You pretty much have the right of it. Extensions that don't show up in the browser are those whose license don't match that of vscodium. Excuse my lack of exact names, but essentially vscodium only searches through a specific subsection of the extension because it simply can't search through the rest for... license-related reasons it seems.

u can download it using the teminal by typing : codium --install-extension /path/nameofthefile.vsix
