Look forward to the podcast every two weeks, the Access team have such great chemistry and everyone brings something different to the table in terms of personality and humour 😊
What I love doing with adaptations is thinking about the exact moment in the games as I am watching it there on screen, I cant say how massive my smile is when I see they have incorporated something picture for picture or word for worrd. Great video ACCESS TEAM LOVE YOU ALL
podsquad - absolutely love the podcast ever since it started last year, really enjoyed listening to it when I drive to work but now there's a video format I hAVE to watch it so I don't miss golden moments like Rob's reactions to Ash's list of cat names.
I listened to the podcast whilst shopping, as it's cold, my hat hid my earphones I was wearing and I got a few looks when I laughed aloud to 'Mr Addams' Great show as always, really enjoy these Podcasts. Keep up the great work. 👍👍
I as always listened to this podcast on my Saturday morning walk. I will say for a video game adaptation I’m surprised nobody said this one but I will, and it’s red dead redemption! Those 2 games would make for incredible tv series or movies! Keep up the great pod for all of the squad 💙
Ahoy hoy…VOD Squad is in the house! Very interesting pod on movement/tv adaptations…given me some stuff to add to my watch list but I can’t believe none of you guy’s mentioned Sonic the Hedgehog’s movies and Ratchet&Clank
I actually think it works better with 3 people on the pod. You could rotate each week and someone gets chance to have some time off or do something else. Always love the pod and the access crew 🙌
Rob is amazing. Been my fav since day 1. His features rock my socks. That being said - how does such a grumpy fart get to be so packed with awesomeness? It gives me faith for my future…
On the topic of Elder Scrolls comedy series, have you guys seen the RUclips channel Viva La Dirt League? (from my home here in NZ 🎉) They do fantastic a series called Epic NPC Man and Gamer Logic. Check them out - hilarious! Also, they’re saying the Horizon TV series is going to exist in the world rather than a direct adaptation. I reckon will be a great way to handle those massive games 👍
I have a copy of final fantasy the spirits within on vhs that brought from a blockbuster back when you had to go outside to buy vidoe games/movies. I think I’ll post it for the community on Twitter later on 🤔
Rosie, you invent new words and phrases we have never heard before, yet somehow we all know their meaning. Someone from the past did that too, I think you should write plays
I enjoyed immensely. It felt down to earth. I connected immensely with the take on Tomb Raider and I LOVED the laser grid scene in Resident Evil-so awesome! Also, I found it endearing to call Gomez Mr. Adams lol
What happened to Rosie? Not remembering Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey in Game of Thrones (their performances were iconic), calling Gomez "Mr. Adam", ... I'm genuinely shocked.
Also...ahem, Podsquad, I think that Hitman would make an excellent movie. BUT, you tell it from the perspective of the police trying to track him down. You would rarely see 47 and even then he would be in the background of scenes. Treat it like a horror movie where the "monster" is the talented 47 killing his targets whilst the police try and hunt him down, learning more about his backstory as it happens. I think it would be a great way to showcase just what the Hitman games are about whilst also being accessible for those who know nothing about the video games!
First time watching and just wanted to add that an AC series which slowly follows the progression of someone in the animus and doesn't half arse the bleeding effect would actually be good
PODSQUAD! I went to go and see Resident Evil when I was just a little bit too young to have seen it. We managed to blag our way in and thought it was pretty awesome even though it wasn't quite what we thought it would be.
Although I haven't seen it myself, there is a BBC show that, from the trailer, looks like it has a similar idea to Detroit Become Human, it's called: Humans (TV Series 2015-2018) I loved Detroit, and all Quantic Dreams games. I even got a platinum in all their PS4 games. I'm excited for what they do next. They have a new game for this year (2023) called 'Under the Waves'. I have no idea what it is about, but I am excited to find out!
I would need to love a game A LOT before I ever watch an adaptation. But pretty much the best movie based on a game I have watched so far was Mass Effect Paragon Lost. And by the end I was bawling my eyes out.
Love the fact that Ash loves the Resident Evil movies so much. She is right about it being corny but pretty freaking cool as well. Ash, you need to watch the 6th film as it was the best-reviewed out of all of them. I think you will really enjoy it. I also loved Street Fighter, MK, Tomb Raider, Doom, Uncharted, Silent Hill, and many other fun, but sometimes corny movie adaptations.
It shows my age, but I've always maintained that the 90's Wing Commander film with Freddie Prinze Jr. And Matthew Lillard was way better than given credit for. Of course, you'd have to know the Wing Commander games, and for that you'd have to ancient. Like me
You're in luck, Rosie. Final Fantasy Spirits Within got an upscaled 4k release to celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2021. A game which would be brilliant as a film, but I doubt we will ever see it happen, is SOMA. One of the best stories in a game ever. The only down side would be you would see the twists coming in the movie but could still be interesting to see how they would adapt it.
PODSQUAD! I think Rob should get a whole bunch of the Yu-Gi-Oh Robert Pearson cards and start using them as business cards, imagine handing em out saying, "here's my card" while in his Aged 47 suit and seeing ppls reactions 😀
Ash mentioned the idea of an elder scrolls tv show. Viva la dirt league has an excellent series on youtube called Epic NPC Man, which shows the adventures and mechanics of players from an NPCs point of view.
I personally thought that Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City was a great adaptation. They used just enough creative license to keep it fresh yet familiar. You'd love it Rosie & Ash!
Loved this episode I really recommend the dragon quest film and I would love an ikenfell or shantea film or series and if none of you have played it please please talk about and play ikenfell I beg you love you all
I like the fongus in the mouth the added, but I still think they could have keep spores in some parts. Now this addaptation is really good so far, but so far Castlevania is my favorite video game adaptation
what's the best video game adaptation? easily fate/stay night and Stein's Gate the fact people have no idea they were both game adaptations goes to show how amazing they did it.
Spirits Within would have been successful in my opinion if it wasn't called "Final Fantasy". If you showed that movie to someone who had played every Final Fantasy game ever without telling them the name, they would have no idea it's supposed to be Final Fantasy. It would be like releasing a movie set in a fantasy universe, calling it Lord of the Rings, and then leaving out magic and all races except man.
Look forward to the podcast every two weeks, the Access team have such great chemistry and everyone brings something different to the table in terms of personality and humour 😊
Will we ever get the entire team on a podcast this year lol really enjoy these
Love the podcast! It’s great to hear the teams thoughts on topics outside gaming. Keep up the great work you all have such good chemistry in the team
What I love doing with adaptations is thinking about the exact moment in the games as I am watching it there on screen, I cant say how massive my smile is when I see they have incorporated something picture for picture or word for worrd. Great video ACCESS TEAM LOVE YOU ALL
Still loving the Podcast. I could listen to you guys talk about anything and everything all of the time 😉
podsquad - absolutely love the podcast ever since it started last year, really enjoyed listening to it when I drive to work but now there's a video format I hAVE to watch it so I don't miss golden moments like Rob's reactions to Ash's list of cat names.

Great show as always, really enjoy these Podcasts. Keep up the great work. 👍👍
We need a segment where someone pulls up random pictures of animals and Ash says what name they should have. 😂
Catching up on the podcast. Another really enjoyable episode. Thanks.
Loving how Rob used the Titanic meme to explain January 🤣
I as always listened to this podcast on my Saturday morning walk. I will say for a video game adaptation I’m surprised nobody said this one but I will, and it’s red dead redemption! Those 2 games would make for incredible tv series or movies! Keep up the great pod for all of the squad 💙
Great Pod cast. Are you guys not doing Tuesday's checklist & Friday Features anymore?
Ahoy hoy…VOD Squad is in the house! Very interesting pod on movement/tv adaptations…given me some stuff to add to my watch list but I can’t believe none of you guy’s mentioned Sonic the Hedgehog’s movies and Ratchet&Clank
I actually think it works better with 3 people on the pod. You could rotate each week and someone gets chance to have some time off or do something else.
Always love the pod and the access crew 🙌
It basically just started, but I'm really loving NieR:Automata Ver1.1a as an adaptation.
If there was Nintento Access, Rob would be called Robert "SNES" Pearson 😂😂😂
Rob is amazing. Been my fav since day 1. His features rock my socks. That being said - how does such a grumpy fart get to be so packed with awesomeness? It gives me faith for my future…
The closet thing I've been able to find to Control in media was a TV mini-series called, "The Lost Room". It was too good.
Yes! Control definitely borrowed some inspiration from that, especially the motel sections.
Talking about anything not video game related with Rosie is like talking to a person who's been living in a time capsule for the past 30yrs.
I will forever refer to The Mandalorian now as "the behelmeted boy" 😂
"Ash Millium"- like the Trails of Cold Steel!
Good to have Ash's chaos back 🙂
Love everything you guys do, but these video podcasts are terrific!! Cheers…PODSQUAD!
Friday features. Dave and Nath. That is what makes access. Also Tuesday checklist.

I like Rosie's hoodie. I need to find one for me. Every time I see her in it, I want to get one, but I forget about it after!
Can't believe there's only 3 months left for another Christmas maze! So looking forward to it!
Adams lol
Rosie's is just too funny with just breaking 🤣🤣🤣
I may eventually get a cat, Chairman Meow tops the list of names.
I loved the 60s talk show, I thought it was a perfect setup.
Oh yeah, that was great
Spirits Within is one of my absolute favorite movies. And I never played the games.
I absolutely love the silent hill movies both of them but the 1st is so good and I adore the ending so much
1st one at least. I could do without the second one, but Christophe Gans got a lot of things right. The mood, the atmosphere, the visuals. Good stuff.
One of my cats is "princess wobblebelly" :-) Her real name is Gizmo / Gizzy. My other cat is Joey but we call him "fish"
Talking about games turning to shows, imagine Bloodborne tv show. Mind blowing.
Comments of the week are so hilarious leading in this week. Very giggly
What happened to Rosie? Not remembering Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey in Game of Thrones (their performances were iconic), calling Gomez "Mr. Adam", ... I'm genuinely shocked.
omg i didnt notice rosies sweater last time i watched this( i rewatched alot so i feel like someones talking to me lol) its so awesome i must have one
That clicker on the roof though... 🥶
Speaking of crazy action scenes and cinematography, I would love to have a crazy Devil May Cry mini series.
Also...ahem, Podsquad, I think that Hitman would make an excellent movie. BUT, you tell it from the perspective of the police trying to track him down. You would rarely see 47 and even then he would be in the background of scenes. I'm ecstatic to hear the mention of the ni no kuni anime movie and the dragon quest movie that I enjoyed so much
We have a Shih Tzu we called 'Baron Munchausen'. He loves his treats, so we now call him 'Munch'
Yet again the Playstation Access team raise us from our January Blues. Thank you all
First time watching and just wanted to add that an AC series which slowly follows the progression of someone in the animus and doesn't half arse the bleeding effect would actually be good
VOD Squad! Ash must love Kung Fury right? @36:50
PODSQUAD! I went to go and see Resident Evil when I was just a little bit too young to have seen it. We managed to blag our way in and thought it was pretty awesome even though it wasn't quite what we thought it would be.
Can't wait for my pizza! Thanks, Rob!
For the record, the "pizza shovel" is called a peel.
I highly recommend the Dragons Dogma series on Netflix as it’s a great mini series.
Am genuinely surprised that Ash hasn’t seen Castlevania.
It's confirmed, Dave is ESSENTIAL to Comments of the Week
Detroit Become Human I'd love to see as a film or TV series. Horizon Zero Dawn would make an amazing adaptation also.
Although I haven't seen it myself, there is a BBC show that, from the trailer, looks like it has a similar idea to Detroit Become Human, it's called:
Humans (TV Series 2015-2018)

This was a really fun podcast
((I can't believe she put the pizza thing in the podcast 😂))
I have nothing substantial to say but just wanted to let you know this podcast is fantastic
Really enjoyed the podcast also Ash’s pants are awesome.
Love the podcast and always really watching,
I would need to love a game A LOT before I ever watch an adaptation. But pretty much the best movie based on a game I have watched so far was Mass Effect Paragon Lost. And by the end I was bawling my eyes out.

I love these, Rosie was killing me this episode!
PODSQUAD! I think Rob should get a whole bunch of the Yu-Gi-Oh Robert Pearson cards and start using them as business cards, imagine handing em out saying, "here's my card" while in his Aged 47 suit and seeing ppls reactions 😀
If Ash falls asleep at work, she has an excuse. She's just looking for messages from the fire pigeons.
A great listen :)
The Silent Hill movies were awesome as well.
Brilliant robot from Rob-ot.
Idk if anyone else thinks this but Final Fantasy Spirits Within makes me think of xenosaga
Street Fighter 2 the animated movie is just perfection.
Alien: Isolation IMO
no one mentioned here the first Silent Hill movie by Christoph Gantz..
i just learned who ash is and i think im in love..... lol
Street fighter II V the series is fire. 29 episodes of awesomeness
A Sly Cooper film in the vein of the recent Puss in Boots film would be great
Loved this episode
I really recommend the dragon quest film and I would love an ikenfell or shantea film or series and if none of you have played it please please talk about and play ikenfell I beg you love you all
For best videogame adaptation I would like to throw Silent Hill into the ring.
EDIT: Okay, Ash said it, I'm happy.
I too have a cat name list! 😂
Pizza Shovel Knight!
Tentacles. That’s all I need to hear.
The PlayStation Pizza party live stream I can’t wait. Whoop whoop 🥳
Wjat's the best adaptation? I think the best is probably the Netflix Castlevania series. Love that series.
im wondering if they are going do something with genesis in the ff7 remake games
Don't forget Narcos. Pedro Pascal is also great in that.
Where can I get that Solaire hoodie?
I wish youd spoken about spoilers concidering its a playstation podcast about a game thats been out many years now, people here would have played it
I like the fongus in the mouth the added, but I still think they could have keep spores in some parts. Now this addaptation is really good so far, but so far Castlevania is my favorite video game adaptation
I don’t know what world Rosie lives in but I’d love to come and visit! 😂
what's the best video game adaptation? easily fate/stay night and Stein's Gate the fact people have no idea they were both game adaptations goes to show how amazing they did it.

I was a little bummed Rob didn't day advent children, then he came back around to it and I was more happy than I should have been. Lol
So far, all the actors are doing a great job, but Gabriel Luna has got Tommy's voice down to a T.
Ash you will love castlevania!!!
"It's amazing how long a minute lasts" I wonder if Rosie's boyfriend listens to this podcast
Arcane is the best video game adaptation there has been to date. It's flawless.
Wow Rob got moves 🤖
The first Mortal Kombat movie is still the best game adaptation for me.
You all are the best
