Lord, I was raised a Protestant! I will stand for you and keep my eye on you and do my best to follow all commandments you have bestowed unto me. I've always wondered why I never wanted to go to Sunday church when as a child, The children and myself that had to go to Sunday school while our parents were at work. As I got older my parents gave my brother and me a choice to go to church or not. I always felt like evil was around me. I tried different churches and religions until I found Cornerstone Church with a friend. I felt God and got saved at Cornerstone Church in San Antonio Texas in my late 20s. And now in my 60's now have woken up and looked back at things that have happened in my life good and bad and understand that Angels have watched over me all this time because they know I really tried to practice the way of Jesus and try to be the best person I can be. More work is needed of me and the 4th commandment needs to be enforced in my life now. The Sabbath (Saturday) I am trying to make it happen in my life. I've always had to work on the weekend and holidays. I have to find a way to get off work on the Sabbath now so that I will be recognized for keeping that day holy in the name of God when Jesus comes back whether I'm alive or not. More specifically it is the time that is observed which starts Friday night till Saturday night and not just the day of Saturday on its own. It is a really neat study. Many friends observe a personal Sabbath and then attend regular church on Sunday. There is nothing wrong with doing this considering our busy world and the way the majority of churches are established today.

I believe it’s a spiritual battle ... the more I draw near to God and resist it, the greater victory I have. There was a time when I was under its bondage - but surrendering my life fully to God and the Holy Spirit, broke that power over me. I spend time worshipping God and drawing near to Him. I still fall now and again, but I know I can run to God and start afresh after each struggle. May God help us with this. God bless you!

Lord, I was raised a Protestant! I will stand for you and keep my eye on you and do my best to follow all commandments you have bestowed unto me. I've always wondered why I never wanted to go to Sunday church when as a child, The children and myself that had to go to Sunday school while our parents were at work. As I got older my parents gave my brother and me a choice to go to church or not. I always felt like evil was around me. I tried different churches and religions until I found Cornerstone Church with a friend. I felt God and got saved at Cornerstone Church in San Antonio Texas in my late 20s. And now in my 60's now have woken up and looked back at things that have happened in my life good and bad and understand that Angels have watched over me all this time because they know I really tried to practice the way of Jesus and try to be the best person I can be. More work is needed of me and the 4th commandment needs to be enforced in my life now. The Sabbath (Saturday) I am trying to make it happen in my life. I've always had to work on the weekend and holidays. I have to find a way to get off work on the Sabbath now so that I will be recognized for keeping that day holy in the name of God when Jesus comes back whether I'm alive or not. I give myself to you Lord. In Jesus name, I Pray. Amen!

More specifically it is the time that is observed which starts Friday night till Saturday night and not just the day of Saturday on its own. It is a really neat study. Many friends observe a personal Sabbath and then attend regular church on Sunday. There is nothing wrong with doing this considering our busy world and the way the majority of churches are established today.
Do not move to the Sabbath Church before knowing why we go to church on Sunday. There is no wrong in that consider the presence of the holy spirit even if it is on a Sunday.

@@marythompson3404 I sometimes struggle with that too, but I quickly ask God for forgiveness and keep telling myself to run away from it - to reject and resist the temptation, so that the devil will then flee from me (James 4:7). I believe it’s a spiritual battle ... the more I draw near to God and resist it, the greater victory I have. There was a time when I was under its bondage - but surrendering my life fully to God and the Holy Spirit, broke that power over me. I spend time worshipping God and drawing near to Him. I still fall now and again, but I know I can run to God and start afresh after each struggle. May God help us with this. God bless you!
