I miss seeing all those old trucks out working, massive cb antennas, mechanical diesels. I remember when mack ultraliners were a common sight now hardly see them, still quite a few r models getting around, long live the old iron

Just driven that road today, those trucks and companies bring back many memory’s. My Dad passed away earlier this year and was a truckie from mid 70’s to 2005 when he retired.

Wow so cool seeing those awesome longs
    Units
Brings back memory’s of growing up in Taupo
    Mid to late 80’s
Great times not just the boring freightliners
    Kenworths or western stars
That’s all nz trucking seems to be
Back also when nz was a great place to live
    When trucks were real trucks
    And drivers real drivers
Not the Steerers we have today
    With their stupid yellow H’s
Great vid thanks for the memories

500 V8s were certainly the glory days for Mack.
The 525 was still good, then after Renault and Volvo takeovers , it's been all downhill from there.
