SO i was there, on the lest of the video, right on the edge, and at 9:00 mins in, you can hear me yell "LAMB FOR LIFE!!" and then at the end she points to me and winks and lips "love you dahhhling" it was the BEST moment of my life!
Slightly more than a decade ago, people started saying Mariah lost her voice, but a few years later, she impressed everyone with The Emancipation of Mimi. And then when everyone thought that she couldn't belt high anymore (and could only depend on her whistle register) a few years back, she then shocked everyone (and Barrack Obama) with her new christmas songs. So we should just wait for her to make another great comeback, and I hope it won't take long :)
And then those assholes will cry when the time of her death comes

I hate that she had sound issues this whole performance. Thank god she got a new team in 2015. She had many sound issues 2012-2014. And who cares if she lips, her voice can never be duplicated/imitated. 2019riah sounds flawless though 😍😂
yes her voice is really improving! she did an amazing job at the end of we belong together and added some runs, pour thing was outta breath. she has worked super hard to get to this point in her life so if she wanna have the diva moment so be it. and after 22 years of singing the way she dose its natural for any singer to sound diffrent! so all u so call fans please go somewhere sit down and be still! that fine ass lady still got it!

Glad she fired her team because they got paid to make these type of issues happen with sound and promotion and basically they made her look foolish especially with the mic feed incident that everyone paints as her vocal status entirely, when about 2 weeks later she slated 6 sold out shows in New York and is currently shutting it down on tour.
but we won't talk about that because this is how everyone wants to remember Mariah while talentless new artists dominate so easily the music industry that once was a big feat and accomplishment yet no longer is.

the last note was wow !!!! never heard it that way before you heard the vibrato other performances you hear it fade into a straight not it was live.
Man that last run on we belong together was so full sounding. she aint held that note like that in a while* she was a lil sick from rehearsing in the rain and still killed it* i can imagine the next performance to be that much better* L4L
NO real lambs support there shepherd no matter what she may do, if mariah lip syncs then let her, she's Mariah and we don't question, we cheer!!!!!

I'm freaking sick and tired of your little effort to give a good live performance. I've always been understanding ALL these years. You have one of the most beautiful personalities and yet u INSIST on portraying your fake, self-centered side. U ARE funny, we love it, just cut the DIVA thing, it's not relatable and boring for some of us.
Oh please, because she's a legend, it means she always has to sound phenomenal? I'm sorry, but she really still sounds better than an average singer, and much much better than a normal person. Her WBT still sounds awesome.

I already explained in another post that I was referring to the Triumphant performance especially and that I was just having a tuntrum after 22 years of incesant support to her. I love this woman to pieces. After her jazzy performances she got me back in.

I think that, despite all of the criticism, the point is that she's trying. And where she loses some strength (chest/belting voice), she gains it in a new area (head voice/falsetto). She's building some strength back in her voice, and trying to show off that vocal flair that she's been known for. She has been in the business, singing a ridiculously strenuous repertoire, for a little over 20 years now. That'll take a toll on anyone, especially someone prone to vocal nodules. Cut her a break.

Besides, change is only natural. With that being said, Mariah Carey will always be in her own league when it comes to singing. It’s simply ridiculous to defend Mariah by saying ”She had a cold/surgery/bad day and you’re just a hater.” literally EVERYTIME she performs. And about this particular performance - Mariah sang jazz just for fun at some restaurant right after the show and surely she wouldn’t have done that under a cold or after a surgery on her vocal chords? Come on, people.

Baby I AM a true lamb. I have supported her since day 1 back 1990 and I have been watching, voting, requesting and buying triumphant like crazy. I'm talking about theTriumphant performance specifically. I was also just a bit sad she messed it up a bit, but after seeing her singing jazz I'm back to loving her like crazy haha. @Andy Lamont Because most of the people who are there are not lambs that is why only few cheered when she did her diva antics. Unlike in her concerts, whenever she does them, crowds are laughing and going crazy.

Too bad this isn't what the whole world saw on TV. Many of her songs don't translate well into live performances (Triumphant), but can't wait for American Idol!
umm, she has it since she's a bay, she talks about it in an interview, it is those nodules which allows her to belt the sky-high notes
