I’ve been slightly obsessed with clay art recently and got my hands on Crayola Air Dry Clay. I’m trying to make a trinket tray with a cute little cactus as a ring holder. Gonna upload part 2 with the finished results soon 🤍

I use wax paper (parchment paper) which you can get from the Dollar Tree

yeah water is the main thing, when it’s too dry it starts breaking/crumbling eventually

You can still make thing out of clay without water! But its recommended to use water so there wont be any cracks

I’m confused. Did you wet it? And if you did, do you think it would be easy to make clay rings that are sturdy? I’m having a hard time making clay rings with that clay lol

@Mightjustbekayahno, trust me you have to wet it. I work with it myself.

@Mightjustbekayah the water is needed for sculptors as the clay will have cracks in it and water is needed to smooth it out.

how long did the airclay take to dry

Depending on size it takes 2-3 days. Factor in humidity as well. I’d say that took about two and a half days
