There's a glitch in stage builder that allows solving this actually! When i stumbled upon this idea a few years ago, i realized that zigzags can get really big if squished down a rail could work too, but having two sections of wall tends to lead to more glitches in my experience

Sora’s down smash should’ve spiked. The final DLC fighter not having a spike, and even worse, SORA, not having a spike is just disrespectful. Even a spike with pit levels of strength would’ve been acceptable. I know he has insane aerial recovery but he moves very slowly, both grounded and aerial. So he should have gotten a spike. So stupid

The spike blast zone is higher than the normal one? I never knew that. I always looked at myself getting spiked and thought "it's no way I died from that I've recovered from lower than that before" like I've seen my character just spawn out of existence from a spike that shouldn't have killed me. But if spikes have a separate blast zone that makes so much sense. Why would they do that?
The craziest thing is that there was a demonstration with Fox getting spiked and he died from the higher spike blastzone from 0% -14%, but LIVED from 15% to 40%. And at +40% he dies again... It also has to do with the character being in tumble animation or not
An interesting idea for a twist on this would be to remove the platform and just keep bouncing on the lava, only killing opponents with spike hitboxes. You could have a respawning platform occasionally to give players the opportunity to get their jump back as well

There was this game on Xbox (Def Jam) that I loved to play because of its KO mechanic: you couldn't win by landing a weak blow that chipped away the remaining HP. Instead, you'd be put in a state where any powerful or flashy move could KO you. After a bit of time, you'd be put out of that state if you managed to survive. That mode reminds me of that. I wanted to see so badly a smash mode where you have to land a good blow to win. This is amazing!
@@meta04 No. Smash has little mac, ganondorf, doc, roy, chrom, ike... So many characters you can gimp: in smash, for those characters, being hit offstage by the weakest move often means death.

As a Riddles fan and Shoto player myself, its sad to see when you're really good with a character but the only thing that made you lose was a misinput, whether from the game or player error.
His up b spike is very weak and would only work on the bottom. His down air also only spikes at around like 135-150 percent.though the lava would help with damaging them enough for Kirby's down air to spike.
The Diddy-ganon matchup is indeed very rough, his only tools that really get diddy out of rushdown mode, are up air and jab and heavier reads in down tilt nair and ftilt. Most heavier reads and punishes can be out-framed and out-spaced easily by diddy and monkey flip has weird interactions with up and side b making them way less safe to use. off topic, but I wonder how Sora would fair in this mode with ladder combos, given he doesn't have a raw meteor or spike.

I thought this was gonna be a mod showcase, but no. You can make this game mode real in the base game.
As always, music selection is absolutely on point.

This wouldn't work because when the spawned stage falls, it won't disappear, it'll just stay on the lava.

There are already custom stages completely boxed in with wormholes or cannons on the top to enable entry but not exit

Sounds similar to how boss fights worked in KH2. You had to hit a finisher or use magic to finish off bosses
