I was, I am and I will always be jealous (in a good way if that's even possible) of the people who could attend this concert, she was having fun, she sounded and looked amazing.

This concert got mixed to negative reviews for some odd reason. Australians complain to much for me. I don't understand why they were expecting a Mariah Carey from 1990 or whenever she come out. Whose voice stays the same? They did the same exact thing to Whitney when she actually really sounded good for the state of her voice. People need to realize that Mariah isn't 20 anymore and not going to sound as amazing as she once did. Whitney and Mariah could/can still out sing most of the young talent around. Stevie nicks, Lisa stansfield, Aretha Franklin and quite a few others don't sound the same either. People should stop complaining and enjoy them while they are here.

People also say Celene didn't lose any of her voice but I don't agree with that either.....haters will hate!
Jonathan Salter I agree Celine voice is not the same at all. I saw her in concert and she lip sync a lot of the songs. When she actually did sing she avoided the high notes. What I respect most about WH is that even when her vocals were in not so good condition she went out and still sang her ass off and didn't resort to any tricks.

I couldn't agree with you more! Well said. It always bothers me when people are so mean especially, when they say how singers like Mariah and Whitney were their idols, and yet, there some of them are trashing them because of how their voices have changed over the years for a variety of reasons. Personally, I love Whitney and Mariah, and what I will say is this: Mariah was there singing live, and giving it her all!

She seems so happy. She was a fairly new mother and still married to Nick and in this moment, she had all the things she'd always wanted. Mariah's life has been FILLED with ups and downs but I do believe right here during this time in her life 7 years ago, she was living in one of the "ups." Unfortunately, we all know it fell apart the following year but that doesn't take away from this right here.

For those that is calling her fat y'all do know she is a diabetic right one minute she is small the next minute she is big it's like being on birth control you never know what your weight is going to look like after taking the medications!!

Mariah developed gestational diabetes when she was pregnant but she isn't diabetic and therefore isn't on medication for diabetes. She is, however, bipolar and on medication for that and psychotropic meds, as well as antidepressants, cause significant weight gain. She's also loves her wine and that adds on the pounds, too. Her weight will probably always yo-yo but she does manage to get it under control for short periods of time. Unfortunately, the older she gets, the harder that becomes.

You can tell when something is different. When she was pregnant I swear she sounded like it was 1998. Us lambs should start a "No drinking for mariah campaign" lol And she had to get 8 - 10 hours of sleep everyday. Her voice will be just like '96.
This makes me so sad seeing her struggling to sing her oldschool songs like the way she use to. Obviously afew octaves down, but regardless, she will always be one of the best singers this world has ever seen! Love you Mariah! xo
Oh well... I'm just glad that she is still working on albums and is still singing. Something happened, you know how some of her concerts get messed up because of her sound crew, they seem to get it wrong every time. :(

MC needs to tone up a bit for her tour. I'm happy that she sings live mostly, even though she can't hit the high notes in a lot of songs, she changed all the notes into low notes. I'm going to give it a miss for her tour this year. I think her tours are a lot more entertaining with better arrangements with songs and speech and dresses etc. I always find her concerts are amateurish. Yes also with the length too, only singing for less than an hour???

I've seen Mariah many times but unfortunately I refuse to buy tickets ever again. Her shows have gotten shorter and shorter to an inexcusable 10-14 song set of the same songs over and over again.

Whats sad is that you have seen her perform and had a number to boot. Don't you think that it takes a toll on her vocal chords to perfrom HER OWN songs let alone THE WAY SHE SINGS them?!?!??!!? i think you have to consider ,how much do concert tickets cost,for such Big Acts like her...i mean.... when people like Mariah,Janet or Madonna come to Europe, you don't find a ticket for less than 150 euro!! you know how much is that,for someone who earns something like 1200 euro per month?? and then you got a concert shorter than an hour?? i know an artist has to preserve the voice, but fans pay alot of money too....
