- Contains a live performance of Helen Reddy and a rather cheesy but historically interesting montage of lovers kissing to songs written by Van Morrison and Donovan, but sung by the one and only Reddy.
"Helen Reddy writes many of her own songs. She also perform other composer's works. And to each songs, she adds an extra dimension." -Robert Wagner, 1972
Television live performances of Helen Reddy tend to circulate more, but seldom concert footages where she performs with backing musicians independent of television shows. In ths video you will see segments selected from a 1972 Hallmark TV special “LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!” and colour corrected. (Mac Davis and Bread are omitted) The original soundtrack is kept for posterity.
1. I Don't Know How To Love Him (actual live performance + dubbed studio track)
2. New Year's Resovolution (sic) (segment and a split second of Reddy performing from the backstage view!)
3. Crazy Love (two lovers segment. An interesting montage, but different strokes for different folks.)
4. I Believe in Music (ending credit - I omitted the other half where it has the kids leaving the Troubadour outside.)
❤️😘 RIP. Miss reddy ,we still listen to your beautiful voice,,
She was great. Such an exquisite and unique voice. She was a beautiful woman too.
An amazing, unique, beautiful voice. An amazing, unique, beautiful woman. The lady could sing and she was Australia's first international singing superstar!
One of my all-time favorite female singers, the unique tone of her voice has never been matched, a true talent ❤️
Beautiful song, she had an amazing voice ❤

Damn she was beautiful !!! RIP Helen......
I believe in music I believe in love
I worked down the road from the Troubadour at a small, but famous fast food restaurant and Helen came in a few times. She was a lovely person, sweet, down to earth and friendly. A lot of celebreties came in and she was one of my favorites
❤❤
Such an amazing woman and a voice of silk.
One of my earliest heroes. Rest in peace Helen. You inspired so many. You will be missed.
Forget for so many years 😃 how much I loved her voice. Love reconnect with her sounds

❤❤❤
I was 6 and I had a huge crush on this woman.
WO!
Wow, very old clip. She is just starting out here.
They all began at The Troubadour. Elton John among countless others. This is music history. This place like the ultimate sink or swim concert for all who perform.
She had such a gift..amazing..she used her soul and gave 1000% to her live shows.

I don't know why they had her lip synching to this. That lady could belt it out live.
She is not lip syncing this. These old recordings always were not in time with the video. What Robert Wagner talk his words do not match his lips at times. Yes I am sure certain shows made stars lip sync due to all the drugged up stars that could not preform.
@@balonzoloz84 BS. On I Don't Know How To Love Him her vocal phrasing and the instrumentation were note for note like the record. Listen to the record and compare. Where were the strings on that tiny stage, the backup singers? This was clearly a TV special of some kind. Maybe a promotional movie Capitol Records had made to promote her. The audience members were obviously actors and extras. Notice how the second song and Crazy Love just fade out at the end. Recordings. It was probably easier for them to have Helen lip synch than to try to get the sound just right for film. EVERYONE knows that Helen could sing live. No question. She was lip synching here.
That whole thing with Robert Wagner was weird.
Love Helen Reddy. I prefer Yvonne Elliman’s version of “I Don’t Know How to Love Him”.
