Probably a bit of a controversial take, but this show had my all-time FAVOURITE depictions of the Mad Hatter and March Hare. Being a kids show, they needed to portray the two's eccentrics without having them come off as insane, and I think they managed to pull it off in a way that made the two just silly and eccentric enough to not only not be annoying, but also help them stand out in a cast of other eccentrics.
And I can confirm it's 100% real. I remember watching this on regular (not cable) TV as a kid. The Mad Hatter was always the stand out character for me.
That feeling when you realize an obscure TV show you just remembered that you watched influenced your idea of Wonderland more than any movie... RIP Armelia McQueen
Well, you can check this one off the list, because on Friday, April 30th, it's coming to Disney Plus in the USA!!! EDIT: Right now, only the first season has been confirmed to be added. Don't know about the remaining seasons, but it's pretty doubtful so far. You'll have to resort to TeaForTen for those episodes.
I'd also like to point out, this scene changes March Hare's "now that we're friends, we'll hold it for you" from a joke about him misunderstanding a turn of phrase into some real thug shit.
Adventures in Wonderland feels like LazyTown on acid and I am so here for it. Also I am now aware that Wonderland might've been my friend's older siblings LazyTown and that upsets me immensely because I would've loved to have this show as well when I was little.
The show is now officially on Disney plus!!! There are 99 out of the 100 episodes, I'm assuming they left off the OJ Simpson one. It's so crazy to finally see this show in such clarity after watching episodes on RUclips all these years, or on the VHS tapes.
When I was a very small child OJ before the “incident” came to a party my uncle threw and gave all of us kids actual ninja weapons; this was the second strangest thing he’d done until I found out about this.
I had completely forgotten this existed but the minute I saw the rabbit on roller blades I had such a visceral flashback to watching this as a kid. Remembering this feels like realizing I was watching Candle Cove.
Same. My chest got tight as it triggered the deep, deep down repressed anxiety of mentally preparing to go to the hellscape of 6th grade…..at 5AM….in the pitch black winter mornings.

I have no idea how I forgot it so thoroughly.

I have seen every Alice adaptation under the sun (with an English translation available) and this one remains one of my favorites - the episodes were always so creative without undermining the source material. They never lose the “whimsy” and nonsense even though they made very cohesive storylines
Me before watching the video: Wow, I've never heard of this show, but that puppet Cheshire Cat and White Rabbit guy look creepy. Me after watching the video: *MUST BREAK INTO DISNEY VAULT TO GRAB OJ EPISODE NOW*
The White Rabbit was actually one of the more fun and relatable characters, but the Cheshire Cat puppetry was a little creepy, certainly. Especially how he was fading in and out of places, and the interactions with the Cat always seemed... off somehow (Which was due to the green screening. The cat was never actually present on set during principal filming so the actors had to take the cue of basically 'the cat is floating up around here' and act to the air, so that's probably why).
I've been watching this show on Disney+ recently, and it's really good. So I believe that the unaired episode is also the show's one episode to not be on Disney+, since it's locked away in the Disney Vault forever.
I used to love this show. Absolutely deserves the high honor of fitting reasonably into a description that includes "alongside Kermit the Frog and Mr. Rogers."

Dogs are better. You come home to a dog and that's the high point of its day, you get so much love and attention from a dog.
Although cats are better if you're gone most of the day... leaving a dog alone every day while you go to work is just cruel.
Probably a bit of a controversial take, but this show had my all-time FAVOURITE depictions of the Mad Hatter and March Hare. Being a kids show, they needed to portray the two's eccentrics without having them come off as insane, and I think they managed to pull it off in a way that made the two just silly and eccentric enough to not only not be annoying, but also help them stand out in a cast of other eccentrics.
oh yeah they're totally the best mad hatter and march hare of all tine

"Shows I Wish Was Available for FREE" to mine.
@@EntertainmentFan11 It’s out now, and it turns out that all 99 episodes are on Disney+! (All put under one season weirdly enough)

I'd also like to point out, this scene changes March Hare's "now that we're friends, we'll hold it for you" from a joke about him misunderstanding a turn of phrase into some real thug shit.
OMG.
Adventures in Wonderland feels like LazyTown on acid and I am so here for it.
Also I am now aware that Wonderland might've been my friend's older siblings LazyTown and that upsets me immensely because I would've loved to have this show as well when I was little.
Ok but the invisible character Pinniped is a pun on Pinnipedia, the scientific name for seals and walruses. 10/10

I hope there's an online wiki dedicated exclusively to sea mammals that's also called Pinnipedia.

Let's give a big round of applause to the people who did upload episodes on here to help keep the show's memory alive!
The high quality was insane my eyes had to adjust to it.
When I was a very small child OJ before the “incident” came to a party my uncle threw and gave all of us kids actual ninja weapons; this was the second strangest thing he’d done until I found out about this.

Hearing the White Rabbit’s costume described as a fursuit was certainly an experience.
is it not though? even whats most commonly known as a "fursuit" is in fact a costume. its a suit made of synthetic fur, ergo a fursuit.

I thought that 2010s Alice wasn’t dark enough and that’s why it didn’t live to its potential. 😂 It seemed too family friendly posing as “dark” by using a dark-toned palette and having Avril Lavigne sing a song.

Guys you don’t understand. I watched this show. But at the very edge of my memory. I seriously thought it was a fever dream or a delusion. I was born on or abouts when this show first aired. This is mind boggling to me. It means what I think are my very earliest memories actually are.
This is very cool and weird.
I had the same reaction until I saw the op on RUclips a few years ago.

Oh I understand completely! This is definitely one of my earliest memories looking at it again for the first time in 25 years is so surreal to me. This is one of those things that I never actively watched but I remember a trip to the hospital where the Waiting room TV was playing some weird Alice in Wonderland adaptation.

The music really messed with my head because you said this was a 90s show, but the music is *very* 80s.
It all made sense when you said a guy from Devo did the music.
Well, _Rugrats_ was a 90's/early 00's cartoon & it too has 1980's references (Barbie parody Cynthia, contemporary Godzilla knock-off Reptar, the _Vacation_ special used the song from the Go-Gos, Angelica sang a rework of the Blondie song "One Way or Another" in the first theatrical movie released in 1998, etc.), so...
I suppose it's a bit of culture lag. The 80's carried on into 1992 or so.
@@RodBeauvex To be fair, much of the aesthetics & attitudes from both "decades of excess" haven't left, as exhibited by the comebacks/returns of multiple 80's-90's trends & rebooting/rehashing/retelling/reusing of several of our generation's brands/franchises/properties across the board.
