@@alexxela754 the sport is dangerous, thats the nature of it. If you dont want these professional athletes pushing the limit of the sport and their bodies then they shouldnt of put this event on in the first place.. the judges just play favorites
I love comparing the videos of amature skiers attempting Corbets with these pros. The skill difference between the pros and the rest of us is so enormous, so hard to grasp just how incredible these athletes are.
I've said this before in a few comments, but I've been skiing & boarding for over 40 years. Just standing on top of Corbett's is heart stopping. To actually launch yourself into it? You have my total RESPECT.
51 yr old lifelong mogul/freestyle skier here...never imagined us having to dig jumps out with our boots & launch a couple times before Ski-Patrol came around & broke them down to this! Mad respects! JH is a special mountain, ridden it once...or should I say, it let me ride it? This is the best single season contest on the planet! God Bless you all!
50 yr old here, I remember those days. Do a 360 and risk getting your pass yanked! We were all kinda uptight when snowboards came on the hill (I think I was a sr in high school) but they sure did open the way to allowing freestyle at the resort!
My friends on ski patrol used to let us hit corbetts first on big snow days. Never saw anything like this guy. We always aimed for the middle. This guy ...whole new level. Wow guy
It's a dangerous sport, all of us that do 'extreme' sports do what we can to assess and mitigate risk but ultimately accept it as part of what we love to do. Not sure if the waiter meant you don't see deaths or injuries plastered over media outlets but you absolutely hear about them.

Yeah majority of the skiers back slapped and call it a stomp. Gota be embarrassed deep inside when the claim it as a stomp. If a snowboarder butt slapped and then stood back up that's called a crash.
