I love this channel. Few weeks back I watched the immersive Lagos drive with my little boy, showing him where I grew up. Can’t wait to show him his fathers land soon. ❤️💯
Very interesting video. I remember the exact same style of canoes being used on the lagoon and pulled up onto the beach at Lagos when I was there as a child 64yrs ago. A video showing how those canoes are made would be so interesting also as they are such beautiful boats made with such skill and craftsmanship.
A very nice video indeed! Sometimes it's nice to change and see how beautiful is life far from city congestion. It is completely different, people take time to talk with you, I find it very pleasant. And thanks to this video I got to know something more about you, as your chinese wife and your father. Thank you Ludo for sharing your videos!
You usually have very good videos on the life of Nigeria! and this time you even got a better video on it! because you have gone even deeper into the heart of Nigeria! which is much more than its largest cities and big towns! and in this great video you have even given those great people another view, another image and another voice! which is something very good because they are frequently ignored! and even forgoten! even by the Nigerian Goverment! therefore you have done another great job by bringing them some books! so that they could also learn something about the great world outside of their very beautiful but also very little paradise! Best wishes from Mexico City! and I wish that we could also have those very beautiful blue skies in my city!👍
@@tuforu4 I hope so! besides some other things! of course! but even with that in mind those things in fact are not as many or as expensive as most people think! specially considering the great wealth that could also be created also by the poor people! and don't forget also that the best wealth in the world is always much better used by the poorest people! because they're really the ones that really know poverty better! therefore if they just had the right means to fight against it then they would do it much better than just the rich politicians just sitting some times in their luxory desks just thinking about it! and that is only for just some times! because most of the time in fact they're just thinking about their own selves! only about their own well being! and only about their own health! and only about their own wealth! of course!
The people may appear healthy but the life expectancy in Nigeria is just over 60 years, there is no sanitation in this village, the birth rate is exceptionally high and medical care is almost non-existent. My heart breaks for so many people without basic services.
Ludo, Many thanks for the insightful coverage of riverine lifestyle in coastal Nigeria. I enjoyed watching this just as much as your previous video of the fishing village near Ajah, Lagos. Best wishes.
This content for me is GOLD. thank you so much for showing this, it really shows a completely different world from the city and different towns. Cheers to your wonderful content.
Credit where it's due. This is good footage. I've never seen skies so blue in Nigeria. The downside is that if the logging isn't regulated it will turn into another treeless shanty community.

Thanks for uploading this. Just a little observation. There doesn't seem to be much of Govt presence here, which is sad. And there are pockets of places like this throughout Nigeria. Once anoher country tries to collare this place, that's when FG will be bandying sovereignty. The easiest weapon of showing sovereignty is by developing an area. It is quite sad!
@@Ludo_Liu I was wondering about that and looking to see woodworking machinery But later when wood planks were being loaded onto a boat , I got it that the worked wood there. All the same, most of the, ground around the village is same, built up with wood shavings. It is cool, and it looks healthy to me. What do you think? Finally, I think you can do a more educative series about this village and similar like it all along the inner waterways from Lagos to the Delta.
Wood industry seems to be their main source of livelihood. How much is 700 nairas in euros? Here, one of those planks would cost about 30 € (made of spruce). In my country that "waste" wood they have in abundance, would be burned in fireplases ... to get heat (last week -20 C°) 🙂.

I hope those kid's have fun reading in school , the looks nice but I'd rather live in the city
yes i hop too !
i love that place, i am a countrysider, that s maybe why
Thanks for uploading this. Just a little observation. There doesn't seem to be much of Govt presence here, which is sad. And there are pockets of places like this throughout Nigeria. Once anoher country tries to collare this place, that's when FG will be bandying sovereignty. The easiest weapon of showing sovereignty is by developing an area. It is quite sad!
that is completely true Sir ! Thanks a lot for watching and for your comment
And this coastline is kinda interesting. It is not a sandy beach. Mere like built up with wood shavings . Confirm?
this is far from the sea side. it is not the coast , the wood chips are there because the boat was moored near a place where the wood is worked
Please what is the name of this village in Nigeria ❤
😍👍👍👍👏👏👏

thanks a lot for watching and dropping a comment
Lumber is their number one livelihood. Hope they have regulation about tree cuttings so that forest will be sustained.
I hope too, this activity can be both sustainable or a disaster.
A great thing to do is introduce the village to Solar panels electric-energy power grid!
if you look closely, you will see tiny solar panels for the people to charge phone and small devices.
Thanks a lot for watching
Wood industry seems to be their main source of livelihood.
How much is 700 nairas in euros? Here, one of those planks would cost about 30 € (made of spruce).
In my country that "waste" wood they have in abundance, would be burned in fireplases ... to get heat (last week -20 C°) 🙂.
700 nairas is around 2 dollars. Thanks a lot for your comment once more !
I hope they get some help with new housing some of the homes are about to fall over
yes, that s true, thanks for the warm wishes !
What are you looking for?
what do you mean ?
@@Ludo_Liu have you finished viewing your own vicinity? Let us be. You people carry yourselves there, pretending to mean well towards these beautiful-hearted angels (compared to some people) and later come to spew out filth. Can i come to your village as an African, filming people, and come out alive?
@@africanoriginal9404 For your information Bolaji Alonge, is a Nigerian... i am accompanying him on his project.
yes you are welcome in my home-town...
Don't think all the people here speak Yoruba, I seem to hear them speak Izon. Can your guide confirm?
you have the answer inside the video while i speak with the lady waving the fish trap and her husband...we speak about that topic.
I am wondering why you continue to upload parts of old video as a new video. Running of ideas on content creation?
what are you speaking about ?this is an original video never uploaded, as all my videos...
