@@davidsmiths5471 Hello, David. That's a fair question. The guy on the headset is talking to the cockpit crew and relaying information to the tug driver and wing walkers via standard hand signals. We did our pushbacks this way at America West Airlines. The method worked well.

First; must be disconnected from the tow tractor, then from the nose gear to re-hook to the tractor to be hauled.
Fundamental mistake @:27 NEVER step over the tow bar, other than that great video

In Australia we unhook the tow bar from the plane.
