Im so happy for you man. I feel like everyone always dreams about having a studio. I know the videos will be even better when you're less limited. Congrats
Absolutely loved this video. Congrats on moving into such a gorgeous space and I love love love what you’ve done with it. As a layout nerd and a guitar nerd - this was probably one of my all time favourite vlogs
Ive been watching mike for literal years and i have to say to see this dudes progress on youtube has been super inspiring, i hope for a day where i can be at a level to have a space like this. Congrats on the studio mike
Hey Mike! As a fellow musician and guitar player it's so cool to see you move into your own space! I was also a camper at sb2w when you were a counselor and it's so encouraging to see all of your hard work pay off since those days!
Your videos have really inspired me and made me restore my Strat back to its original glory after playing 8 & 7 string guitars for years. Can’t wait to see what you create in the future 🤘👽🤘
Nice video man! And congratulations on the new space! I'm currently beginning the process of upgrading my bedroom studio myself and this video is pretty inspiring! Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see the new content!
Congrats on everything! I love your channel. I don’t know if anybody has mentioned it but, that’s T shirt. Welshly Arms is an amazing group. I’ve had the fortune of seeing them live twice already and they are awesome!
WOOHOO congrats Mike!! That's a huge and exciting step to take. Congrats on the home, and congrats on having space for an actual STUDIO! Also, you did a great job decorating the room! It looks fantastic. I might need to get me one of those amp shelves....
8:41 Not using the top racks kinda defeats the purpose of a studio desk. I mean, then it really just becomes a table with a slide-out tray, which you could have put together yourself for a fraction of the price. The purpose of the top racks is to prevent you from having to bend down under your desk when fine-tuning your signals, at which point you remove yourself from the speaker's sweet spot position. Meaning you have to bend down, sit up, bend down, sit up, bend down, sit up constantly, every time you need to change an input or output. But placing your speakers on top of the racks also puts the tweeters at ear level, which is the ideal hight of your speakers from the desk. With the speakers standing on the flat desk, most of the sound will go under your ears and you'll get a much more uneven sound reproduction. The room looks great, though! Nothing like well put together studio where things just flow and the focus can stay on the music.
Glad to see you reach your goal. As a fellow guitarist 2 pieces you may want to look at to add in the future, a khe amp/cab switcher and a gaming/office chair with arms that fold up. The chair with arms that fold up and back are a joy for playing guitar comfortably. Enjoy your newly finished studio for content creation.
You’re growing brother and I’m so happy for you!!! Saying goodbye to the small apartment is bittersweet but moving to this new place is only the beginning!!!
I’m almost 60 and I can’t imagine having all that cool gear when I was your age. We all just had to make due with what we had (which wasn’t much). I’ve been lucky enough to make my living playing and singing but it took me decades to accumulate a studio full of great gear. Congratulations!
Just about to go through the process of making my own studio from scratch. This is a great video for how to think things through before starting. Thank you very much for making this vid! Enjoy your new room of creativity!
I started recording talking videos about drums recently. As I was shooting my 3rd one I couldn’t figure out what the videos reminded me of. Now I do. Apparently you’ve influenced me a lot! Love your stuff dude!
Im so hyped for you, my guy! I built an office/studio in a spare room of ny house and it’s tiny but damn does it feel good when it all comes together! Yours looks great! And so excited to see what you do in there
That is so great Mike. So happy that you have that dedicated space ready to dive in to inspiration and creation. Looking forward to seeing/hearing what comes next.
Congratulations Mike! Been enjoying your channel for quite a while now, looking forward to the next chapter unfolding :) Thanks so much from London, Dominic
Great setup, Mike! Once you start bringing in drum kits you’ll quickly see how much that space shrinks. My studio space is about the same as your room and it’s cut in half by two drum kits and my recording desk doubles as a podcast studio 😅
Looks awesome! I just got a pair of the iLoud Precision 5 in yesterday and really impressed. They have bass as deep as the big Yamaha HS8's but clarity like a small pair of Genelecs, and are perfect size for a home studio. Next up I need to get a new desk and 99% sure I'm getting that Gator Frameworks like you and Joshua have, looks awesome. I also NEED a couch in the back of my room to jam on! I'd love to see how you have your desk setup with the speakers and computer/monitor. That's another thing I've got to figure out!
From a European perspective, American homes all look the same to a certain degree: The walls are always in light cream, so are the carpets and the baseboard, doors and ceiling are white.
From an American, you’re absolutely right. My whole neighborhood is full of houses with the same 4-6 cookie cutter designs. And that’s just the outside
A lot of builders have, within the last decade, started allowing options of other color paints, floors, carpets, and fixtures, as options before the house is built, but houses built before say 2000 were all white walls and beige carpets, with many similar cheap fixtures. We had our house painted grey, with grey carpets. Construction design is all pretty similar though, due to standardization, and costs.
I've been watching your videos for a while now and this video made me so dang happy, it's so deserving. You make absolutely stunning content too and make me want to level up all the time. Awesome work my friend!
Nothing like it! Congrats Mike... it is so liberating to have such a functional space. Congrats and looking forward to hearing and seeing what you create!!!
Way to go, Mike! The first video of yours I watched was the one where you tried playing with .013's, a la Stevie Ray Vaughan. Your honest and entertaining videos (when you act as multiple characters, lol) have kept me coming back since. I hope you gave your complaining neighbors a farewell gift for helping you aspire to have a studio of your own.
Im so happy for you man. I feel like everyone always dreams about having a studio. I know the videos will be even better when you're less limited. Congrats
Congrats Mike, it was fun watching you practice guitar in college and jamming together. It’s really cool what you’ve done. God Bless
-Greg
watching Mike slowly turning into Rhett Shull is weird
Mike is much better...energy win.
If there was ever a scenario that defines "Livin' the dream", this is it.
Blue accent walls for the win
Check the last scene :)

Mazel Tov! You’ve made it. I’m a fan and glad to be a little part of this journey. Use it in good health (as my parents used to say).
That rug really ties the room together.
Donnie…

Congratulations Mike! The studio looks amazing and functional! Wonderful video
Seeing you painting a wall and it’s dark outside brought back memories. Yeah, done that. Congratulations! Great job!

Congrats on the house and the studio room. So great to see you succeed and prosper. Keep rocking!

As an Asian, I share the same thought. Even the lights feel the same shades of light orange or slightly deadpan white
You’ve obviously never been to my house. Granted I grew up in Europe.
A lot of builders have, within the last decade, started allowing options of other color paints, floors, carpets, and fixtures, as options before the house is built, but houses built before say 2000 were all white walls and beige carpets, with many similar cheap fixtures. That’s because all houses are built by the same big corporations
I've been watching your videos for a while now and this video made me so dang happy, it's so deserving. You make absolutely stunning content too and make me want to level up all the time. Awesome work my friend!
Always nice to have an environment that allows the flow to flow freely, congratulations!

12:04 so cool that your friends with Jonathan, tech is another main interest/hobby of mine so I love to see the crossover!
Congratulations Mike, great space. And your enthusiasm is always contagious. Looking forward to more great content!
Congrats!
One thing you may want to consider is getting one or more amp stands for your combos, getting them off the floor makes a big difference IMO.
Congrats on the new space man! Been watching for a while now, so awesome to see the progression
I'm very happy for you Mike! What a great space you've built!
Congrats on the house Mike! As a recent home buyer myself, a dedicated guitar room is a must
