On a very superficial level, the default Kyo' specials are more similar to the Kyo from KOF94 and 95, and the EX Kyo is more similar to the Kyo from KOF96 onwards.
Not that I'm aware of, but since it's very recent and still in Beta, there may be changes. I believe it won't, following the line of the KOF97 Global Match, but of course I could be wrong.
