It's not expensive you just need to go to Aldi, Tesco or Asda for your food. Don't go Waitrose, M and S or the coop. It really does not have to be expensive living here.

Those spices in the curry are called cardamom pods, you’re not meant to eat them you just eat around them. They taste gross but they give the curry a nice flavour!

If you are from the UK in the Manchester area, look into the bread and butter thing. They are a similar thing, and do shopping cheaper through Fareshare and the supermarkets such as Tesco, Asda, Safeway, Morrison’s and more. They might cover your area and they charge £7 for a few bags of shopping, it’s all random as to what you get each week, but worth looking into.
Have been using this app in belgium and I love it too! Just a quick tip: you can normally take your own boxes so they can put the food in there and you don't have to use any plastic packaging!
Cardamon is actually one of the best spices! Usually us arabs remove the cloves and cardamon from the rice and sauces before serving the food...its really good for you too
