The Mysterious Erawan Shrine Four Faced Buddha.
if you have been to Bangkok, you would know this famous landmark in Bangkok.
everyday thousands or even tenths of thousand of people from around the world visits the Four Face Buddha.
You might not know the actual story & legend of why people across the world to visit this shrine,
even as having tour group that organize it specifically to this shrine.
People who have had wishes or have no luck in business or their career came to make their wish,
and rumour says many of them came true.

there are some rules or terms and condition that needs to be note.
How it Began
The Background story is that back then there is a hotel behind the shrine.
They were building the hotel, but obstacles keep coming and many bad things happen,
stopping it from completion.
After that they were told to build a shrine infront of the hotel,
specifically a shrine for the four face buddha.
after that the hotel got into completion very soon.
My friend’s wish actually came true
I have heard many stories from my friends throughout the years about making a wish here
and how it came true.
I have this friend who was doing so bad in his life, his career was nothing but jobless.
He came to the shrine and made a wish,
years later he became filthy rich,
he got a big house now, a bmw and his salary is considered to be one of the highest in the country for his industry.
It became super famous among the Chinese
So, why specifically it is famous among Chinese.
It is rumoured that Nicolas Tse’s Mother, Deborah.
Back then she was struggling with her career in the entertainment industry.
She went to worship the four face buddha in Erawan Shrine and made a wish.
Years later she became super famous and was one of the top in Hong Kong’s entertainment industry.
Here is how it got super super interesting.
She went back to return her wish by offering a strip dance with black clothes covering the entire shrine.
This rumour was spread in the Chinese community across the world,
today you will even spot chinese celebrities visiting the shrine from time to time.
Tips on Making Wish
As much as how well dreams come true with your wishes here,
it is believed that, you have to make your wish very specific,
for example, number specific, time frame specific and so on.
And to make your wish more important,
You would want to give a promise of what you have to offer if your wish comes true.
It is super important to remember what you wish for,
because you will need to return your promise as soon as your wish is granted.
It is believed that the four face buddha is very powerful,
he can grant wishes at the same time can also take it away from you.

When I was in a temple in Thailand, I bought a four face Buddha necklace from the temple and was told to make wishes before giving it to the monk to do some chants over it. I wished to do good in school, healthy family, and other but I also wished for my boyfriend to stay in my future forever. But a few months later we are no longer together. Could this be the four face Buddha showing me that we are not a good match for the future?

@@TheCottonChannel Hello, I understand I cam buy the offering thre with few choices of how much it is. I mean how to start the pray? How do I know which is the 1st face? So I go from 1st to 4th face then come back to 1st face again? But the offerings are all offered at each face? Actually not the first time to erawan shrine, been twice but never to pray just for sight seeing.

Erawan is Lord Brahma but fondly known as the Compassionate Bodhisatva or Ariavalokitesatva. Lord Brahma's fifth head was cut off by Lord Shiva and hence known as the Four faced Buddha.

How to pray four face buddah
its pretty straight forward if it is a normal prayer. Just go in each face starting from the front face. If you are making wishes, then it would be different.
That is not the Lord Buddha!!!
