@@dave9515you got a good point, the best part of playing Little Mac, Terry, Chrom, and Ike is how easily you can get edge-guarded with their recoveries that don’t snap to the ledge, and characters that need to be a certain distance away like the Pits and Rosa really like having to stall the match (by more precisely timing their Up Bs) in order to recover properly.
I disagree, balancing a character over the fact that they have an easy recovery to exploit feels pretty lazy honestly, and does not even work most of the times.

Okay I _love_ how Ninten gets Hypnosis as a move and that they found a way to make something that isn’t even offense PSI in EBB into an attack, and that the _only_ “actually only other party members learn this in the source game” offense PSI move he gets is the one that’s only in EarthBound Beginnings anyway

this is so cool, seeing all the moded characters makes me wanna mod my switch... i do think Ninten's recovery is kinda broken, being invincible and all, and it also kinda puts a pause in the match while the players wait for him to recover. It could b changed to just a classic teleport up b. But like im not a programer so honestly this is amazing still

Ya think so? I think you’re right but it has great kill potential so that makes up for it. Could be use as a spot dodge counter. I believe there is plenty of potential with it but it has it’s flaws.
@@Shady_Fungus Honestly, I'd then just get rid of the kill potential it has, because no other character in the whole smash roster has air control which 100% matches the joystick inputs for a few seconds. It just feels off and makes the character blend in less and stand out as a modded addition.

I was surprised that Sora Inc. didn’t put Ninten in Smash. That would complete the trifecta of the Mother characters. I also like that Ninten is the power of the three. I kinda expect him to be power seeing his moveset in his game. I think the reason he’s a bit slow is that he’s asthmatic. Once gas related attacks hit him, he’ll become like Superman with kryptonite.
i mean, to people who have never played earthbound he just looks exactly like ness. they're kinda the same character so i dont blame them, i'd prefer if they added another character from the saga like porky

So he’s faced with the similar problem that Ninten have. The only ones that I see as a plausible addition is Poo, Paula, Jeff (from Mother 2), Ana, Lloyd, Teddy (Mother 1), and the other protagonists from Mother 3. So if you have the opportunity to see a new Mother/Earthbound character to be included in Smash, who will you pick from that roster? We need a kung fu master from the Mother series. I’ll say Poo.

it basically does use his PMEX moveset Just 4th-D Slip is less ridiculous in Ultimate (you travel faster and you can cancel out of it with an aerial in a similar manner to G&W's up b) and the side b is PK Beam instead of the Slingshot (in terms of use, PMEX Ninten's Slingshot side b is way better than Ultimate Ninten's PK Beam just being a slower Ness's PK Fire, but activates like Lucas's PK Fire with electric properties)

PK Beam desperately needs better frame data, right now it seems punishable on hit for most percents and appears to have no viable followups which is just tragic for a move which traditionally one-shots most opponents. Kinda surprised they went for just a reflector for his down-B. Yes 'power shield' deals with projectiles, but it also sends back physical attacks as well. I would propose something slightly more functional to give ninten more nuance by giving it more of a counter functionality. If ninten is hit while the power shield is active, it cancels the hitbox and pulses one of its own, dealing minimal damage but flinching the opponent long enough for ninten to follow up quickly with another attack, sort of like an anti-combo-breaker tool.
Ninten should've been in Smash Ultimate to complete the trio This and PMEX (which is where the moveset is based on for Ultimate mod for Ninten) proves it's possible to make a way more unique 3rd PSI fighter from EarthBound. Especially if everyone's just chill with Star Fox having 3 spacies that share similar moves (the PSI fighters would even be more unique from each other than all of the spacies/Star Fox fighters to be frank) And yes, Ninten's up air should be able to dragdown and if you guys haven't figured out, Ninten's up smash is basically a combo starter, you can up smash into whichever aerial you can combo into Will say though, this Ultimate mod version of Ninten is kinda tamer than PMEX Ninten (like his up b being faster and less laggy as well as being able to cancel out of it with an aerial like G&W up b)

I dont have a switch with the ability to run mods. I know nothing about the mods. I was wondering can you have multiple modded characters (like Ninten, or vegeta, or Alucard) all active at the same time or do you have to reboot the game to access the characters each time?

Guys .. is it possible to teach us how to add character slots? I've seen in gamebanana are a bunch of tutorials, but for me that I've been moving the basic mods and music is totally a mess hahahah
This one is just barely my favorite version of the PSI kids. I love the use of the bat and, while the magical attacks are less interesting visually, they still have great concepts just like the other two and fit him. The invincible up special and PK Sleep might be a little lacking in counterplay though, lmao.
I wish that Nintendo would have put as much effort into Lucas as the modders did to Ninten. Lucas can't use a single PSI ability that he does in smash lol
I also wouldn't mind his Final Smash being the 8 Melodies with PK Beam Omega taking what Ness and Lucas had for their Final Smashes. It would have Ninten, Ana and Lloyd sing the song with Ninten playing his Flute/Ocarina as a nice detail and the notes will be the 8 Melodies, it would be a Cutscene Final Smash to differ from Ness and Lucas' where they fire PK Beam Omega along with multiple PK Beam shots that acts similar to Ness and Lucas' Final Smash in Smash 4, with a Powerful Shot to knock Foes away. Thankfully Kazuya has a similar Final Smash can have the Cutscene happen before the move comes out so I decided to have it be the same for Ninten.
If Ninten did got in to Smash: Stage: The Stage will be Mt.Itoi which will be a Traveling Stage where you move around towards the Melody Locations as you'll see the Party Members that Ninten has Tagged along throughout his Journey. Music: For Ninten, I decided to go for 3-5 Tracks, 3 being New Remixes. ● Battle Against a Dangerous Foe (New Remix) ● 8-16 Melodies (New Remix) Earthbound Beginnings/Earthbound/ Mother 3 ● Credits theme from Earthbound Beginnings (New Remix) ● Porky Means Business (Original) ● Strong One (Original)
If Ninten got to Smash Part 2: Ninten's Classic Mode Route: For Ninten's Classic Mode Route will be called Gathering the 8 Melodies which will be based on the 8 Melodies that Ninten has to collect in the game. It would also be a reference to how the Mother series revolves around collecting pieces such as the Melodies from Earthbound Beginnings, The Your Sanctuary locations in Earthbound and the Needles in Mother 3 followed by the final round being against a Blue Mewtwo on Final Destination with Master Hand similar to the end of Pikachu's Classic Mode Route.

Mother isn't a popular enough franchise. It's got a cult-like fanbase but it's not close to most other smash franchises with more than one two fighters. Tbh there are significantly more popular franchisees with less so I'd be happy with two. I mean Sonic still is just sonic
Bro's gotta balance that neutral special -> up special 😆😆 Ninten shouldn't be able to act after using either up special or neutral special, meaning he shouldn't be able to combo into both, and not use up special as a recovery after using neutral special, really just cause both attacks are pretty good, so KOs when using those techniques should feel more earned. Also, that back air has WAY too much launch power behind it, considering how fast it comes out 😆😆
He looks like a Neutral take on the Earthbound roster. very interesting playstyle. nothing too crazy, but nothing that would make you think he breaks the game.

side b is slow with absolutely no reward for hitting it since its so weak, up b straight up leaves you vulnerable, mere luck if you manage to hit someone twice with it. other than that i think its solid, like the neutral b is honestly a solid option for edgeguarding off stage vulnerable opponents. just needs some serious tweaking

I think Ninten is a well polished character. Totally can seem him as a regular in this game and his moveset looks and would probably feel good.

How did u download this mod? I have it but it soesnt work, nstead of the option to play as Ninten appearing, when I play with Ness the PSI effects disappear. How can i make this mod work?
I dont have a switch with the ability to run mods. I know nothing about the mods. I was wondering can you have multiple modded characters (like Ninten, or vegeta, or Alucard) all active at the same time or do you have to reboot the game to access the characters each time?

You would love Project M. There is at least a skin mod for most characters people want but popular ones like skull kid do have movesets
Guys .. is it possible to teach us how to add character slots? I've seen in gamebanana are a bunch of tutorials, but for me that I've been moving the basic mods and music is totally a mess hahahah

They've been doing it for a while. A few HDR characters were PM ports or heavily based on PM (Ganon and Lucario)
The only problem is many characters are being ported without crediting the original people who made the movesets to begin with.
This one is just barely my favorite version of the PSI kids. I love the use of the bat and, while the magical attacks are less interesting visually, they still have great concepts just like the other two and fit him. The invincible up special and PK Sleep might be a little lacking in counterplay though, lmao.
But how we can get ninten?
I wish that Nintendo would have put as much effort into Lucas as the modders did to Ninten. Lucas can't use a single PSI ability that he does in smash lol

His final smash should be PK beam omega
I also wouldn't mind his Final Smash being the 8 Melodies with PK Beam Omega taking what Ness and Lucas had for their Final Smashes. It would have Ninten, Ana and Lloyd sing the song with Ninten playing his Flute/Ocarina as a nice detail and the notes will be the 8 Melodies, it would be a Cutscene Final Smash to differ from Ness and Lucas' where they fire PK Beam Omega along with multiple PK Beam shots that acts similar to Ness and Lucas' Final Smash in Smash 4, with a Powerful Shot to knock Foes away. Thankfully Kazuya has a similar Final Smash can have the Cutscene happen before the move comes out so I decided to have it be the same for Ninten.
If Ninten did got in to Smash:
Stage: The Stage will be Mt.Itoi which will be a Traveling Stage where you move around towards the Melody Locations as you'll see the Party Members that Ninten has Tagged along throughout his Journey.
Music: For Ninten, I decided to go for 3-5 Tracks, 3 being New Remixes.

Ninten's Classic Mode Route: For Ninten's Classic Mode Route will be called Gathering the 8 Melodies which will be based on the 8 Melodies that Ninten has to collect in the game. It would also be a reference to how the Mother series revolves around collecting pieces such as the Melodies from Earthbound Beginnings, The Your Sanctuary locations in Earthbound and the Needles in Mother 3 followed by the final round being against a Blue Mewtwo on Final Destination with Master Hand similar to the end of Pikachu's Classic Mode Route.

Mother isn't a popular enough franchise. It's got a cult-like fanbase but it's not close to most other smash franchises with more than one two fighters. Tbh there are significantly more popular franchisees with less so I'd be happy with two. I mean Sonic still is just sonic

Ninten shouldn't be able to act after using either up special or neutral special, meaning he shouldn't be able to combo into both, and not use up special as a recovery after using neutral special, really just cause both attacks are pretty good, so KOs when using those techniques should feel more earned. Also, that back air has WAY too much launch power behind it, considering how fast it comes out 😆😆

side b is slow with absolutely no reward for hitting it since its so weak, up b straight up leaves you vulnerable, mere luck if you manage to hit someone twice with it. other than that i think its solid, like the neutral b is honestly a solid option for edgeguarding off stage vulnerable opponents. just needs some serious tweaking
Up B is really broken as a recovery tool, dunno what you are talking about. Side B is mid though agreed

It's bittersweet, he is so unpolished and I hate mods but Ness and Lucas really should have gotten an echo.
Why do you hate mods 💀. It's very cool to see people's creativity, a lot of smart programming knowledge goes into figuring this stuff out.
