I have battled not alcohol, but over eating and nailbiting and not trusting my children to the Lord I fasted five days for my children and at the end of the five days the Lord told me “just praise me while you wait.” And I am seeing changes in my children for the better.

When the time of severe trials comes, there will be people who will leave the churches, some here, some there. There will be some who have done quite well in their pursuit in the past few days and it will not be clear why they no longer believe. Many things will happen that you will not understand, and God will not reveal any sign or mystery, nor do anything out of the ordinary. This is to see if you can stand---God uses truths to refine people. You have not suffered much.

Can you continue? The more you progress, the more intense your TESTS will be. God carries out His work of CHOOSING PEOPLE according to their NEEDS and their stature. 🛑
In the stage of God's PERFECTION of mankind, it is impossible for the number of these little ones to continue to grow. Only through these refinements can people become PERFECT. TREATMENT, DISCIPLINE, TESTING, PUNISHMENT, CURSING--can you bear it ALL? ☀️
When you see a church in a particularly good situation, where all the brothers are striving with great enthusiasm, you yourself are encouraged. When the day itself is encouraged. When the day comes when they have all left, some of them no longer believe, some have left to do business or get married, and some have joined religion; Can you keep your mood intact?
God's perfecting of mankind is not a very simple matter! He USES a lot of things to PICK UP people. People think of these as methods, but in God's original purpose they are not even methods, but truths. Finally when He has refined the people somehow and they no longer have any complaints, this phase of His work will be completed. The GREAT WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT is to MAKE you PERFECT, and when He does not DO it and hides Himself, it is more for the PURPOSE of PERFECTING you, and in this particular way YOU WILL SEE if PEOPLE have LOVE in GOD, if there REALLY is they TRUST Him. 🛑🙏

You lost me when you said, "after the Rapture", NOWHERE in the bible does it say anything about a rapture, PRE-tribulation. That was created by John Calvin in the 1800s as a way to soften it for weak Christians. Show me one time in the bible where God spared people on a large scale; Sodom and Gamora, everyone except Lot and his daughters was destroyed, the flood; Everyone except Noah and his family destroyed. Believing in a pre-tribulation rapture, is a great way make sure that 7-year period will be the worst of existence. And it is going to cause a crisis of faith in Christians, because they are going to start seeing the judgements, and other events of the end times, and they will be under the false impression that "maybe I'm not a good Christian because Giod is leaving me here to suffer with the unbelievers". Every single person in the bible that received a blessing from God, suffered beforehand. Do you think humanity is going to receive the blessings of eternal life with our Lord without being put through the fire of testing first?

Okay, forget the pretrib hope then if you prefer but there would certainly be a rapture deliverance rescue. And whilst some interpretations are mistaking it to be counted in as a resurrection from death, that is incorrect. According to the bible there are only 2 resurrections..
Firstwhen Christ and probably His firstfruits then as well to co-reign with Him for the Rev 20 future millenial, and then on a Last Day, soul resurrections for those who die in that great tribulation and wrath woes; but in summary this is unto an eternal destiny whereby the unrepentant/unbelievers baphometic self+satan followers end up in hell's lake of fire, and His blessed remnant martyrs resurrected to a perfect glorious heavenly body and enter the Rest of His Kingdom.
The Rapture (1st Thess 4 harpazo in greek) on the other hand, is not a resurrection as it is for those Kingdom saints /believers of Christ who stay 'alive and remaining' survivors during the season of the coming days/weeks/years of Jesus's return, or when the 6th seal great earthquake begins.."for the sake of the people of God, belonging to Him, that will be shorten otherwise no flesh will survive".
This be that last tribulation wakeup warning for the unbelievers to get right on God's side.. or face the consequences in the following woes.
Still yes, the blessed rapture hope (ie passing on from this earth onto Heaven bypassing death) will be after some initial trial shakings/suffering for the Lord time before the 2nd Thess 2 Day of Christ/Day of the Lord judgements (which is broadly called the End of Days Tribulation).
Anyway I personally try not to divide on the basis of a rapture timing expectation as I believe one's growing faith journey is such that we cant divide over that amongst true christians.

The woman that rides the beast is in captivity at the time of John's vision, AFTER receiving the deadly wound from the (atheist) beast from the bottomless pit [Rev 11:7]. This is the beast of THE TIME of John's vision IN THE WILDERNESS.
(Meaning that John is in the wilderness in his vision and not physical on Patmos, and he sees a beast that would come up from out of this wilderness. Read Job 38:26.)

At the time of John's vision *in the wilderness* this head of the beast was yet to come; this is *the beast from out of the earth* [Rev 13:11];
(And he shall exercise all of the power of the first beast...) when this beast will speak like a dragon.

I believe by the testimony of Jesus, that we are now living in that "short time".

This wound is the loss of her (the woman/church that rides the beast.) temporal sword (also her captivity), which is the earthly secular world kingdom.
This is the image of the beast (that great city), who like Babylon of antiquity, who thinks to usurp church and state craft.
The number eight is a metaphor for the resurrection. The eighth is resurrected from a former head of the seven; the 5th head that received a deadly wound.

In antiquity the mountain was not only a metaphor for a kingdom, but it was also symbolic of the head of a (river) dragon that was symbolic of a river that flows out from a mountain, after the spring thaw and overflowing its banks, spreading out in the form of the dragon's tail.
The color is scarlet because it is symbolic of the blood of the saints of the Lord.
A woman in prophecy is always a metaphor for a church, in this case (Jezebel) it is the fallen temple of God.
The false prophet, a lamb (Christ like) with two horns, and/but will speak like a dragon (a wolf in sheep's clothing), will be the beast (from out of the earth ... the USA) that will make an image unto the first beast from out of the sea, who received a deadly wound and his deadly wound was healed.
The two horns are a metaphor for two (equal) kingdoms in one, church and state craft.
Medo-Persia also is expressed as having two horns [Dan 8:3], but one was higher, (Persia) and eventually usurps the other.
This is the image of the first beast from out of the sea (Papal Rome). Once the wall of separation of church and state is lost, then will the second beast from out of the earth become the image of the first beast, who claims the authority of both church and state.

Reading the books of the New Testament, we probably asked ourselves more than once: *"Why 2000 years we do not see those miracles that accompanied the Сhurch of Christ in the I century, as described in the New Testament?"* Why do the so-called preachers of Christ have to prove that Jesus really existed and atheists boldly deny the historicity or divine origin of Christ? Maybe because the Сhurch of Christ has not existed for 2000 years?
The Сhurch does not exist in the form in which it is presented in the books of the New Testament, but there are Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and other christian sects claiming to be the place of the Church, but they not have the only thing that distinguishes the divine from the human and is characteristic of just the Сhurch of Christ -the reinforcement of the word with signs, that is, miracles (Mark 16:15-20).
Therefore, some researchers doubt the historicity of Christ, and some of them are not opposed to declaring him a an ordinary philosopher, teacher. But even if Jesus were an ordinary philosopher, his disciples would be ordinary followers of Jesus. And they would not dare to write about the miracles that not only Jesus, but also his disciples, could perform.
If there were the Church in our time as described by the authors of the New Testament books, where miracles are performed, the sick are healed, where prophesied, and the dead are raised, no one would doubt the historicity of Christ. Then there would be the same controversy throughout the world as in the first century - Jesus the Son of God or the false prophet who seduces the world by miracles. As a result, we can say that the emergence and development of christian sects and atheism was the result of the fact that over the 2000 years the Сhurch of Christ did not exist.

Did not Jesus say that His church he founded on the day of Pentecost that the gates of hell shall not prevail against it? Consider His Church to possibly be a very small organization, quiet throughout history, but following ALL His commandments. Growing larger only in the time of the end.

Of course not, because Christ rose from the dead and thereby conquered death. As it is written: *"Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it."* (Acts 2:24). This is what happened to the Church.
The gates of hell are death, and hell is a dwelling place for the dead. So the words "I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" indicate that the Church was to die, go to hell, and then rise again as Christ did. After all, one can only defeat death (escape from the gates of hell that hold the dead) by dying and rising again and in no other way.
To show more clearly the meaning of the words "the gates of hell shall not prevail" let us imagine a gate that separates one space from another, the abode of the dead from the living. If the Church were alive to this day, she would be on this side, outside the gates of hell, and she would have no contact with the gates of hell, and accordingly the question, "Will the gates of hell prevail over the Church?" would not be asked. because the gates of hell (death) only have power over the dead.
The statement that the gates of hell will not prevail against the Church makes sense only if the Church gets beyond the gates, into the abode of the dead, and then the gates of hell will not be able to hold Her, She will escape through the gates of hell, through the resurrection. Just as Christ could not be defeated by the gates of hell and was resurrected on the third day, so the Church will be resurrected, but it will happen before the End of the World.
Just the death and resurrection of the Church reveals the great mystery of Christ and the Church, which the Apostle Paul speaks of when he draws an interesting parallel between the relationship between husband and wife and Christ and the Church. *“For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church."* (Ephesians 5:31-32)
The true essence of the integrity of Christ and the Church is that Jesus and the Church were to live the same life as husband and wife according to the "two are one flesh. And if they crucified Christ, they later crucified His Church. It could not have been expected otherwise. The world could not be cruel to Christ and benevolent to the Church, for the principle of integrity two are one flesh would be violated.
But the most important and joyful thing is that the Church is one with Christ both in persecution, suffering, and death and in resurrection. As Jesus was crucified and on the third day risen, so will happen to the Church. "This is a great mystery... " is revealed in a true understanding of the principle "two are one flesh," which means that the Church as Christ had to go from Calvary to the Resurrection.

But we see gatherings of people headed only by teachers speaking in the name of Christ, but not having the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus said: *"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover"* (Mark 16:17-18).
There we also read: *"So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following"* (Mark 16:19-20).
I would like to draw your attention to these words: *"the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following".*
that is, miracles reinforce the word of God and they are important for the preaching of the teachings of Jesus.
For 2000 years, including our time, we have not seen any believers who have accompanied or are accompanying these signs. But in the books of the New Testament we read that in the first century, believers performed many miracles.
As written: *“And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people”* (Acts 6:8).
*“Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them”* (Acts 15:12).
*"Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city"* (Acts 8:5-8).
Where are Stephanes, Barnabas, Pauls in our time? Where is Philip, who brings great joy to the cities?

God testified about Jesus, and then about the Church of Christ by miracles. But the Church of Christ was destroyed in the same way as Christ was killed in due time, and therefore the signs and wonders that accompanied the Church ceased, and now She has been buried for 2000 years, but will rise in the last days as Jesus rose again.
The prophecy of the death and resurrection of the Church is present in the parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1-13).
"Revelation" also prophesies about the emergence of the Church: *“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:”* (Revelation 12:1).
The emergence of the Church will just be a great sign of the imminent Coming of Christ.
