Nice video. Are you going to make more content about Supabase?

Most definitely. I'll probably make a longform "Let's Code" kind of video in the near future, specifically with the stack mentioned in this video. I would also like to make more specific tutorial videos about the different parts of Supabase, but that probably won't happen until after I finish this quarter at school since I already have a lot on my plate.

@@christopherkapic I think it would be a great series because Supabase is growing a lot.

Hey great vid! How would you compare supabase to the mongo db ecosystem with realm as serverless. Where do you see advantages, disadvantages. I'm checking out these two options right now to move away from firebase. What I dont like on sb is that its using SQL format:(. Big advantage is that u can self host it. Would love to here your opinion.

Honestly I think SQL is a major feature, not a bug. I haven't looked too much into the Mongo offerings, but these days I'm usually rocking the t3 stack since it really is serverless and it can be deployed so many different ways. It makes vendor lock-in a much smaller risk (though you can never eliminate vendor lock-in). For my database I've been using CockroachDB serverless. I've also been messing with Astro for simpler websites, and so far... I love it.
