Nissan Note subframe bushes

- I decided to remove the subframe to replace the 2 bushes. The tool (probably any tool) cannot push the original bushes out they are too stuck. They have a metal outer sleeve so it is very seized to the subframe. You must cut lengthways with a Reciprocating Saw (or hacksaw if you're a masochist) to then chisel them out. That is the hardest part. Probably versa and micra are similar. Bushes are ‘Nissan Micra K12 Mk3, Note,Tiida Front Subframe Rear Bushes’ or 54400EN01A from ebay sellers. Arms are lemforder about £75 a pair they are high quality and come with balljoints.

You ain't no fool! Lovin all the jack stands and floor jacks as an escape plan! Great tutorial for the DIYer.
good video... you did a nice job here...I've been a wrench for 40 years... you did it right....
I been a ratchet for 10 years
I have done jobs like this in the past i take my hat off to you it's no easy task replacing bushes on subframes very time consuming and it would be very costly for a garage to do it
Not an easy job.. fair play to you. Must tackle this myself shortly.
I have a K13 Micra starting to have noise from turning, some bushing problem may come from this area. Thanks for sharing this video for my curiosity.
Thanks, this was a real help tackling the wife's clonky note
🤣
Nice work I'll be doing tons of these soon at the dealership I know these go bad alot along with cvts and lower control arms and strut mounts on these
how much is the job?
Excelente trabajo, cordial saludo desde Navojoa Sonora México 🎉
I have a knocking noise from underneath my note 2016. I have been told by two garages that my car doesn’t have subframe bushes. After seeing this video I guess it does and that could be my noise.
Yeah that's your problem. Sound like it's coming from left and right when you go over a pot hole or speed bump? Subframe bushes 🙂 they're what connect both suspension arms.
Can buy em on eBay for £20-£30
Well done . Need to do this on a mates car . How long did the job take you . I am getting too old for crawling on my back doing this stuff 62 this August .
Hi mate, to change the antiroll bar bushing it’s needed lowering the subframe?
Heat the rubber, remove, clean, install new bush, put back inner shaft, settle
nice easy job
How much would you charge for labor to replace the subframe bushings
How do we know what noise it makes when they are bad ??
Thanks a lot
What year Nissan is this. Working on a 2008 Versa and the rack bolts are impossible to get to. Any suggestions?
How did you cut it
nice what is the brand and part number ?
Pity you didn't change the anti roll bar bushes too, would like to see how much of a pig the bolts are to remove.
What car are you working on
Skipped over the bit where you loosened the steering rack, having loads of trouble with mine :/
going to attempt mine this weekend any hints tips and info on socket sizes for removal?
how much would you take for this job bro just asking ?like for random person
Two hours labour + £30-£50 for the bushes depending on which ones you go for.
How much do u charge?
Hello, Do you know anything about the bushes in the front subframe of Nissan Serena 2006, imported from Japan. Where could I get them from and are they easy to change?
eBay Iqbal. Search by your make and model and you'll be good. Check on Wikipedia which platform your Nissan shares with European cars, and you'll find if it's say Micra based then the micra part will fit.
Would a metalic rattle while stopped and braking be a sign of this issue?
No
Excellent video very informative I am sorry to say while I was watching I was trying to work out where that oil leak was from thought at first it was a drive shaft seal then not so sure. please let us know.
Hi
I'm doing this job now and took the subframe to a friend of a friend to push out and push in the new ones
Unfortunately the new ones are to fat to fit in.
Do you have a picture of the bit you had to cut as I'm wondering if the old ones left a bit behind
Turns out the bushes that were supplied we're infact the wrong ones
All done and she's back on her wheels
Hey what are the symptoms that tells you these bushes are bad?
Lots of noise
Nice job.....has given me a good insight.....maybe not as bad as I thought.....got an advisory about my sub frame mounts last MOT....
Can I ask....did you make up the extractor tool yourself and did you use it to install the new ones.
Are those big bushes the main ones to change when the say X member bushes worn.
I have plenty of axle stands and a good high lift trolley jack.
At the dealership we just replace the entire subframe. Runs about $1900.00
Unfortunately that's about half the value of the vehicle used
Dude go ahead and calle a Virgo, bit I think a can of rustoleum right next to you, while you got the whole shit ripped apart, would not be amiss. I mean. Good working practices. Why pass up the oportunity?
Should have just lubed it.....
