    Two things:
    1) I'd like to have a 1.5 to 2 inch air gap between the backside of the panel and the insulation. You could increase the panels efficiency by adding to this, but that would make the panel excedingly thick.
    2) I would place the folds at the top and bottom of the panel. This would make them less visible (unless you have very short, or very long, guests😉). Having them on the sides of the panels makes them much more visible to the viewer.
I know it's nit-picking, but just the same.

Thanks for the feedback. You could easily do ythe folds on the top, I prefer the look on the side. It looks tailored, but it's definitely a personal preference.
Also, the panels themselves have an air gap of 1-1/2" off of the wall which allow them their efficiency. New video coming out tomorrow showing how I have them hung.
Thanks for the comment Sven! Cheers!

@@justinbrogdon I forgot to include one useful advice. Before adding the fabric, sand down all edges. Especially the sharp corners.
Unless you fabric is made of mithril, it will wear and rip at the edges (sooner or later). sanding them down a bit will go a long way to alleviate this issue. It also reduces to the fabric ripping when you stretch it.

nicely done! we have done a couple of studios with rigid corning 2" fiberglass , fabric and spray adhesive and then they get stuck on the wall with sort of a spike strip or block that is screwed into the wall. got all the fabric and fiberglass from Acoustimac. that method is a little tedious and may cost a tad more than your frames per panel but they look really nice. also another tip is to use a steamer if you have one to smooth out the fabric before installing to the panel, it really makes a difference with the the face and wrinkles.

Hey there from S. Cali, just stumbled on your channel. I'm love my guitars and tube amps! Along with my newly redesigned vintage hifi listening room, so youtube just recommend your channel. Great find!

Thanks for reaching out! Welcome to the channel. I'm a guitar and tube amp junky myself. What are some favorites in your collection?

@justinbrogdon My Fender bassman and my egnater tourmaster has been one of my favorites. I also have a JCM800 clone I had built, but doesn't sound as good overdriven as the tourmaster.

Justin, I was wondering if you could show how you how you hang them over windows. In your studio tour you mentioned a sort of modular way of doing so if I’m not mistaken. Thank you for your time an energy, I appreciate your videos!

Hi Justin. I am not a musician..... or a Dental Hygienist anymore. lol. I was yours in the mid 90's at Dr. Weaver's with Emma Lou. I am a DIYer and build furniture, shelves, anything I need that I can build with wood. Question: I need sound "barrier" on wall that is between my 17yo and 8yo kid's rooms. Should I mount with the cork or no? Thanks!

Hey Mandy! It's been a long long time! Great hearing from you. Thanks for the love! Unfortunately these types of panels are only going to remove the echo and reverb from the room the "noice" is coming from. Sounds like you need more innsulation in the walls between the rooms! Hope you're doing great!

Justin, this video is awesome. I am still not understanding how you hang bass trap the with the cork. Does the Guilford of Main come in the correct dimensions to fit those frames? Do you know how to make those corner bass traps that look like a triangle? What do you use again to burn the wood to frame the trap? If I missed it somehow in the video I am sorry.

I haven't made any bass traps yet, plan on doing that at some point in the near future. I am currently just usinng foam one I got from the www.thefoamfactory.com/acousticfoam/acousticfoam.html. Here's a torch similar to what I used...amzn.to/426Hb1V
