Thanks - upgraded my late 2011 to higher ram. Thanks to your video and another user's video on swapping the HDD to SSD, my MBP is now working faster than ever, a necessity for my D&D podcast. THANK YOU!
Hi, How much Ram does it support? I need to replace on my macbook pro... so pls let me know
@@vismayshah717 it claims only 8 total (4 and 4) but it supports 16 total (8 and 8).
Good Day Sir, Sir can you guest what's wrong with my MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011), I recently upgrade the OS (high sierra) of my device, It went good, but not until I unplug the charger it freezes and heat up my Mac.. What should I do? Btw my mac had 4+4 gb ram, 119 gb ssd, 250 hdd, Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB graphics... Thanks for the fb..
Regrettably we are not able to diagnosis that issue you may be having with your MacBook Pro. There is many things that may be causing the freezing of your Mac. To start off with is reformatting the drive and doing a clean installation of your High Sierra. We do strongly recommend that you backup your drive before you do so though.
Slight situation... I went to lift the battery with a screwdriver. Of course I know the error in my ways now. But it sparked a little. Does this mean the battery is dead? And
If so can I still use my laptop as long as I keep it plugged in?
I think you mean that you lifted the battery connector using a metal screwdriver? If the spark (static electricity discharge) was between the tip of the screwdriver and the battery connector, then you probably didn't cause any damage. The battery has some internal circuitry that protects it against weak current surges. If the discharge was between the screwdriver and the connector on the computer circuit board, it's possible - though unlikely - that you could damage some of the charging circuitry. When the battery is "dead," as determined by the MacBook charging circuitry, you should replace it even if the MacBook operates with the AC adapter. The battery might begin to swell, and if it does it can prevent the trackpad from working properly and it can damage the case. The force exerted by an expanding Li ion battery can be large.
@@aviarto This is good for other people to read. My computer works fine, thankfully!
I have a mac early 2011, is it possible to have 2 sticks of 8gb to make it 16ram?
I have the same question.
Same question...
It appears so.. I ended up calling them and I now have two 8gig sticks in the mail.. there was even a projection that it could take up to 32gigs. (Research it yourself though for sure)
Thank you for the info 😉
