be as apt to burn your leg.
BlueCollarBobbers Thanks, BCB! For those who wear shorts while riding, I can see the benefit...
What kind of drag pipe is that? what make?

what kind of silicone sealant do you use?
+gra22 We use the high temperature orange silicone sealant.
I tried to unscrew the bottom bolt on my foot peg and it won't come off, it just spins. Ideas?

A piece of advice; for the love of GOD wear gloves and long sleeves or you will have the fiberglass itch for a week.
