You know your body!!! I believe that when you have a chronic illness i think doctors should listen to you. I've lived my whole life with gi issues and every time I have pain or not feeling well with my stomach I make sure my doctor does different exams. I feel if they won't listen keep looking until someone will listen. I've had ulcers. Your pain sounds like me. !!! You sound like me. My son has an ostomy he just got 2 months ago. It took 14 years to get one. But its one of the best thing he got

Hey Priscilla! You emanate strength and resilience. Your son is lucky to have you by his side. My mother also struggles with her own chronic illness, and I can say that having a parent who is willing to go to bat for us and can empathize with our pain is a life-saving grace. Having an ostomy can be such a blessing for many of us who struggle with gastrointestinal disease, so I'm glad that your son finally got the treatment he needed. Please keep me updated on his progress with the ostomy. I'm here if either of you need advice or a word of encouragement. Sending lots of love to you and your son!!! 💜

Hey have you tried fresh pressed cabbage juice? Apparently great prevention and treatment for ulcers.

Hi Matthew! Great suggestion, thanks so much. I’ve actually never tried anything like that but I do love cabbage. Can’t eat it with the ostomy (too fibrous) but I’m sure the pressed juice would be just fine. Anything to keep the ulcers at bay would be a great addition to my diet-I really appreciate the advice 🙏🏻

Thank you so much, Priscilla! I was hesitant to speak about this because I have a great deal of respect for my doctors, but I still think they did a poor job of listening to me. I am sure that you and your son can relate in a way that most people cannot. ❤️
