Not to bee overly geeky, Royal Jelly is used to create a new queen bee. If a bee larvae is fed exclusively Royal Jelly it will become a queen. If fed royal jelly along with honey and pollen it will become a worker bee... Also, I'm just getting into Fuzz, and really dig that Vezzpa
Hey guys, Howard Davis was a lead designer for Electro-Harmonix for a while in the 70s/80s and made the original Deluxe Memory Man pedal as well as a ton of others like the Deluxe Big Muff, Attack Decay, and Silencer. He has worked a lot with Pigtronix on pedals like their Disnortion, Rototron, Octava, and Mothership. He worked with J. Rockett on their Clockwork Echo Pedal. And now has collabed with Beetronics on the Fatbee.
This was just incredible in all the ways. Never before have I seen a pedal a pedal more deserving of its name than the Swarm. Y'all's reaction was too good!
Beetronics are absolutely gorgeous, their design aesthetics and build quality are unmatched. I had a Swarm for a bit and really wanted to love it, but it just wasn't my thing. Had to fight myself not to keep it just for the looks. XD
yep. as an ex creative director i love these pedals visually and its almost an afterthought they also happen to sound killer-pun intended-too. tho a couple are too extreme for what i play…but as beautiful pieces of industrial design they’re frickin beautiful.
Got a Royal Jelly about six months ago and into a clean 6v6 tweed amp it's the dirt pedal I've always wanted. Everyone's tastes vary but completely in love with it. The controls seem to be based on a different kind of logic, but it works, and it's built like a steel brick. The EQ controls have a lot of effect on the way the distortion sounds, so you can get from a pretty stoner-fuzz to some rpetty light and subtle stuff.
Beetronics is by far one of the absolute most coolest pedal companies going. Beautiful visual design, clever nomenclature and imaginative, USEFUL sounds.
I think Pete should play a rytmique with the second fuzz and i'm sure it will go fantastic and crazy too. It's a very cool sound. Wonderful video i like that 👍😉
Thanks guys(: maybe Gurus pedals next ?? New guitarist here and these are the pedals I’m into getting. I just have a Yamaha acoustic electric with a 4 12 closed back speaker cab by orange 🍊 and rocking a 15W head. 2nd month and going. This definitely made me 😃. Good job guys
You have some great equipment behind you, it would be great if you could actually demonstrate these pedals etc through a variety of the rigs such as the Orange and Laney not just Victory(although they are amazing).
With those beautiful circuit boards, it would be cool if Beetronics constructed them like a watch with a durable, shatter-proof glass exhibition case back so you can see the board when you turn it over.
I hate fuzz- and I want that Fuzz Harmonizer pedal so bad I can't stand it. Idk if they have a "coolest pedal" of the year award but- this thing should've won it hands down imo. Probably going to pick one up in a few days- Wednesday to be exact. Really shouldn't- I'm building a new board and really fuzz isn't a priority but- man, it looks so fun- I need a break from preamps, compressors, subtle stuff- I want something that excites- this is it. That said- if you don't have an 1176 compressor and a Neve Preamp you can overdrive with it- trust me, get both. You can do everything from Funk and R&B to light break up blues to Black Dog style distortion- and then you can use each independently to achieve endless tones when stacked with other effects. They may be more subtle effects but when you learn how to use them with other stuff and in conjunction with each other- it literally opens up a whole new world. I can't believe all the stuff I'm finding with them- Every Breath you Take all the way to Steve Ray/John Mayer, to old Zepplin- and countless things between. This morning I found Bang a Gong (Get it On) just playing around- sounded just like it. There's a reason you hear about the Neve preamp and 1176 compressor so much- apparently, they've been used by tons of bands and artists for many years. Now we can put them on our pedal board- never been a better time to play imo.
Brett Kingman was playing with a similar fuzz to the 'swarm' recently, it was making all kinds of weird noises, it sounds like R2D2 being electrocuted at times LOL
I feel like I've heard this Swarm on the new Jack White album. It wouldn't surprise me if he has something similar though. Lee's like NOT THE BEEEES and Pete is laughing like a Summerisle resident.
My father is a bee keeper and I eat organic honey 🍯. He plays the 5 string Banjo, and blues harp but doesn't use fuzz. He doesn't smoke, but puts the smoke on the bees. Pete needs a signature DDM Drunken Danish Mead. pedal...
Octave probably gets drowned by the natural harmonics of guitar if tone is all the way open. Tone closed there is more room in the signal for the fuzz octave to buzz through.
Actually- if royal jelly is fed exclusively to a larva- it will become a queen eventually leave with a set of workers to set up a hive of her own. If it's fed a mixture of pollen, honey, and royal jelly- it becomes another worker. So, somehow royal jelly determines sex, among other things- lot easier than having the ole pecker wacked off huh? He wasn't using it anyway. LOL. We should get a jar full and market it to... whoa, my frontal cortex is telling me to stop typing now. The cost benefit analysis has been run and apparently- it aint worth it. Y'all have a good day, I'll leave the porch light on for ya.
Filipe is a dear friend of mine, and I’m so glad his pedals are getting the attention they deserve!
❤️🔥❤️

The Swarm sounds like a weaponized Korg Miku and I'm here for it.

I've just bought one to go with my Mesa Cali Tweed so hoping the same
6:00 “you wound not be able to while playing bend down and fiddle with that knob” - Lee Anderton 2021.
Thank you Sir!
Beetronics is by far one of the absolute most coolest pedal companies going. Beautiful visual design, clever nomenclature and imaginative, USEFUL sounds.
I have absolutely no idea what I would use it for, apart from piss off the neighbors, but I love that swarm pedal!
The Swarm Fuzz Harmonizer made my jaw drop!
I love Your natural outburst of laughter.Because I did it too! This is so much fun 🤘🏿👹😊
Legendary demo. Pete was having the time of his life hahaha.
A vespa is a wasp. The moped is named after the wasp-like sound it makes.
How do you know so much about wasps?
@@jamie2866 I worked in a jam factory

Vespa is wasp in italian 😄
@@andreabarbieri5156and in Portuguese.
When Lee says range instead of product line I throw my cup of tea out the window, every bloooooody time
That fuzz is really something to Beehold! 🐝
big fuzz fan, watched your guys video on Beetronics and Andys. Your video did a lot more to sell me the Swarm than his. Thanks
that swarm pedal might just be the best thing I ever heard a guitar do
I love Beetronics! I didn't like to use fuzz until I got the Swarm.
These guys are one of the most creative and exciting pedal companies right now!!
I think Pete should play a rytmique with the second fuzz and i'm sure it will go fantastic and crazy too. It's a very cool sound. Wonderful video i like that 👍😉
The Swarm reminds me so much of the god that was Tucker and his Lamp Electric Shit Box which remains one of my fav pedals.
Really interesting products. I hope they continue to innovate past fuzz.
The Fat honey is an always on , the Vezzpa is wicked fun ... great vid!
Damn...I f...n love these pedals.Absolute total facemelters.🤘🏿😆🤣👹🤤🤘🏿So much bloody fun.! HellYeah Getcha Pull 🥃🥃 Cheers 🍻
I think I just excreted some royal jelly! Cheers Captain and Pete!!

I have their octohive and it is a very fun pedal.
Beetronics is fast becoming one of the coolest pedal companies I've ever heard/
What do give a bee with untidy hair? A HONEYCOMB..!
Hardy har har😜😁😿😹!!
lol 2 years ago I got the swarm, couldn’t figure it out & sold it. I stumble on this video today and ordered another one.

Another fine video gentlemen.
That swarm! I need it!
swarm is absolutely insane !!
Shouldn't they have BQ rather than EQ?
The coolest things come out of California
So That’s The Buzz, Thank Ya Thank Ya Very Much 👍👍🎶🎶🎸
Petes having Way too much Fun😁!!!
It Beeee happening! Useable fuzz. What a concept
You have some great equipment behind you, it would be great if you could actually demonstrate these pedals etc through a variety of the rigs such as the Orange and Laney not just Victory(although they are amazing).
King Bee is a Slim Harpo song (and also a very early Pink Floyd demo recording)
With those beautiful circuit boards, it would be cool if Beetronics constructed them like a watch with a durable, shatter-proof glass exhibition case back so you can see the board when you turn it over.
They are based in California but the founders are Brazilian ;-)
After watching these guys test guitar gear for years now.......it all pays off at 12:15.
Vezzpa for the win!
I've wanted a Royal Jelly since the first vid I saw one in.
Love my Swarm…. ON BASS!!!!
Can you imagine if King Jimi Hendrix had these or King Page? Absolutely mental!!! Getcha Pull 🥃-CHEERS 🍻
I generally avoid external pedals because of their hiss. How's the white noise / hiss with these pedals?
Anyone know of a fuzz that sounds like Jimi's fuzzface without the price tag?
This is funnier than a fortnight with Julio Iglesias!

Hey Mates from the good ole USA ...
Please hand that Royal Jelly over to Nathan and other Lee. Clean blend, fuzz, overdrive, and knobs they can play with on camera. They'll be so happy.
Octahive is legit it's never coming off my board
Royal Jelly was also the name of a memorable episode of Tales of the Unexpected, starring the lovely Suzzzzzzan George :)
That episode is to this day what I *always* immediately think of when somebody mentions Royal Jelly!
Master, why are the decibels measured? 👀🙌
Hold the phone, Andertons video on Beetronics pedals!
Vespa = Wasp, right?
I really liked that one, but the Fjord Fuzz Odin is still on top of my list, as oct.fuzz’s go!
I feel like I've heard this Swarm on the new Jack White album. It wouldn't surprise me if he has something similar though. Lee's like NOT THE BEEEES and Pete is laughing like a Summerisle resident.
“If Pete strums and I’ll fiddle” ooo errr
Which amp did you use for this demo
Interesting pedals..they sound like fun. Not my cuppa to be honest, but I can see plenty of musos getting some great tones from these!
Damnnnnn, dripping in tone

"I'm covered in bees!"
Slim Harpo was a King Bee. Mick Jagger claimed to be one also, IIRC.
You guys have GOT to do a review of Dr Scientist pedals. They're from Edmonton Alberta and are farting fantastic.
I’ve given that a thumbs up purely for “farting fantastic” 😂
I’ve been looking at getting a Bitquest
The thumbnail tho 😂
🐝🐝🐝
Ya like jazz?
Thanks for showing us what not t to do
22:30 Vezzpa presumably because of the droney buzzing 2 stroke engine noise of a vespa, with the zz/buzz/fuzz meme thrown in to avoid trademarks.
Vespa means wasp in Italian
Vesper Lynd, was the girl that broke Bond's heart when she died..she was THE one!
Is Lee an only child, he’s like my bass playing buddy
Yeah it should of been queen bee side and worker bee side
Fatbee is just like a good amp.
The Swarm reminds me of a EDP Wasp
Sweet
Based on the thumbnail, I figured that only jazz would be played in this whole demo.
Nice
Vespa in italian stands for wasp, there you go, my pleasure, it'll be one Veezpa for me please, thank you very much :)
No one:
Absolutely not a soul:

Its great there are so many pedals available now..but these prices? who is going to spend $300 for an overdrive?

Vespa means wasp in italian and portuguese ;-)
Of course there is a king bee ... it was Slim Harpo 😉
Violet Carpenter Bees. They really are purple
I've got the Buzz
❤️❤️❤️
Royal jelly only gets fed to the would be queen bee
Remember kids: modulate responsibly! :D
Record a track using only the Swarm and a Miku
Sounds like an Atari, neat
Octave probably gets drowned by the natural harmonics of guitar if tone is all the way open. Tone closed there is more room in the signal for the fuzz octave to buzz through.
Ya like jazz?
I need Rabea to have a play with that Swarm pedal.
No, this is not a request!
😠😂
Pretty sure he already has. Check out his channel for the vid.
If you likes these Andertons should start carrying Fuzzrocious pedals!
The swarm reminds me of the EQD Bit Commander…..after being mauled to death by vindictive wasps…..
WHY DOESN'T THE CHALKBOARD SAY _BEE_ NICE
Vespa was a 2 stroke scooter that your honey would ride, weeeen na na na na na na. Cap ask your dad about 2 strokes in the 50s and 60s.
Is there a King Bee? Ask Muddy Waters.
