Its funny, Simmons says "whats the difference between the 10th pick and the 15th pick" but the Celtics picked Terry Rozier 16th and if they had picked 13th, they could've had Devin Booker.
That is actually a big thing for me. I think everyone just started saying the (let me put on my nerd voice here) average expected return for the 12th pick is not great. Well, here's a list of All Stars picked from 11-15 since 2010: 2010: Larry Sanders? (15) 2011: Klay Thompson (11) Kawhi Leonard (15) 2012: Nobody 2013: Giannis Antetokounmpo (15) 2014: Zach LaVine (13) 2015: Miles Turner? (11) Devin Booker (13) 2016: Domantas Sabonis (11) 2017: Malik Monk? (11) Donovan Mitchell (13) Bam Adebayo (14) 2018: SGA (11) Miles Bridges? (12) Michael Porter Jr. (14) 2019: Tyler Herro (13) 2020: Too early to call, but Tyrese Haliburton at 12 looks like a great pick. My point is, we should stop acting surprised when someone gets a star in that range. It's actually more rare that it doesn't happen in a given draft.
It's such a good idea that in their "Top 12 NBA Moments of 2019" pod Bill mentions early that his own best idea of 2019 is suggest they change the rule from 75% to 50%. Russillo's concentrated stare at Bill as he has an idea very similar to his own explained back to him is great.
Watching this in 2023 is wild. The stuff there is referring too but I love it, tho because i remember all of it.. 😂
Who would have known that they end up having a regular podcast together on The Ringer.
I really miss this setting.. these 2 are awesome and i know they still do stuff but the setting was great.
You are a legend of youtube for all these uploads!Your work is much appreciated
Best chemistry. Best Sports podcast.
Look at the 2008 american eagle outfit on Simmons.

Ryan wanting to get rid of the salary rule with trades is a brilliant idea
Michael Eyob agreed...the NBA has a bunch of dumb rules like this that literally no other sport has. It’s funny watching people defend it.

@@davidoconnor2133 It's ok, remember when Ryen explained Bill's own new owner theory to him?
The way these guys have changed
No one had any idea what was coming for the Celtics and what was coming for the league. Also s/o RUclips algorithm
Is it a coincidence that Ryen in wearing a tight short sleeve shirt & holding his hands to increase the flex...lol
The Atlanta/Cavs take aged well!
This almost sounds like listening to a current Bill Simmons podcast..
Man! Bill called it at 57:56...albeit years too early.
Louis ck voice over double
I know who be they self inside of the rules
12:00
You damn drunk lol
That should have kept Wiggins take, hasn't aged well
Mentioning Clint Capela as the example of a shitty d league guy did not age well
Ryen Russilo comes off as like 47% creep.
That's weird. I've listened to him talk for like hundreds of hours, which is weird to type. He's like the most normal dude ever
Tarren Martin lol I agree but watching him laugh is low key creepy and the creepy smiles are what make him appear as a creep.
