Well, you did a good job being as diplomatic as possible, but you clearly named it appropriately! Wow, the toilet situation was...less than ideal. The absence of rooftop air conditioning seems huge to us Americans, but I guess it's pretty common for European RVs. Glad you were able to make lemonade! 🍋
Bro it still blows my mind that you speak fluent Cuban (and good english too!)
My God, It's shameful to rent a vehicle in this condition! And I'm sure it's expensive!! But you are so nice to try to stay positive! Love you Robert!
That camper van has had adventures! Neat differences between the USA & European vans.
Thank you Mr. Robert.
Have a great time in Europe! Can't wait to see the videos!
Next time tell them you are an important US Government Official on a mission with James Bond 007? LOL!❤🎉
oh well. that's the way it goes sometimes, right? looks like y'all were making the best of it
Gran video mostrando cuan diferentes son los vehículos europeos a los useños🙃😉😂
I have an almost same model Weinsberg camper van. No. Weinsbergs are not top quality, but unlike these Indie Camper rental vans, my van has all the optional goodies you can get. Makes your life a lot easier.
Weinsbergs are cheap. When I bought my van, the basic van like the ones Indie Campers have in their inventory were about 50 000 euros as new. I paid 75 000 for mine and it's a big difference.
That's still a great price for a campervan.
Very interesting. Makes me feel a tad spoiled.. Great stuff though, and continued safe travels.....
Oh boy! I am surprised these don't have AC! Spaniards are tougher than I thought, specially during summer season! I noticed you have been getting a good tan on your trip to Toledo.
I still have that tan :-D
Well, looks like the first RV i`ve got in 1980 in LA, a big trash box. I`m sorry for your bad expirience. Greetings from Hamburg
🌷Thank You🌻
No AC ? Spain summer is crazy hot
Forget this I would prefer a nice hotel then lugging this thing around
That camper has seen better days, what a shame they still rent it and won’t replace it with a newer model.
It's a Rental! Works ok Right! Duh
YES, a lemon could barely fit in the Fiat van, 😅 . Enjoying the views of Madrid. Thankyou Robert!
Its ok. You were living life too good so far. Its time to slum it 🤣🤣
Robert - Next time you go to Europe, I hope you get a better Camper Van
No thanks! My patience would not be able to handle that Van 😂
Wow so sorry you had to endure that Robert
Diesel Exhaust Fluid is also labeled as Ad Blue here in the States..
Didn't know that
Tanks Robert
LOL how good was the lemonade you made
robert the big question is ,why did u rent it.
To make a road trip in Spain
The US conversion camper vans are much nicer. Of course they're made for only one or two people and not made for a gang. The nice part about camper vans is that you don't need an additional vehicle to go sight seeing or to do any shopping because most will fit a a parking space. And I like the fact that you don't have a black water tank. In the US, you don't need to go to a dumping station to empty a grey water tank because it's only soapy water so you can dump it on the ground, or so I've been told.
At most places in the US you have to dump gray water at a dump station. I love the idea of having a camper van.
It’s been awhile since I’ve been watching your travels. Looks a bit challenging. Hope all is well.
Yes. It's all part of the journey.
That van must have been driven by Florida, NEW YORK, Boston or Italian drivers? They drive like maniacs in Italy! LOL !🇺🇸😎☘️👻
wauw - the fact they rent it out all banged up like that shouldnt be a thing imho!
Yeah that Class B looks like a clunker for sure, but I find it a bit too small even for one person. In your next European trip is it possible to rent a small Class C unit?
Next time we're getting a class C for sure
Traveling Robert In Europe.
Helloooooo PelicanHeads
Wondering about the price of diesel in Europe 🇪🇺 🤔
I'll have to convert from liters to gallons and from euros to dollars, but it wasn't that bad.
@@TravelingRobert Not bad? Its over $6 a gallon in Spain
@@signografika During Covid it was over $10 a gallon in Sweden. So everything is relative. (atm its around 6-7 a gallon lowest price for 10 years.)
Cool RV Robert!
Does anyone know what happened with the live chat last night? I’m almost sure I saw it was on. I like to watch it the next day!
ruclips.net/user/liveQfSbaEpI298
Thanks! I can’t find it on your channel at all, but it does show up under my feed under recommended suggestions now. So weird!
I not a fan of it and would not own one. However for a weekend I could deal with it. Just too small space.
Yes, sorry this was not a better experience for you. It is too bad it was rented out in such a shape.. I’m sure you guys made the best of it.
You would be all banged up too traveling those roads in Spain. They are narrow and not as well maintained everywhere as here in US. The RV thing over in the old world is different than US. Finding good place with all amenities is hard. Lower standards. Parking for such size vehicles is very difficult in small towns and areas of large towns. It all about the great people there. The sites to see. The ancient world. The history. The culture. The foods. The churches. The festivals.
When he gets home, he'll kiss Minnie Tinnie.
That camper van was a real wreck, can’t believe they charged you for it , only seen British ones and they far more hi tech 🇬🇧
Howdy ya'll
I imagine you got a deal on the RV. So roll with it...
Not really... but still rolled with it. It was a good time when it was.
Did the rental company not have one in better shape?
Not one available
Voy a buscarlo.
@@TravelingRobert Te va gustar mucho...son muy buenos!!
Muito legal motorhome .tudo de bom
Ribert, você é muito querido aqui no Brasil 🇧🇷
Muita saúde.

Hey Robert I follow you from south florida, right now I am in Portugal. Are you coming here? I think you lost a big opportunity to show your followers the biggest RV Show in the world going on right now in Dusseldhorf Germany. Let me now if you travel to Portugal
Caravan Salon... maybe next year
You rented a cheap one and called it ironically European van but that’s not fair. You will find any category here. Of course at different price level. I bet the cheap ones in the US wont even hit the level of this camper. Not fair.
It wasn't that cheap. No company at any price lever should rent you this piece of junk.
@@TravelingRobert We rented last year a Fiat Camper, not this model, at 130€ /day in Romania and I can not complain about anything. We did a 10 day trip to Greece and the camper did good job. It can happen in the US too that you will get a bad hotel room or bad service for your money. I just felt that the title of the video suggests that this is the European level. When it’s not at all. BTW I’m watching to your videos frequently. And I appreciate all your job. It’s way above than other travelers do on youtube! Don’t take it to heart this comment. Didn’t you have the choice to choose another one?
How expensive it rents one of those clunkers that over there?
I think it was about $80 per day
@@TravelingRobert Not terrible; as long as they don't try and charge you for the pre existing damage. i thought rv repair shops where bad in the us.
How much is rental per day ? Deposits required to rent?
Yes. About $80 per day
@@TravelingRobert That is great price compared to Sweden you would not get anything like your clunker under $100-130. $150-400 per day if you want something newer and bigger.
Robert i didn't hear you tell us or show us the AC unit on the van you have rented in spain. So you are spending three weeks there driving around and not having any AC to use on this trip. NOT ME. Hope you can make it through.
No A/C. Only while driving
Hello Rober:t how much is the rent?
I think it ended up being about 80 per day
You forgot to show the fridge and power for it???
I know... it was a 12V
@@TravelingRobert Thanks, just keeping on your game !!! Watching your entertaining videos for years. Just sold our second motor home have stop traveling now after 8 years.
This is very disappointing for a European RV; we have much better ones here even in this format like from Dethleffs or Knaus, also with automatic gear and full A/C of course. But I guess they are too expensive for this kind of rental company.
👍🙂
I hope you got this for free!!!!
Nope... it was pretty pricey actually
Hope they didn't give you a hard time when you have brought it back about that damage
They did give me some free Km for my trouble.
So basically, a Ram Promaster.
Same platform
🤘🤘💨💨
But is it a Winnebago?
Nope. They don't have them.
Pretty rough.
much too small
the clunker show some pride you are jaded oh wellll
It was a clunker
This is not an “European” campervan. Stop acting like everything from the US is better. Indeed this is a crappy German van but that’s bad luck or you should have spent some more money.
Last time I checked Germany was in Europe.
Really poor, typical Euro garbage which they happily palm off to people. The comparison between what is on offer (rental wise) in the US and Euroland is still vast. Last time I rented a car in Switzerland in the 1990's, they offered a piece of junk 1.1L Ford. Go to the USA and they go out of their way (depending on availability) to provide you with a luxury automobile with features found only in premium vehicles. USA every time for me...Europe (inc the UK) sucks!
Many European RVs are very nice. I got stuck with a lemon.
