@Alexandra McLean you mean except for DADA teachers. they really got them wrong 🤣
@@anna_caps You realize she is NOT her character? You realize that she does not have to have anything in common with her character, it's literally just another job for her. Maybe she doesn't even care about Hogwarts stuff and wouldn't want to listen to your chatting?
@John Andert - I love Miriam Margolyes and she is a fine actress. However, back even when this movie came out, the category one was nominated in was often determined by those involved in the film. They would submit the clips they wanted used for the category they felt appropriate or just wanted it to be so for the sake of the movie's promotion. Winona Ryder had a clear lead role in this film. If they wanted to be sure both she and Michelle Pfeiffer got viable nominations to jack-up the creds of the film, they would have entered Ryder among the nominations for Best Supporting category, so both would have a chance to win. And it was wrong to do because Miriam Margolyes likely would have won in the Best Supporting slot, even if nominated up against Winona.
@@downtown82 Completly agree. I really like the feel you get from the movie. It is pretty straight forward without over dramatization like many action movies and dramas
I hated it 10 years ago when the film came out. But re watched it like 1 year back. It's a marvelous film. I didn't know David Fincher directed it. I was awestruck by Gone girl and had to re-watch social network. And boy o boy everything about that movie is exceptional.

As someone who watches both British and American TV chat shows, I am shocked at how much more careless and daring the British people are. Maybe it's just my kind of humor. Come to think of it, do you imagine Ellen, Fallon or even Conan randomly saying "Rumor has it Kim's tits got stuck at the entrance"? And even more so, can you imagine such a joke not being "scandalous" and not make news? Lol. Anyway, could any of you recommend me some great British TV programs? Because Graham is on only once a week. Maybe that's one of the reasons why conversations are quality material and the host is always sharp and witty.
omg.... Miriam and Joan Rivers are one of the very few women who can be so funny and awesome talking about well...almost anything. She is so hilarious and so special
How have I been sleeping on this show. It's so laid back and funny. The questions that graham asks are funny and not at all awkward. My God. thank you for posting this! I am mainly familiar with Miriam Margolyes as Phryne Fisher's Aunt Prudence. I didn't know she was such a wonderful raconteur! She says what she thinks and lets the devil take the hindmost. I have to love anyone who hates The Social Network!
She really was great in ‘The Age of Innocence’; she played the role of Granny Manson Mingotts perfectly. Her accent was flawless; perfect New York upper class socialite. I didn’t realise she was British until years years later.
Did some research on Miriam's swear claim. Well, aside from two other claims in 1956 and 1959, she did indeed go on University Challenge in 1963. Kenneth Tynan (regarded as the first person to swear) did his swearing in 1965. You could argue, though, that it wasn't really the first swear because it was bleeped out. So, it was said, but not heard. She does have a better claim than Tynan. His was just more infamous due to the censorship laws and drama that followed his occasion.
