Scammers typically target the elderly and attempt to steal money by several means.
1. Your Bank Saving or Checking accounts
2. Investment accounts or 401k retirement funds
3. Credit and Debit cards
4. Purchasing Gift cards
5. Cash withdrawls
6. Cryptocurrency
Scammers are ruthless criminals that have no problem stealing every last dime from their victims bank accounts. Please protect yourself as well as family members who might not be familiar with these type of scams.

Heroes don't cry
When a victim asks who to believe…. believe the person who isn’t asking for money.
That always gets to me. On one hand someone trying to take money and the other trying to save there money and they can't figure it out. I don't understand why they can't figure it out.
@@byrd5163my dear, scammers too start engaging with us saying they are helping us. Trust me, I was scammed and hence I am here to learn how not to be a victim again!! It is scary that they have my info and they keep coming back to me in different ways, they are!!
@@byrd5163it's actually understandable. They usually only question his intentions the first few moments of the conversation because they all of a sudden have someone they don't know telling them to hang up with the scammer... who they think they can trust, probably because they just assume he's someone trying to steal their business. It's very smart that he tells them about his RUclips channel where they can verify his identity and his voice on the phone will also match his voice on the channel. But I would have questions too the first few minutes of being told many years ago that I was being scammed.
@@byrd5163 Exactly the same reason why they get scammed in the first place... Naivety and technical illiteracy get people in so much trouble.
Please shut up, you’re not above this
It really pisses me off when the police don't do anything about these scammers. Pierogi is the real hero here.
Exactly I mean do any of these Scammers actually get arrested? Or are they not prosecutable coz the victims handed over money of their own free will?
@@susanmargaretwills6432 The police in the countries where the scammers operate out of often either don't care, or are on the scammers payroll.
Law enforcement have to operate somewhat within the law. When a person signs paperwork to send the money to a scammer or it is them, sending the money from their IP address, it makes it hard to prosecute. Most scammers are outside of the country where they scam people from. International laws make it even harder. It's very time consuming, by the time the scammer is tracked down, the money is gone & scammers sometimes go into hiding if they feel that someone is too close for their comfort in tracking them down.
Pierogi dedicates his time to one thing - thwarting scammers, wasting their time, exposing them. It's somewhat rare, however, Pierogi sometimes gets the money back.
A police force in any country has to deal with so many different crimes other than cyber-crimes.
It's a really good thing that many RUclipsrs are doing what police have far less time to do.
Police actually have no jurisdiction over this kind of thing unfortunately. I worked in banking for a few years. If someone signs of consents to something, there is nothing law enforcement can do. Most scammers are outside the U.S and cannot do anything. Also, law enforcement in other countries don't do anything either. We do need a dedicated scammer sort of law enforcement.
A big scam call center gives money to the police to look the other way, there's a video on here that shows a police officer pulling up to the call centers building and he picks up a bag or backpack and leaves. Most likely payment to look the other way. Sometimes even the cops are criminals too, unfortunately

It makes me so angry to see people say anyone who falls for a scam deserves it. NOBODY deserves to lose their hard earned money. So many people are ruined financially and especially when it’s the elderly, it’s so hard to get that money back and you need that money to survive. Scammers are evil people who don’t care that they are ruining the lives of innocent people.

It's just hard trying to figure out how anyone would think it makes any sense that you'd need to buy $2400 in GIFT CARDS to pay off a debt of $293 to Norton. How could anyone possibly think that large corporations would accept payment in Amazon gift cards?
I walked in on my mom getting scammed on her phone the other day. Told her it was a scam and didn't believe me. This work is incredible because the police cannot find the person sitting behind a computer. Scamming is so prevalent because our federal bureaus are flooded. This team needs to be a funded agency. Great great work.

@@snowiecore Or the temporarily vulnerable (medical issue, emotional stress), which is something that could happen to anyone from an accident or legal trouble/family loss. The best counter to scammers is empathy and education for their favored victims.
I mean they are but it’s not meant to be rude, older people are less knowledgable on newer tech also going for people who have disabilities or lack of perception. It’s why they spell things wrong and are very obvious with their scams because they don’t want the average person. They target specifically the vulnerable people
All media outlets should flood every outlet with warnings about these kinds of scams. There is not enough done.
The government doesn't do enough either. They'll send billions to fight a proxy war with Russia over a territory the CIA instigated problems but they won't press India politically, use that same CIA to go after scammers, etc.

Social Security, tax accounts should join in and warn Americans.
Most leftist media today all they do is focusing on bashing conservative they can careless what happens to these victims.
I wish someone was there to protect my father. They stole 10k from a 72 yo retired man that lives on the little social security he gets. They stole his savings and threatened his life and that of his family if he told anyone. By the time we found out, the money was gone. He filed a report with our local authorities and they did nothing. It saddens me deeply to see how cruel and hallow people can be, resorting to stealing from the elderly and robbing them of everything they possess out of sheer greed. I have never heard my father cry and that day was one I will never forget.
That’s heartbreaking
Maybe you should protect him, he did for you when you were younger. Law enforcement is not going to do it. The Supreme Court says they have no obligation to protect anyone, even if they have a protective order. Ask the cops in Uvalde Texas
@@walkingdeadman4208 I've done everything in my power to protect him. Unfortunately, the damage had already been done two weeks before he finally came clean about the entire situation. He was scared for his life and his family. Another issue was that the money taken couldn't be tracked by the bank or authorities because my father had willingly given it to them. Or so I was led to believe.
The best way I can protect him was to educate him on what to do, what to avoid, and to always keep his family informed. I also gave him all I had in savings which covered half of his losses. He of course didn’t want to burden me for his mistakes but eventually and begrudgingly, he accepted.
Protecting the elderly is a noble act. I am glad there are people like you guys out there doing gods work. Keep it up
I don't know why the FBI or CIA doesn't either (a) hire you to do this work or (b) hire you to train their employees. We need to have about 10,000 more of you out there.
You are correct they need to develop a department just for that it's a big issue!
Government does not care when individuals get scammed. They only care when big companies get scammed
The problem with that is that the FBI, CIA and Homeland Security just can't do this (publicly) cause of juridical reasons.. But in the dark they may be investigating this matter.. I do agree the Government can low key fund this without the backlash from the India Government.. Why not fund this matter in the dark? They fund a lot of other stuff in the dark.. This will save least a lot of Americans if not all..
Because he’s funding it himself right now why would they give away their budget when they do it on their own. Our government doesn’t care

I am sat here in tears. Scammers took over $137,000 dollars from my 81 yo mother. She worked her whole life delivering newspapers in the middle of the night to have most of that money. The rest we are still struggling to payoff because, once they broke her, they convinced her to open a $30,000 credit line at Bank of America. When she got home from the bank, she called the scammers to use some of that credit to make a payment to them. They told her that tge card was declined. Further investigation showed that the entire balance had been cleared before she had even left the bank by a third party. Obviously, the third party is in cahoots with the scammers, but they took a stance that they would help her get that mobey back for a $1200 fee. She paid that in installments out of her social security check, which is now her only income, and her only money.

Watching them get emotional gets me every time. Especially P. He cares so much you can feel it.
This video is profound and quite emotional. It's cruel what these scammers do to unsuspecting individuals. I admire your dedication to protect people and help those who've already fallen victims to such scams.
Such a good feeling to know that there are still good people in the world. Because once you've been scammed you trust no one and start think the worst of all people. You guys restore faith in humanity. Thank you for everything you do.
Nice approach to squat down to take a position that is not above the victim to help calm her down.
Excellent work. Very happy to have you out there protecting Americans and others from scams.
You can tell he's so passionate about what he does, it really affects him and it's endearing to see. He is a genuine soul and we need more people like him on this planet. Thank you Pierogi. This video genuinely made me cry.
The amount of joy that woman had in her voice when Pierogi changed his voice to Vivian…. Really no words necessary
I loved her little "oh woo-oow"...the way she said it was so cute lol
All of you guys who spend your time helping people not get scammed are the unsung heroes of the internet and we are all better because of your cause. Thank you for saving people from terrible situations.
Criminality IS a word!
...and you've used it correctly.
This is your only video that brought this 50 year old man to tears. God bless the Scammer Payback team. Keep it up. You're an inspiration for us amateurs.
As an Indian it's very disheartening to see such selfish Indian scammers, i just want to say that you are doing the right thing by exposing these people and i would even like to say that India is a beautiful country, please don't think we are a bad country just because of these scammers ,majority of us are filled with emotions we aren't heartless like these scammers . I hope you do not think anything bad about our country......Love from India ❤
❤ I think every ethnicity has bad apples, but it doesn't mean they are all bad. ❤
India has amazing people and an amazing millennia old culture.
Also the Indian food is just legendary!
The problem is that there’s no true form of government that pretends these scams from happening.
The authorities don’t care or are even in on in.
The bosses never get arrested because the politicians and police chiefs are often friends with those rich people and even get donations from them!
This means police and politicians profit from the scamming and the stolen money goes directly into their pockets!
This needs to stop and the disgusting politicians and police officers that benefit from it need to go to jail for a long time!
Unfortunately India is to big, poor and corrupt to prevent those things from happening..
This means the bad apples will continue to poison the well for everyone else, which makes me angry for all the good upstanding Indian people!
They don’t deserve it to be thrown into one pot with those disgusting scammers!
It must be tricky to be a legitimate Indian person trying to work or grow business in the West.
It’s the same wherever you go, good and evil in all races, no matter which country we all live in, greetings from Scotland.
honest question why do you think such a vast amount of people in your country like this? like people dont want to believe your all bad but india is the source of such an overwhelming amount of cons, scams, etc. what makes that place different that drives so many to resort to such careless acts
That is really cool that you let this couple send him a message. Blessings on all of you.
I love this guy he stops so many scammers it makes me feel so good that people are getting saved 😊
After hearing that woman saying she wanted to check out I wonder how many lives you've actually saved. After someone is taken for everything its a real consequence. Dude I'm in absolute awe of your teams work.
Probably more than one
“Criminality” is a word, and that was a correct use of it.
Hahaha for once I read the comments before making a comment myself. Not that they'd mind me repeating what you said.
Beautiful souls, thank you to the entire Scammer Payback Team
You guys are genuinely amazing people and so are the ones in this community. You rock, sincerely.
Just keep fighting, man. Save the ones you can to make up for the ones you couldn’t.
New scammer idea: getting added to a victim's list (without actually being a victim) and then getting a refund from Pierogie.
@SoyAntonioGaming Nice try Scammer, the problem with that is that Pierogi has the list of people that been scammed.. You guys really do think you are more clever than everyone? But you are not..
Too bad you can't save everyone
I was just recently scammed, and i am super internet savvy. These scammers are getting better and better at their "craft. ".... luckily, i caught the scam before things got bad, but i think of what if that had happened to my mom, who is 83. Scares me and makes me so angry. These people are RUTHLESS.
can you explain how it happened?
Eric.coding
Jerks is a sanitised description of the scammers. It is a great thing you and your team members do.
Watching this I was very emotional. Such a noble deed you are doing
Watching from the UK, had a scam call myself the other day and called them out as scammers- obviously they hung up. How many Indians do you know called Sarah ?? 😂You guys are absolute legends 👍🏻
I like how they don't seem to know they have strong Indian accents 😂
The way that lady said " Waaaoooow" at the end really made me giggle like a child, great stuff
Scammers are the scum of the earth. They hounded my mother for years. She was 80+ years old. Luckily she asked about it before they got money from her. I was able inform her about the scams they were trying to pull. But the bastards were relentless and kept calling her for years. Thanks for all you do for shutting them down. Much respect.
Your teams are absolutely AWESOME!!!!!!! Thank you for keeping regular folk safe from these horrid scammers!
Pierogi’s blue hair is the glow he gets from saving a victim
it grows even more blue each time they win :)
I remember the day it happened, it was magical!
Everytime he transforms into a Super Saiyan God
Just like Goku Ultra Instinct ❤
Before we know it, Pierogi's hair will become red, specifically Gogeta SSJ4 red
The work you do is in the same boat as the men and women who fight to end human trafficking. A great need and a noble path
You guys are the best! Those tears are righteous tears. God Bless you and your team.
I am waiting at the doctors office and heard the same conversation in the lobby that this one woman was having and i typed out on my phones note pas “if they sound Indian Hang UP they are trying to scam you!” and she did just that and hung up as she was arguing that she only paid for a year and didn’t owe them any more money!!! Feels good to save people from scams!
Bro, I work at a customer service line for a bank and whenever I hear from our customers they've been ask to use anydesk I directly warn them about what really is going on and even advise them to not trust google results for contact info because of the ads. It's not much but every little help is worth the effort, all this thanks to your channel❤.
The problem is, they will be asked to use Anydesk while the sammers are trying to scam them. So most of the time, they will make sure the victims don't talk to you, until the scam is over. I don't know if it is possible, but I guess it would be better to proactively warn the customers, before they even have heard of it. Please don't take that as hate, it is great that you try your best to warn people of stuff like that.
I been scammed once for something stupid like this before...We ALL need a guardian Angel
I felt these victim's words and emotions, when I got scammed I wish I could be a burning candle so I could meltdown and disappear. Those scammers doesn't really have no souls at all. Thank you for what you do, I feel like I already got my revenge everytime you pissed them off or saved another victim ❤
I imagine your stress levels are through the roof... you're empathetic and just a great guy. Thanks man, really.
I can’t imagine how difficult this is for you, but please don’t stop trying to protect these innocent people from being scammed. You are one of the good people we need more of in this world. Thank you for all you do. ❤
