It gives you literally everything - Epic & Crazy Fights, Emotional Moments, Funny & Tense Conversations, a strange feeling of mystery, Jaw-dropping Environments accompanied by Godly Music which is Epic & Emotional at the same time... all this in a perfect way! If you've ever lost a family pet, the emotional connection in the opening scenes is likely going to resonate more (or at least differently). For anyone else, yes, it'll likely be an objectively sad moment, but it won't hit them in the same way emotionally.

God of War 4 (2018) was almost perfect but Santa Monica Studio has made GOW Ragnarök even better by miraculously improving upon literally everything from its predecessor. It gives you everything - even more than we expected - Absolutely Crazy & Brutal Fights, Epic & Emotional Storytelling, Funny & Tense Conversations, Amazing & Hugely Customisable Combat, Useful & Interesting side content, all those unanswered questions, Jaw-dropping Environments accompanied by Godly Music which is Epic & Emotional at the same time... all this in a perfect way! 1:01:53 - is so true - however, you need to keep in mind for it to work you NEED hdmi sound to your setup. I got new speakers for my office but I can’t match the surround sound setup of my living room TV because my 32” BenQ monitor doesn’t have HDMI sound output!! It uses a crummy 3.5mm jack. But surround sound separation on my TV is AMAZING.
My favorite finisher is when he kicks them up mid-air and THEN cuts them in half mid-air - they even leave a little blood-curdling scream from it… so nice to know that it hurt.
Rob and the gang have single-handedly convinced me to buy this game ASAP. Not only that, but they’ve convinced me to replay the first game (which I never do)! Their passion is contagious.
Of all the games coming out I could have asked for Xmas I’m regretting this being the one... I need to warn my family I’ll be regressing and it will be an Xmas like when I was a child and just get my present and leave to go play it for the rest of the day 😅
Mimir is probably the third person Kratos called a brother and really meant it. He only called Deimos and Hercules brothers, and in Hercules' case, Kratos was mocking him. The only other person Kratos thought of as a brother would be Orkos. Fun fact: Orkos was voiced by Troy Baker. Modi and Magni weren't the first characters of Nolan (Hades in GoW1) and Troy in GoWverse. Been playing on GMGoW and it is hard, but so far I haven't faced anything that will make me turn down the difficulty. Finished almost every GoW on the hardest, the only exception being GoW1. Reached the end, but couldn't do the Clones battle, the penultimate fight.
I feel like I'm one of the few that enjoyed FF13 True it's not the best and I also booked a week off to play it (I did nothing else that week and lived off chilli-cheese pringles and pepsi max)
The only game I had taken time off work so far was when the Mass Effect Legendary Edition was released. Had already played the original games before so very often so it wasn't like I was playing anything completely new. But still, it's Mass Effect. Unfortunately I only got a week off and within that week I was barely able to play through two of the games.
Ragnarök has captured me. I started playing at 2AM EST on Oct. 9 and every day put in about 8 hours "or so". Two things: There is an enormous amount of non skippable scenes, so if you are in a rush.... don't be. There is a serious amount of issues going on with on-screen action and your ability to hit the button combinations. The game is otherwise solid, but VERY expensive to purchase outside of America. I paid CAD $113.00 for the game, this includes a 13% tax. How it compares to the GOW from 2018? There is no comparing. The PS5 scenes load superfast. Still some bugs where you have to save and reload. There are quite the amount of tears to start, but soon enough everything makes sense.

I’m 15 hours in, while it’s a great game, it’s not wowing me like the reboot did. Can’t recapture that feeling of playing the reboot again. It’s def not a perfect game. Starting to notice some of its flaws now that we are in the sequel. It doesn’t do to much new stuff, just kind of tries to perfect a working formula. I’m enjoying it, but Elden ring is still by far my goty. The fake loading screens, constant squeezing through walls and tunnels, some really annoying linear follow this character moments and a few other minor complaints so far. Was hoping they would change some of that with the sequel but it being cross gen they prob couldn’t. Wish it wasn’t being held back. Could change as I keep playing but I’d give it a solid 9 as of now.

And when you know sadness is coming, it's less of an impact.. just wanted to mention that for the future. Spoilers are made in many ways, even when you just talk about an emotion you get during a specific point in the game (first 10 minutes, last 10 minutes, chapter 2, etc)
This game was one the greatest games I have ever played for me till the final battle, I was expecting the final events to answer some questions set in the past, "who the hell blew the horn in 2018 and why??" and the final battle felt so rushed, Thor fight just happened in one arena, Thor and jormungandr fight was underwhelming

The Norse Saga of GOW is absolutely my favorite game of all-time now. It's a masterpiece in it's own class. Nothing else comes even remotely close.
