thank you for this, i installed these headlights on a customers car only a few months before you made this video. Its good to see a detailed install on the updated VA models
You need to install the little box (led module) under your steering wheel. If it doesn’t work, order a new one from subispeed. There is to much power going to the headlights. That’s what causes the hyper flash when the car is on. I’d leave the connectors plugged in as a solid turn signal until you install it. After that you should be good to go for the sequential.
Nice!!! Those are the ones i like😁. I have the same problem with my drl bezels when sequential and just yesterday my turn signals where hyperblinking. I have oem headlights and taillights but with a diode dynamics led parts so my setup is different
for the turn signals to work, you gotta buy a relay cuz the one that comes with it is honestly trash, I bought mine from amazon and it has a knob for you to tune the turn signal speed to your liking.

Maam I have everything plugged in, everything works except my drl (driver side). For some reason the c light on the driver side only comes on when I use high beam. 😫😫
Headlights look nice. I can't tell you why they hyper flash on sequential but not during regular blinking. I can tell you that when using the flashers, they will always blink normal as its not looking a drop in resistance. Hope you figure it out.
I love my stock headlights but I kinda want some aftermarket but do these lose the SRH function? I’m also using the diode dynamics flasher relay module so it corrects all the hyper flashing. I do have EVO sequential tail lifts though .
For 18+ STIs you don't need the extra harness for the DRL (I have the same headlights) that might be the reason why your blinkers are not working properly.
@@stiliz. I ended up looking how you hooked up the harnesses and then checked mine you're missing a wire that plugs to the blue connection with the white wire. Kind of hard to explain lol
You have to use a super flat flathead or some super flat tool. If you stick it in the gap at the top it'll lift the clip and you can slide the flasher out.
Do any of the aftermarket headlights have the feature that the stock ones have when you turn the lights turn with…? It has been a reason why I haven’t updated my headlights cause I love that feature.

Idk if you still need help, but maybe try running a bigger fuse. I remember for my bezel w the dlr I had a 10 amp and changed to 30 and they worked just fine after that

I just also installed mine a week ago and been having the same problems with the blinker. Also couldn't figure it out so I just ended up not using the sequential instead.
The resistor should have fixed it, that’s what I did on my 13 STI. I’d be cautious of subispeed, especially their headlights. Always heard ppl in the community saying it’s poor quality since the VA’s came out

They look great, just hope they are reliable for you! I hear reliability / condensation issues are pretty common with them.

I figured that out after! I ended up taking it off and using the other wiring it came with but it still wasn’t working :(

You need to plug the other turn signal, that’s why you still had hyper flash.
The turn signal that’s on your front bumper.
You need the Relay that goes under the dash to run led blinkers maybe.

For that LED flasher, you’re going to possibly break the plastic tab that connects to the OE box. That was the only way I was able to do it.

Yes, unfortunately these aftermarket headlights do get rid of the SRH feature and the light does turn on.

With the speed of the blinker I think if you turn your lights on and off it changes the speed
