  • We review the new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 with Extreme Recon Package. This $80,000 Jeep pushes the limits of price and performance. While the idea of throwing a V8 in everything has become a joke, this really is the last of its kind. We talk about engineering, fun, and more. With the Ford Bronco Raptor coming out, which would you choose?

    Is there a 4/5 point harness option with this beast? That would be the box to check off as these things are going to be rolling over around corners like Hot Wheels when you set up the track wrong....

    I have never been a Jeep off road guy, and I don’t think I ever will be. However, if I had to choose, it would definitely be this Jeep Wrangler with the V8 OR the Jeep Cherokee Track Hawk. The guys at Jeep build what customers want! With that being said, WHY THE FUCK can’t Acura and Honda build what customers want! Give us the Accord TypeR, Give us a REAL Integra, give us a TLX TypeS with a 6spd manual make it 3200 pounds, and make it affordable. I need to start making my own car man. Excuse the rant. Great Video again guys. Love it!

    I think most people wanted the 5.7 Hemi. Especially people who overland these vehicles and add extra weight with mods. The normal V6 was just becoming underpowered.

    • @mtnman1984
      @mtnman1984 2 года назад +9

      This will sell to the same people who buy Hellcats, Charger 392s, SRT Durango, and TRXs. I don't think many overlanders will want to swallow the price premium and the fuel economy hit. The first one of these I saw was a guy who's wife loved her aftermarket turbo V6 Wrangler, but wanted to have the V8. The second was nearly the same story. People with fast cars in their garage that want a fast Wrangler.

      @@mtnman1984 yeah IDK, I think they could have chosen better but went the way that would bring more profit by charging premium. Also it could have been a decision to not hurt the sales of the V6 if the V8 offering was too sensible.

      @@kenim there is some marketing in the price premium, but this truck has some special engineering in it too. This is the sixth available powertrain for the Wrangler and it's even more niche than a Hellcat widebody. I don't think they're worried about sales cannibalization or sales outright.

    • @kenim
      @kenim 2 года назад +1

      @@mtnman1984 i know and thats the problem and probably even their intention. People actually wanted a smaller less outrageous V8 for a more affordable price. Read a lot of people commenting it should have been a 5.7 for around 50k. And that maybe made too much sense, so they went the niche way to make a statement.
