3:49 You can do a micro sd card extender and have the card sit right where the sim card is, i did that couple years ago when i mod the second 3g vita i had.
Yes I didn't realize that until I jumped through hoops trying to figure out how to set this up as there isn't any straight forward how to guides hence why I shared this. The guy I got mine from has the cables for $20 too and I might have to order one because that would be helpful down the road if my SD Card either crapped out OR I wanted to add more files.

cool mod. so essentially now with the 1.5tb card thats oout, can you have one internally in the new mod slot and 1 in the psvita adapter for a total of 3tb?
So I haven't tried using both slots but from what I found you could do this but the game card slot is slower that's why utilizing the 3G slot has benefits. I think you can only go up to 1TB as well, maybe one day I'll buy a 1.5TB and try.

Hey Mr DNA! I've been looking at some PS Vitas online, and they're pretty decent price. The thing is, I'm completely new to Playstation, so I don't really know what all the different PS Vita models are. What the heck is the 3G model? Is it like how there was a 3DS and a NEW 3DS, in this case the 3G being like the NEW 3DS? Please give me some guidance. Thanks!
Hey if you watched this, the 3G model gave the option for mods like this but you don't feel comfortable just get a fat PSVita from what I searched the original model was better that's why I personally went with it over the slim model.
The 1000 model has the OLED screen where as the 2000 (slim) does not. The 2000 does however have 1GB of internal memory which makes it able to be modded without a proprietary memory card.
@@ripthejacker6020 the 1000 model can do the same but it needs to be hacked first

Awesome you could do some of this on an Android but I won't be sharing a guide as Android is limited.
I thought they stopped making this, ill be ordering one with the MicroSD extension for replacing the Sim card.
There's a guy in Mexico lol make sure to get the extension ribbon cable too it helps a lot!

How much frame bumps did you get on taxxing games like GTA Sa after doing this mod? Just curious.
I have yet to try SA as I guess it is a homebrew port but I have noticed loading times for games especially Minecraft have increased. I am using a good micro SD card as well so that will help for sure.

No what I think you're referring to is the upgrade option to swap the 3G for WiFi/Bluetooth as my WiFi/Bluetooth still works perfectly as I'm getting a few emulators through it right now as I write this. I looked into this too because I saw someone on YT share an upgrade mod like this.

You honestly didnt explain it well and no one seems to explain it well either but my vita was sd2vita with all sorts of stuff loaded on. I just installed everything but i seem to have lost everything besides vitadeploy no one explains what your storage should be, like is my ux0 supposed to still be sd2vita and my uma0 as memory card? Any suggestions would be appreciated

@Ruddz01 you should follow this I literally hacked my PS Vita in my Kitchen the day I got it while cooking dinner lol. I saved sites though this was one I used. The SD2VITA should be set to ux0 or ur0 depending on the device too but the site will help more. I only remembered how to switch it during this because it was still fresh in my mind. vita.hacks.guide/yamt.html
