    09:31 to 09:55 - Beethoven discovered something within himself. In this passage, he brought it to light through pen to paper.

      9:50 is simply astounding. For a glimpse you can see the future of what Wagner, Bruckner, and Mahler would do.

    I think he was still finding his feet with this. The woodwind entry at 3:51 is the stuff of legend, but just very underdeveloped. I'm pretty sure later in life he would have developed this incredible material more. But everthing in life has it's own timing as they say.

      It definitely doesn’t feel as filled out as his others do. However, his signature complexities shine through still, just not as bright. Number one is one of my favorites.
